i mean they're both similar wheelbase, both 4wheel independant suspension, aside from looks what can you honestly tell me seperates them from aesthetic differences and that the ariel has some more horsepower?
the cateram is alot lower entry cost and it's not like you couldn't buy a caterham and put a turbo v8 in it 3 times over for the price of an ariel

Nice, nice. Now lets compare pricing and usability.

Building your own kit car only limited by your imagination, build a 4 cylinder soap box?

Buddy, unless you plan on privateering in LeMans, you do not need that much power. There's also the price, cheapest 2.0L Caterham is 50k USD, while the Ultima RS is over 100k.

Caterham is a much better design than the atom. It doesn't have any weird ass things that don't make sense like using a (relatively fragile mind you) adjustable rod ends as ball joints on parts of the suspension that aren't actually adjustable. Also bear in mind, the seven is designed as a racecar and is actively raced even today, extremely popular still in the UK. Atom was only ever meant to be a street toy.

I'd rather be called a soccer mom in a miata than look like a fuckin dork wearing goggles and buggs splattered on my face in an unimpressive cat ham 7.

with cars becoming more nanny-techâ„¢, in the future the only way to stay cool in /o/ is to either have a ton of money to buy your way out or make your own. or settle for the bus or a chinese electric car
