What’s the driving experience like driving a BRZ vs an old Miata?
>>
>>28203910
Brz is slower desu
>>
>>28203944
Is it actually?
>>
>>28203979
legendary slowness

any 2 liter turbo will pull away with ease
>>
>>28203979
Yes, it's a meme amongst brz owners that Subaru will never make the brz fast
>>
>>28203944
A brz is slow but it isn't slower than a stock miata. A miata will be quite a bit looser with more body roll, much more enjoyable stock on a back road but a brz would be faster stock around a track (still incredibly slow)

Well I’m thinking it’s that or a Mustang. Thought about an old Miata too, but I’d like something reliable for a daily.
>>
>>28204368
If you are going to daily just pick the brz/gt86/gr86. The boothspace is actually existent and the 2 backseats """can""" be used by unlucky friends.
That said if you are only on your own and only carry like two backpacks get a miata with a hard top if you dont want to be deaf from the highway road noise.

Mustang GT

What's your budget?
>>
>>28203910

assume snow on road there be more of skill issue than any other
>>
>>28203989
>a car with a more powerful engine is faster
outstanding revelation, anon
>>
BRZ's can be dialed in for autocross. I done a couple ride alongs and they are fun.
>>
>>28203979
yes. the current gen is noticeably better, but both are quite slow from a dig. there's some old fart that speeds around my work in a FRS and I can comfortably walk him in my fucking jetta
>>
>>28203910
I currently have an NB1 miata and GR86. Also drove 1st gen face-lift BRZ before the GR86.
Both 1st gen BRZ and 2nd gen GR86 are faster and feel more precise or controlled on the road. The NB Miata can be more fun on the steeet especially with the top down, smaller wheelbase, body roll + lack of seat bolstering, and tight throttle response.
As others have said, the BRZ/86 twins are far more practical as an only car or daily driver.

Make sure to post whatever you get here

Ofc, that’s what I was thinking. Wouldn’t have an ecoboost.
>>28204699
30k, though if I can help it I’d prefer not to spend it all.
>>28204769
geez
>>28204761
Noted. Thanks for that input and info anon.
>>28204784
Noted. If I get one then I’d go with a BRZ. Sounds like a nice balance between fun and practicality.
>>28204854
Will do anon. I’ll post under Dark Magician Girl, or something Jesus related will be in my post, anon.
>>
>>28204933
Do you have a preference of era of car?
>>
>>28203989
I don’t want to start an argument which has been a debate for very long. But is the BRZ/ GR86 a slow car? What defines a slow car? Sure, they are not the fastest on straight lines but are they “slow” per se. This car achieved a sub 8min on the Nordschleife.
>>
>>28208111
It’s a slow weeblet car to /o/ which is what matters
