Some say it's 140 mm in Eastern Europe but recently I saw Audi RS3 which has 122 mm parking with its front over a curb and it was enough but I can't tell what happens if a car like this hits a pothole
>>28198491I've daily'd cars with 1" clearance to the subframe/oil pan. Just get/make a skid plate,go slow over railroad tracks, and avoid pothole and places with speed bumps if you can't 1-2-1 wheel over them.MkII and MkIII VW kids have been doing this for literally decades on stupid low static drops.
>>28198831Is this you?
>>28199388
>>28199388No, I only owned vr6 MkIVs, and I carried a jack, 2 2x4s, and a spare oil pan in the trunk. Not even joking. Also, the MKIII is superior.
>>28198831>1" clearanceI've seen cars with 4 times that throwing sparks and plastic debris just entering the supermarket parking lot.Somehow different stretches of asphalt tend to move differently when the ground freezes deep (maybe some of them just have less gravel or worse drainage, dunno).
5" I'd say you can drive without worry. 4" then you'll have to be aware of what you're driving over but you won't be all that much inconvenienced. 3" or lower then it's going to get annoying for you and those around you.
Fastest vehicles for bad tarmac

>>28198491I have about 7" or about 178mm. I only bottom out if there's ice chunks everywhere.
