>believe they look like shit>made for cucks>wife wants one>can't say no to wifey>we test drive one>no exhaust>sounds like sex>insane mpg>manual>hilariously small and comfortable>size of a shoe box>turns heads every cornerForgive me fiat gods but my god this car is hilariously fun to drive. What's/o/'s thoughts on this mini coffin
>>28208013I like it but from a friends experience they are stupid unreliable. If you get one with a warranty great but they will break down and after 50k miles they wont be a reliable daily driver. Maby if you don’t modify them they might be alright. They are stupid fun and good mpgs
>>28208013Car the size of a shoe + fat tarbo = fun times, it's a recipe that's stood the test of time.
>>2820801395hp all sent to the wrong wheels
>>28208013It's as heavy as bigger cars. Why don't you just get a Fiesta ST?
so you're buyimg this for her?i'd never buy a fwd egg for myself.
>>28208013It wasn't very fast, the exhaust note sounded very inauthentic and generally meh, and it being FWD narrows down the amount of fun you can have. Probably a fine for a single car household in the city, but otherwise I wasn't impressed. Much preferred the Mk1 TT my nephew had at the time.
Welcome to Italian cars, anon. It gets even better from here
>>28208023>95Huh? The lowest power was 135 hp to a peak of 210 hp for the pista limited edition. On average the European ones have 180 hp.https://youtu.be/ePl18KzGpmE?feature=shared
I test drove one of these, the salesman was just desperate to get away from a faulty fire alarm at the office. On a sharp right turn at speed sent the rear right wheel off the ground.Anyone that talks shit about these things deserves a wedgie & swirlie.
>>28208160Things that happens only, ONLY, in the fucking USA.You don’t hear any single complaint about Alfa Romeo, Fiat or whatsoever in the rest of the world but from the fucking mutts.Get fucked and keep buying your trash, leave these cars to people who want to enjoy them.
>>28208013Up! GTI is more fun.
they're gaywouldn't be comfortable in one
>>28208193You wouldln't be comfortable with one because you're an insecure nerd.
>>28208163learn to read commie, he was complimenting the vehicle
>>28208197forcing (fooling) yourself to be "comfortable" in a gay situation is how gay people are bornfag
>>28208192I quite like a small car but I just couldn't imagine actually buying one of those when the Swift Sport exists.
>>28208163All 3 of the top gear guys constantly make fun of Alfas and Fiats for being unreliable, overpriced, unergonomic pieces of shit. They just say that gives them “soul”. Eurocucks are quite the curiosity. Anyone who buys a Guilia over the equivalent CT4 or even a German car is something far beyond retarded and self-hating that doesn’t deserve the money they have
>>28208013>can't say no to wifey
>>28208163Alfa Romeo gets a lot of flak in Europe too. Fiat, on the other hand, generally has a solid reputation. They are absolutely everywhere, the cars are very economical, they're small yet spacious, the engines are sturdy but if something does go wrong they're very cheap to fix etc. so I never understood why Americans hate Fiat this much. Is it because the Mutts didn't get the good Fiat models or is it another VW-like case where the quality of Euro Fiats and US Fiats is night and day or a combination of both?
>>28208013>>made for cucks>>wife wants one>>can't say no to wifeyYep you're indeed a cuck. Your post-fact rationalization is pathetic.
>>28208023>>28208074>but bro, you can't, like, drift broooo>reddit told me true enthusiasts only like RWDMouthbreather opinions.
>>28208013I had an Abarth trying to race me today, his cornering were good, but I eventually smoked him on the straight line
>>28208242because we got the infamous Russian steel Fiats in the '70s and 80s and they all disintegrated by the time the decade was out
>>28208013>made for cucks>can't say no to wifeykek>this car is hilariously fun to drive. it's really not. the abarth has a nice exhaust note, but that's where the fun ends.
