How do they get away with this? Previously their cars were like a mix of several different models, now they are basically 99% carbon copies of real cars.
>>28205277Comapred to real.
i wish they just did shit like this before. i like when the cars are as close to their real life counterparts as possible.only reason they're doing it now, is because they ran out of ideas but still want to sell people shit with shark cards. so they're adding in as many cars as they can, but can't be bothered to give them unique designs for them.
>>28205277
>>28205277>needs to look 30% differentLooks like a mix between a viper and an S2000 with an even more ridiculous wing. So It is fine. And who cares, anyway. If they are selling games and making it good for you to enjoy, why does it matter?
>>28205277I remember them doing that in GTA2
Are they racing again this year?
>>28205277They need to spam as many new vehicles as possible now that people can spend real money to buy them.
>>28205368Nah, it looks 100% like a 5th-gen Viper with a few tweaks to the headlights and grille. Compare that to the original Banshee and the Dodge Viper, they look considerably different.
>>28205277>How do they get away with this? They're not 1:1 copies GTA is a fictional version of the real world and so are the cars. They're more realistic now because it makes $$$ for rockstar and people obviously want to drive the real cars they know
>>28205429It's this, before now the formula was basically mixing two similar vehicles for a generic equivalent. Pic rel was half 240z and half 2000GT, their Lamborghini was half Murcielago and half Pagani Zonda, their Muscle Car was half Challenger and half Camaro. Now it's basically knockoffs of the real thing because people will spend more money to imitate Instagram builds that they can drive around in virtually.
>>28205368Can't see a single bit of S2000 there.
>>28205277It's most likely they're richer than ever before and they're ready for whatever lawsuits come their way. In other words, don't give a fuck come at me bro.
>>28205466Even when there's just one primary influence, like the Comet, the IV and early V-era cars just have more Hot Wheels-ish proportions.
>>28206592What do you mean by hot Wheels proportion?
>>28205456I feel like the Banshee being that size is why so many people are surprised how small Vipers actually are.
>>28205422>the Bravado Banshee (Dodge Viper) is THE poster car for the GTA franchise>sponsors BMWI get the Housers are Scottish so their IQ is capped at 85, but c'mon.
They’ll slap a ridiculous name on the car and claim it’s parody, which is protected speech.
>>28208551NTA but I think he meant >oversized wheels>unrealistic wheelarches>tiny greenhouse>overdone design elements>>28209062Not sponsored, just some rockstar employees that rented a car to do the 24h race together. And an old BMW run by Keevin is the cheapest option, that's all
parody laws. gta is ostensibly a parody of american culture so they can get away with including nearly identical copies of cars in their games, just as they included a near identical copy of facebook and had a mission where you assassinate a near identical copy of the zuck man for reasons i dont remember
>>28205368GTAV online isn't fun or good though.
>>28205368>And who cares, anyway. If they are selling games and making it good for you to enjoy, why does it matter? We're wanting them to be even closer to IRL counterparts. OP was commenting on how they can be so close without some sort of litigation and licensing issues from all the car companies, not that it's a bad thing for them to be so close.
