Behold, my daily's dashboard in all it's crazed glory, and also the shitty weather.>>281933465/10 - can barely tell what it is, but it's a fresh photo so kudos there.>>281933635/10 - Great view but can't enjoy it without twisting my monitor.>>281933667/10 - Love that wheel design.>>281944956/10 - Comfy looking, but not very exciting or unique.>>281945077/10 - Great view and HUD's are always kinda neat, but wish I could see more of the dash.>>281945536/10 - That Merc is in a somewhat odd location.cont. because the website thinks my post is spam.

thank you ford for the very handy H pattern on the dash just in case I forget and am also physically incapable of looking slightly the right and down at the shift knob that also features the shift pattern

>>28198940I don't have all my cars stored in one location right now due to selling a house and moving into a flat while my next house was finishing construction. I still own them, they are just clogging up relatives driveways for now.I still regular see a red hatch, a MK2 hatch, and a silver MK2 coupe.

>>28198995Not sure why but I keep having issues with loading the file or it gets stripped. Have to head into the office for a meeting anyhow so have another one I run into fairly regularly.

>>28199092Again I'm not sure that's the case. I see them regularly here *shrugs*

This early-2000s one is so out of place.
>>28199486I don't really care. This worked. The original clarion nissan units for this time were ass and many cars had their head units replaced multiple times. To add insult to injury this car had the separate DSP module and amp under the passenger seat. I went through 5 units in the s12, in addition to the 3 it had replaced under warranty. As long as the lights matched the dash, I was happy enough.
Dogshit lighting, but idgaf
This photo is 3.5 years old and is still the best interior shot I have of the car.>>28196087>>28196091>>28196166These are cool looking dashes that are really well shot.

cars will never have this level of soul again
>>28200392>Digital gauges and lights = soulMercedes make the same thing bro, plenty of soul right here for you
>>28200392I did end up replacing the dash in my S12 sadly. When the power supply failed for the VFD and Dash driver board, it pushed 24V through the ttl circuits, frying seemingly the entire logic side of the of the cluster.
>>28200399Soulless digital tampon government tracking device. >>28200392Cyberpunk anime futurism.
>>28200405Ended up with this instead. Not as cool, but a lot easier to read and see. Bad thing about those old VFDs is they become mirrors when they have direct light on them.
>>28200408cope, you'll never obtain true soul
>>28194535>>28193366>>28196160Wtf the steering wheel is on the wrong side
>>28200411That's a really nice dash with those aftermarket gauges. Out of curiosity, why swap the cluster? What else is custom about the car? How are the gauges wired?I've thought about using them too, but that's still quite far off.
>>28200999The original cluster died. I spent hours trying to repair the dash and replaced a long chain of components to try and revive it but it was a lost cause. A replacement digital cluster was about 900 dollars, untested at the time and I was not about to take that risk. The car has a steel syncroed competition box, it's on lowering springs with thicker shock oil up front, fox body rear struts, full poly or delrin bushes, modified twin spark (bridges to both plugs in each cylinder fire at the same time, and the biggest webcams camshaft it could handle without needing additional modifications. The dash gauges are all wired up in the cluster area with intermediary adaptors I made. The original car uses an optical spedo output from a sending unit in the engine bay. That's powered by a relayed dcdc buck converter at 5v, and feeds it's non standard 24ppr output signal into a 555 counter chip to get it back down to a normal range for aftermarket gauges. Tacho signal is just a straight hook up off the dizzy. Oil sending unit and water temp are replacement two prong sensors, instead of old fashion single wire slow report units. The fuel level gauge also has a DC/DC buck to feed the rear sending unit with the 9volts it works with and then the gauge is just calibrated in the car.
