Is this the official Vulva thread?

I was planning on making a thread to ask, should I get a V60 or V90 and which trims? I don’t want one older than 4 years and I’m willing to buy new as well.

Why? They hardly update.

I feel like pandemic era production cars have “better” miles on them, because Fauci locked everyone indoors for so long.

The 60s have a better looking rear. The 90s will be plusher. Both are rare.

Do I make a dumb decision?

I don't like talking about race, but I'm in a 2/3rds black city and have some insight I guess. Subaru and Volvo are the only brands where it's white or koreans, every time. Even with chevy trucks you've got black people RPP'ing as western cowboys which I actually think is fun. Acura is almost guaranteed to be black, as are BMW and Mercedes. Every maserati owner is black.

What's everyone opinion on the current power train that Volvo uses for these cars?

4 Cyl moving 4300lb sounds sketchy over the long run.

Mine is the twincharged and is a year or so out of warranty and no issues yet. Have it chipped and no issues there as well

If you get one buy it used from volvo. For 6k they give you a 999,999 mile warranty.

Have you heard about the ERAD issues that supposedly some people on Volvo forums complain about?

I would go and check myself, but I'm too lazy to dig through boomer forums

Never heard of it. On swedespeed it seems a lot of them are t8s. I have a 2021 s60 t6.
>>
>>28207064
I ran 3 V70s before they discontinued. I looked at a V90 as a replacement but it was way bigger and I don’t need something that big, so I bought a V60 T5 CC Polestar. It’s about the same size as my old P3 V70, but with more room in the rear seats for a smaller load area. The new i4 engine will never match the old i5s, and the calibration on engine and 8-speed trans is shite.
But I now have a second car for fun, so it’ll do

Volvo's are the official car of the Karen/the male equivalent. They're always miserable douchebags. You're too sophisticated to drive a German luxury vehicle, we get it.
>>
>>28207144
same, I miss my old 240 but people want c4 prices for them

>>28208939
Aren’t there ways to fix cracked dashes? Maybe a lot of effort but probably doesn’t cost 450 bucks
>>
>>28212339
there probably is by rewrapping it and also apparently ipd sells something for $170 that i havent seen. you could also fix it by simply filling in the cracks with silicone or something so itll look good if you squint

I'm cool with that though. Geely wasn't involved yet.

Idk I’ve seen people fill the cracks then sand them, then spray something over to texture it.
>>

Yall goddamn uneducated heathens never even took 5 years of Latin in private school.

Volvo = "I roll" or "I turn"
You can't make that a plural as we "I rolls"
If you're trying to say "WE roll", that's something else

volvini and volvissimo means nothing of the sort, that's just fake italian

The P2 and P3 (EUCD) platforms are derivatives in engineering by Ford prior to the SPA. Look it up.

imagine buying a new volvo when you can but the same model, same trim, for less than half for a previous year model.

I do not care much for the newer Volvos but they are undeniably good looking and the gold standard when it comes to safety. And reliability (mileage wise) can't be that bad seeing how many V90 taxis there are here in Sweden.

Will keep pic related for the foreseeable future, honestly don't know what to get after it.
>>
They're awful. Points I guess for Swedish design, if you like that kind of thing. But they're not particularly great looking, not particularly fast, not particularly luxurious, not particularly great-handling, and relatively expensive to maintain.

>imagine buying a new volvo when you can but the same model, same trim, for less than half for a previous year model.
The good news on the rapid depreciation is that you can get into a used one pretty cheap compared to German cars. The bad news is that it is not a German car.

Every so often I used to think it would be fun to pick up someone else's LS swap, but I've come to my senses.
>>

That's not nearly as bad as mine was but it is triggering my PTSD anyway
>>
>>28215252
These are the only types of people that I've seen driving volvos:
Old ones are hipsters, no matter what
New cuvs are moms
New sedans (do they still make those?) are injuns (dots not feathers)
>>
>>28207064
Buy a used V90 T6 Inscription if you can. The 90 is a little bigger, well worth it. The issue is finding one.
>t have a used S90 T6 Inscription that I got for half price with 14k miles on it 5 years ago
>>
>>28209501
Twincharged here too. No issues at 92k miles. The engine is a bit laggy but thats expected. If I put it in dynamic mode it helps, and I definitely feel the drag with 4 people vs just me. But overall I'm happy.
>>
>>28212035
How many miles?

>>28207048

Damn you were not kidding, I only see two available in the entire country right now. Why is it so rare?
