has this ever happened to you
>>
>>28195807
No, I only drive diesel trucks
I'd roll coal on em because it's funny
>>
>>28195807
This is a resort town. All of these people are on vacation. Pretty shitty way to spend a vacation.
>>
>>28195824
cant they charge their shit from their hotel rooms?
>>
Might be a rare time when humiliation ritual is accurate.
>>
No, I don't own an EV, and if I did I already have a garage with a 200 amp breaker and service, so I'd just use a 240v outlet overnight and not waste time going to a public charger when I'm not on a road trip.
>>
>>28195831
Probably didn’t plan on it: “we’ll just go to a charger.”

>>28195845
Look at the number of luggage carriers on peoples roofs. They’re all on road trips.
>>
>>28195867
I'd stay at a hotel with charging, and if one wasn't available, I wouldn't have brought an EV because it would obviously be a bad idea. They only make any sense if you have the chargers available, after all.
>>
>>28195807
Hah, thats 30 minutes away from me.

Really shows how rather vulnerable that infrastructure is
>>
>queue speed: 1 car per 30 minutes
>>
>>28195831
there are no hotels in that area (sälen, sweden)
>>
>>28195824
Why would you take an EV on a road trip?
>>
>>28195807
No, and it couldn't be me. I'll never drive an NPC car. I don't think any of those automatons have feelings, so they aren't particularly bothered having to wait there.

Uncanny
>>
Honest question: can't you program them to self drive to a charging station and come back? By now it's well stablished that EVs are essentially paying to get cucked but that would be a redeemer
>>
>>28195807
1977
>>
>>28195898
It can work, but not everywhere. You need to know that chargers are available along the route and your hotel/friend's house has chargers available for overnight charging. Alternatively, you need really big batteries.
>>
>>28195807
No, I'm not a communist

>>
>>28195898
Because the government has decreed that all ICE ales will end by 2030 and it’s literally all that you can buy.
>>
>>28195906
Hot; I'll take all of them!
>>
>>28195998
More lies. No government has banned ICE cars by 2030.
>>
>>28195894
Worse than that, batteries cant fast charge when they are too cold or too empty. Sitting in line with the heater on will drain the battery 50% in 12 hours. If its too cold, the battery needs to burn some of its own power to stay warm & avoid becoming permanently ruined, but also if it runs out and freezes its ruined.
>>
>EVs dont sell
>>
>>28195896
where do they sleep?
>>
>>28195807
Behold, the future.
More expensive and less time for yourself.

>>28195814
Aren't you an AIDS infested whore?
>>
EVs only make sense if you have a reliable ICE vehicle as well and can charge at home. Using it for anything other than the average daily routine is pants on head retarded and all of these people are lefty faggot sheep.
>>
>>28196055
cabins most likely, the parking is often further away from them i beleive and there is no charging probably
>>
I hate norway so much lol why are you like this.

The most fun part: my turbodiesel gets the oil from norway and its converted to diesel

>Imma saving le enviromwnt by driving these battery cars while selling oil!!!
>>
>>28196134
>my turbodiesel gets the oil from norway and its converted to diesel

why does the turbo diesel turn oil into diesel ? I thought turbo diesel converts diesel to power, noise and pollution. Your machine sounds more like a refinery
>>
>>28196146
It sounds like power and force and torque and just working+true economic. Diesel is oil but those with certain number of carbons in a chain namely 10-15. Gotta filter it from toxins like alphalt and gaysolinethat exist in crude oil. Tank turbodiesel in full in Oslo and you get to see the russian border without refuel.
>>
>>28196004
correct; it's actually 2035 when the EU will ban all sales

No but I road tripped and forgot that the majority of the US maxes out at 91 octane, some places 89. Had to drive like a grandma and waste tons of money on octane booster because I forgot to bring my tuner.
>>
>>28195807
the ones towards the back are literally gonna be waiting for hours, right? wonder what the redditoid ev cuck's boilerplate defense of this would be
>>
>>28195907
How would they charge? There aren't any inductive charging pad standards yet and no consumer EV has one installed (although some EV busses do and their charge pads are installed at bus stops to add a few extra miles while they wait, but these are mostly pilot programs to prove the technology works and is robust). Until they are, you need somebody to manually plug them in, and even when you do get inductive charging pads they're probably going to be limited to 10 kW or so max because of the sheer stupidity of the thermal management requirements for level 3+ charging, not to mention the weight.
>>
>>28196206
The guy that owns the company is grabbing building-sized rockets as they land. He's also creating humanoid autonomous robots.I guess if he wanted he could find a solution for a self plugging/unplugging terminal. Hell, the fucking car is subscription based for some features, include a charging station worker for them in the meantime. But OPs video is sad and paradoxically third-worldish
>>
>>28195807
One time it snowed and there was a power outage in my area, so I had to wait in line that wrapped around the block for 30 minutes to buy gas from the one station that was open. Turns out that the power was fine 20 miles away and I could have driven there bought gas without a line. Or I could have driven my van which had a full tank, but I wanted to drive my car
>>
>>28196276
The charging solution is a big cable with a plug at the end, and I don't want to not be able to plug in the car myself.

