Will be falling for the cash for clunkers scheme, nit even gen z buys this shit at all
It's already apparent the big auto makers are in trouble when the general public dont want to take out a mortgage for a car or truck that wont even last a decade.
>>28199758Cash for Clunkers ended 15 years ago you god damn idiot.

>>28199771Of course there's always going to be some spinoff bullshit from dealerships saying they'll buy your clunker for X amount of money if you buy a new car from them... That isn't exactly Cash for Clunkers though. What were the exact stipulations of the real Cash for Clunkers program, and how much were you "given" from the government for bringing your car in? The real damn shame is the engines they destroyed in the name of that program... Could the vehicles be parted out at all? Or did they have to go to the crusher? I hate that shit when they demand things be decommissioned and have to be destroyed. Just reeks of government wastefulness...
>>28199804>What were the exact stipulations of the real Cash for Clunkers program, and how much were you "given" from the government for bringing your car in?The car had to drive into the lot under it's own power and have been insured for within the last calendar year. You got $3500-$4500 depending on how bad the car you traded in was on fuel vs the new cars MPG.
>>28199819>>28199819>insured for withinfor/within* I can't remember exactly. Pic somewhat related. I got $4500 for the Town Car on the right, it was worth maybe $500-700 private party at the time. Between the dealer and Ford rebates it was just under $9k for that Focus.