>>28208160>On a sharp right turn at speed sent the rear right wheel off the ground.>Anyone that talks shit about these things deserves a wedgie & swirlie.this is supposed to be a good thing somehow? Is everyone here just so deprived of good vehicles that they view this clown car piece of italian shit as a fun vehicle?I always thought I would like them, then I sat in one. 5 minute test drive was enough to dissuade me from ever even looking at one again. floppy awful shifter, trash build quality, bad driving ergonomics, there's literally nothing positive I can say about them other than they sound nice.
>>28208319fwd tripodding helps cornering by allowing oversteer
>>28208013I test drove, it felt like I was sitting on a bar stool.weird seating position.
>>28208163you don't hear other countries complain because they drive like 500 miles a year. I don't see any reason why anyone would buy one of these cuckmobiles personally, not when you can just get literally any other hatch. Focus, fiesta, mini, gti, etc
>>28208222kek seething poorfag
>>28208310my russian fiat just works though
>>28208359A 3 series or A4 is the same price and is much more reliable and sensible. Buying a Guilia is just showing how much more cash and comfort and productivity you’re fine with burning
>>28208365the ussr traded italy steel for the 125 and that steel ended up in fiat products which all rusted away. nearly bankrupted lancia and forced them out of the uk.
>>28208227If she has shit taste he should obviously say no and get her a focus st or something or a gr yaris corolla
>>28208254you are delusional from being cucked so hard
>>28208013I truly believe that they are one of if not the best looking new(ish) cars that doesn't cost 100k, however I won't buy one because my godfather had one and it was hugely unreliable and shitty
I've been driving one for a couple of years now, and it definitely is a "it is what it is" sort of car. I think they're in the same for of boat as beetles are where they people who like them usually love them, but most other people will probably think that you're gay for driving one. The overwhelming majority of 500 drivers where I'm at (DC area) are women so it does check out. Most of the attention I'll get in the car is from old guys or people who don't know what the Abarth badge is.If you do end up getting one, I'd strongly recommend you just rip out the back seats because those are much too small for almost anybody to fit in, and the extra space you get allows the car to haul a very reasonable amount for its size. You can either buy "delete kits" (pre cut matched fabric) to fill the space left by them or get creative with using your own materials. I know people have used stuff like stall mats to get a rubber trunk space. As for maintenance, I haven't had any problems (yet). Bought the car around 60k and am close to 120k, and haven't been forced to do any major repairs yet. Nothing I've had to do so far is particularly challenging, but you do need to get used to having no space to work on things and having to do a lot of things through feel. >>28208325Seating position took me a little while to dial in, but I'm very comfortable in the car now (6'2"). You do sit pretty tall in the car, though, and I've never been able to get a good angle with my rearview mirror.>>28208430Unless you particularly like 500s then, yeah, I'd recommend one of the other hot hatches too, especially if you've got a family to think about.
>>28208013just buy a Miata already
Reminder
>>28208513Wow, didn't realise that the Focus was in the City Car (A) Segment, what a great alternative.
>>28208460You are a 70IQ faggot.
>>28208319IT IS A FUN VEHICLE.I've test driven multiple high enders. At least 2 Caymans, a Gran Turismo, Z4, XK8, XF, when I was a delivery guy for a dealer I drove a manual mini cooper. The moment I heard that Abarth's engine light up I felt like I was on the ranch again IN A GOOD WAY.That shit sounded like it was angry it could never be a big damn tractor and was trying to sound even more like one to compensate. And to top that, I had FUN. Probably more than I've had with anything besides a 1970 454 C3, and that's only because of the powerslide u-turn I pulled off.Would I have preferred an original 500? MAYBE. That's how much fun I was having a fwd knock-off.
>>28208242US Fiats are marginally worse than Euro Fiats, mainly just because of their build quality. But it's nowhere near as much of a difference as it is in VWs. The main difference between Fiats in the US and Europe is that Americans are forced to contend with the clusterfuck that is the Chrysler service center. Next to GM, these motherfuckers are the biggest scam mechanics out there. They will charge out the ass and they usually aren't properly trained. And if you try to find a mechanic that focuses on Italian cars, many of them only focus on exotics. So you're pretty much just left to fend for yourself if anything goes wrong... which it often does because Americans absolutely despise preventative maintenance. So buying a used Fiat at this point is a big gamble purely because you have no idea how the previous owner(s) treated the car.