I also hate the subscription nonsense and want it outright banned from all vehicles, though.
>>
>>28195807
When I got a model 3 as a free rental upgrade I didn't know how bad Tesla charging stations could be backed up. It only occurred once on my travel and it was one of the busiest rest stop area for all travelers. The Tesla car will tell you that you may only charge up to 80% max when Tesa determines if there is too much traffic there for charging, otherwise it will charge you an extra hourly rate to charge your vehicle.
>>
>>28195807
nah im straight lol
>>
>>28196691
so cucked lol
>>28196696
same
>>
>>28196691
That's because it slows down dramatically after 80%. It takes about as long to go from 80% to 100% as it does to go from 15% to 80%. Has to do with how batteries move lithium ions at different rates so some parts of the battery will still be able to push lithium and some aren't, iirc.

Going over 80-85% should only be done very rarely, anyway. You damage the battery doing that.
>>
>>28196175
Are you trolling or actually retarded?
>>
>>28195871
>I wouldn't have brought an EV
Not much choice when Norcuck gov taxes any other type of car out the ass.
>>
>>28196206
>How would they charge?
have some wagies at the charge station
>>
>>28196071
Inhale my carbon dust lol
>>
>>28195807
No I don't drive faggotmobiles
>>
>>28195807
Yeah. That's pretty much what it looks like whenever a station around here offers discounted gas.
>>
>>28195898
why wouldnt you? this is middle of nowhere sweden probably at the end of christmas or easter holiday and its a intersection between two main roads but in typical swedish ways they have zero gad station or service infrastructure along their main roads.
in norway there would be a circle k on one side, a shell on the other side, all with 10+ 150kw chargers each. and in either direction there would be several smaller stations withing range.
when i roadtrip my jeep i got less range than most teslas and i feel for them, i can bring a jerry can but i cant charge from random wall sockets.
sweden isnt that big but they shure know how to keep long distances between fuel stations.
>>
>>28195814
You also fuck dogs, faggot.
>>
>>28197519
What do you drive?
>>
This is insane I'll see just small lines for things and decide not to go there. If I owned a Tesla and was one of those people I would sell it after going through that experience. Idc what the government will tax me for having an ICE vehicle. You're rich if you have a Tesla you can afford the tax.
>>
>>28198037
In Norway, ice is taxed so hard that a civic costs more than a model S
>>
>>28195807
No it hasn't

Electric vehicles are a meme thanks to current battery tech and the grid.

With off grid solar and my home-built 60kwh battery bank, I own my electricity, it's like a gas station at home.

Have fun being dependent on the oil Jew.
>>
>>28198277
Yeah and a car window stops me from pissing on the driver, but I'm sure that the drive still doesn't like me pissing on their car

Doubly false, because you only fuck dogs and men.
>>
>>28198403
>car window stops me from pissing on the driver, but I'm sure that the drive still doesn't like me pissing on their car
Your analogy doesn't hold water. They can drive though the little smoke cloud like nothing.

>>
>>28195807
as much as I'm a defender of EVs and hate anti tesla spam, the fact that they're not mature yet for mass consumption and are only meant (if you're not retarded) as a gimmick toy for richfags is something I will never disagree with
>>
>>28199104
If they were ready, they wouldn't need to be subsidized or artificially advantaged for people to buy them.
>>
>>28199104
worlds first car roadtrip and roadside refueling was when the bertha benz snatched her husbands "car" and took it for a joyride only to run out of fuel and had to purchase naptha at a local pharmacy.
today we have gas stations everywhere.
we also have 100x better coverage in electricity and its just a matter of replacing fuel pumps with chargers.
the cars are more than mature enough, its not everyone that has the charging infrastructure for it.

i've thought about this. if a 7 gallon diesel generator can run 14hrs at 100% load, and a tesla charges at about 30mph on 240v, then that means the generator would be able to generate 420 miles of driving for 7 gallons or 60mpg.
>>
>>28198415
>poor people holding something back
No shit?
>>
>>28198415
how is it holding them back? if you do the math on a truck, its fuel consumption, its depreciation and its service cost, you can literally buy a used shitbox ev and use for your daily commutes instead and break even. only then your truck last longer and it had greater resale/trade in value.
if you can only afford the truck then you really cant afford the truck because you are gonna spend the same amount of money anyway while loosing value on the truck.
>>
>>28201194
My boy EVs only make financial sense because governments sll over the world are subsidising them massively while sabotaging ICEs with regulations and taxes. In an actual free market they'd just be what they really are: expensive toys for some snobs that turn to a petrol car the moment they need an actual vehicle that's practical and gets the job done
>>
>>28201194
i thought evs were meant to be affordable?
