The Apache Mesa was a top of the line, “solid state” pop up camper made in the 60’s and 70’s. They used solid plastic panels instead of nylon fabric, resulting in much better insulation and durability than a typical pop up. They weighed well under 3,000lns, so they could be towed by just about anything. Pop ups also offer much better fuel economy due to their low profile. They were all well equipped and well designed for the time. No one has bothered to use the same basic design in a modernized package.
