TFW the biggest challenge to wrenching is actually when you dont have a garage/drive in so you have nowhere you can leave your car in case something goes wrong the time for the new part to arrive.

This is what I do at the moment, but its a pain in the ass having to haul all the needed tools to your car and back.Ofcourse you always forget something so you have to put all your tools in your car (including the fucking wheel if you removed it), lock it, go get what you forgot, come back.
I have to carbon clean my car, Ive watched the videos, it seems easy. But I need to disconnect the battery. But what if I somehow get stuck after this step and cant put my battery back, my car is left opened. I know something will go wrong, it has all the last times I tried to wrench. There is always rust and dirth and for whatever reason a nut isnt coming off or whatever. Things also break etc.What do anons? Give my 2 weeks salary equivalent to a "pro" to do it?

i live in a condo and my association doesn't allow you to work on a car in the parking lot. what i do is to offer free car help to a friend who has a garage and he lets me wrench there whenever i want

Theres no stupid questions thread but this is off topic enough so what do I do with my old donut spare tire? It's been flat since I got the car and I'm replacing it with a full-size spare. Will throwing away the old donut diminish the value of my shitbox at all?