>>28208013Looks nice but are they sold in mens?
>>28208013>>28208019>>28208021>>28208114>>28208160>>28208197>>28208531>>28208655 <-- (You) in particular with those faggot redditor typing patterns
>>28208013small fun hatches are the final redpill
>>28208160This is what you should expect from a proper fwd suspension setup. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/make-your-front-wheel-drive-car-faster-advice-pro-/
>>28208013Fix it again, Tony
>>28208517Fiesta exists too
>>28208319>nothing positive I can say about them other than they sound nice>>28208655>The moment I heard that Abarth's engine light up I felt like I was on the ranch again IN A GOOD WAY.>That shit sounded like it was angry it could never be a big damn tractor and was trying to sound even more like one to compensate.LolYes, they sound nice. That's all.
>>28208013i quite like it. it sounds hilarious.
Now replace the alternator.
>>28209309>if you don't ONLY like RWD cars you're a soicuck! You are a mouthbreathing niggerfaggot and you will never be an actual enthusiast.
>>28208242>Fiat>ReliableDude the only worse thing than an italian car is their wiring and electronicsMaybe before stellantis but nowadays they are inefficient shitboxes with an expiry date
if you still want the sound but in a car that doesn't quite look so gay, dodge darts with the 1.4 turbo make a bit more power and are larger inside
>>28210034>nowadays they are inefficient shitboxes with an expiry dateThat's all new cars thoughey. 90s and 2000s Fiats are solid machines, the only real complaints I've heard from people are rust related issues.
>>28210061They were the kind of car that self destroyed to the limit of usability and remained like that for 15 years. Still shitty wiring in general. Bravas and bravos and even the first generation barchettas are all in junkyards
>>28210113Actually yeah in all fairness now that I think about it the Fiat brand is entirely carried by the Punto and Panda. Even nowadays those are the only Fiats I see often.
>>28209975If you own a 500, you better make it a regular part of you day to pray that the especially annoying parts to replace don't fail you, even the seemingly innocuous ones. You know how fog lights are generally pretty simple to replace? For the 500, you either have to pull off the front bumper or snake your hand through the labyrinth of an engine bay from under the car to do the whole thing by feel. I avoid taking off the bumper if I don't have to so I can avoid stressing the tabs, but those two small bulbs took me the better part of an hour to replace because of how much of a piece of shit this car can be
Fix it again Tony
>>28208013They're fun to rip around in Assetto Corsa, sadly I live in Florida where the most fun you can have while driving is going mach fuck on the highway.
>>28208013Oh anon.. uhm.. Look, i know our lives are miles apart and i cant really "relate". But i understand. I do. Your mother abandoned you when you where just a babyboy. Your dad soon got a boyfriend, they neglected you. Left you home in shitty diapers while they where out the entire night. To get "all the chocolate bananas", they said. To make up for all that missed attention you've since dedicated your entire life to getting all of it, good or bad. You want to be the rebel, the edgy dude, the interesting quirky guy, the cool guy who doesn't care, the misunderstood artist, the individualist, etc. I get it, your motivations atleast. But at some point we need to face some facts.. One of those facts is that life is indeed tough, unfair and harsh and we cant fight that. Rather, we need to accept that and navigate through it. And that simply means that, sometimes, generally, we just cant be that special snowflake. We must go with the stream, blend with the crowd. Because how people look at you DOES matter. What they think of you DOES matter. Your public image largely dictates your credibility. You could be the best lawyer in town. But if you insist on wearing a clown suit to court, people would rather get sentenced to life in prison than to be represented by you. Exact same deal with that car. You might think it makes you "special" or "interesting", but i reality it just makes you questionable, untrustworthy, and creepy. >b-b-but its so practical.. No anon. No. This just isn't it. This is not the way you want to be going. Please, just trust us on this. We care about you.
