What does /o/ think about my new maverick?
>>28208564I had a feeling you were a Jeet.
that thing's cooler than being cool. Ice cold
>>28208564tampon machines in mens washroom vibes
>>28208564I dont think about it at all. Why does your neighbor have starlink despite living in what is very obviously the suburbs?
>>28208564Based. I know you're a reasonable jeet man based on not going into debt over a lifted f350
>>28208564Might be a little to much truck for you.
Why not tell everyone that you're $55k in on the truck before taxes and financing?
>>28208564Looks like a practical vehicle to park in your garage and take to home depot once or twice a season
ford escape is a shitty cheap platformif/when they make an all new compact suv platform and actually make a decent hybrid with a 2.0t + 2-3+ kw battery and a decent interior and a bit more space I will take it seriouslythis is just repackaging mediocre leftovers>only highest trim gets adaptive cruise controlshitbox I tell ya
>>28209049Total shitbox made with leftovers is fine when it was still only $20k starting, but now days you have to spend well over $30k to get something half decent
>>28208564Are they the based steelies? If so, sweeet.
>>28208564Cityfag kys
Did you consider an F150 Hybrid? It also comes in 4x4 and is probably much more stable for your 4000lb car and hauler. Seems like the base trim of the F150 PB would cost the same as your max trim Maverick. Is your area really that tiny?
>>28209410>just buy a vehicle that’s three times as big with 40% reduced fuel efficiency and a base trim levelThe size and efficiency are the selling points of the Maverick. People buy them specifically because they don’t want and especially don’t need anything bigger.
>>28208564Nice. I ordered a 2025 and it's scheduled to come in this week. I'm trading my 2023 Maverick for it. People on this board are really upset about the Maverick, I think because it's a sour grape vehicle for them. It's exactly what most of them want, but they are too poor to buy new vehicles. Expect to see it become an /o/ cult classic in 5-10 years when there are a lot of used ones for these poorfags to finally get.
>>28209410OP is a retard, he's in Canada where the Maverick is overpriced but the F150 (gasser, PB, Lightning) are all being given away for next to nothingThis genuine RETARD spent more on a Maverick than he would have on an F150>m-muh size!Dude lives in a shack in some podunk town in Canada, he's not a Euro in a city where space is a concern. Fact of the matter is that he went out of his way to spend more money for less truck because of /o/ memes
>>28209493This makes sense, considering how many people post that you can’t get one for under $40k due to dealer installed options and “markups.” I think one Anon itt said they were $55k before taxes. 2025’s haven’t even arrived on dealer lots yet, so any pic you see of someones new Maverick was definitely bought at MSRP (plus delivery, because it’s a custom orders). You just go to the dealership, order it, leave a small deposit (like $1,000), and wait like two months. Only a nigger couldn’t do this because of instant gratification/high time preference and the financial means to only afford used vehicles at 15% for 8 years.
>>28209355>nearest house is 2,000 feet away>no fences>”city”
>>28209543>>28209493>most common new vehicle in NA is an F150>"everyone's jelous of my Maverick!"jfc
>>28209410Considering the base model f150 hybrid costs the same as my fully loaded maverick (inb4 they're giving them away speech), is too big for what I need, drives like ass, and is worse on gas, no I didn't really consider it. The maverick does exactly what I need it to and despite what the internet says the interior is fine. >>28209510Okay but you're missing the point where I don't want an f150 so why the fuck does it matter that I didn't get an f150? >this retard didnt buy something he doesn't want hurrdurr look at him.I also work in toronto which is one of the most congested shitholes in north America, and trying to navigate it on a daily basis with a full size truck is absolutely aids. Can you do it? Sure. You can drive a semi truck though toronto. But why would I when I don't need to. I just needed something with a bit more utility and space than my wife's veloster, something good in the snow that can tow a trailer and throw bags of dirt in. while still being good on gas. I wanted the tech features so i opted for the lariat. The maverick fits the bill for everything I need it to. The f150 does not. I'm not sure why that's so hard to understand.
>>28209598>The maverick does exactly what I need it toHaul air? You bet it does. Haul a slow as fuck FRS and a trailer? Lmao no
>>28209347no, just alu ones that look like steelies
>>28209567Is the f-series the most common vehicle on /o/?
>>28209598But didn’t you hear? You can offer 25% of MSRP on an F150 Lariat Hybrid and they meet you halfway and suck your dick before letting you drive off at 0 down and 0.0% for the first 96 months.
>>28209623If someone's offering 0% financing that's just free money and you'd be foolish not to stretch that shit out
>>28209626I know it was 2% over the holidays for 60 months on everything but the raptor. Still pretty good. Now it’s 36 month which is not great.
>>28209604>Haul air?Yeah? Like 99.999% of every full size truck on the road right now? that's my point. The bed will be empty the majority of the time. So why would i get something thats worse in almost every way that matters to me, just so i can haul more air. I just don't understand that logic. >>28209626It's not free money when I need to spend tens of thousands more on a vehicle to get the same features that matter to me? What the hell kind of logic is that? I'll have this thing paid off this year so I'm barely going to pay any interest on it anyways.
>>28209616Considering you can buy running shitpiles for less than $1k, yeah
>>28209642>bed empty>still buys a shitty truck instead of a good car Can't make this shit up
>>28209645It literally has a ford focus chassis you shrimp dick faggot.
>>28209544I can literally see another house in the picture faggot.
>>28209598I'm not knocking your choice of the Maverick. I fully believe it's an amazing compact truck option. I'm just trying to understand your mindset around towing a load near it's limit, especially in Canada. I thought the general rule has been 80% of tow rating, other anons free to correct me. The F150 platform would have provided you the assured stability needed for that track day at a comfortable 6-8000lbs. Is that tow package on the Maverick good enough to keep your transmission and etc cool without derating power output from overheat on a hill? F150 Hybrid has this issue at it's tow limit on hills too. Everything isn't just about cost and comfort, shit has to be safe when you pull it.
>>28209567Yes>>28209643Right lol
>>28209642All of this. I know for a fact I don't need to tow something. But I need to move around yard waste and pick up larger furniture. All of which the Mavrick can do. Why pay an extra 10k~15k to pull an extra 10,000lbs. it is a waste.
>>28209778A: It's a 30 minute drive to the track, twice a year, all flat ground on back roads 80kph speed limits. B: I've done way sketchier shit in a vehicle. I've seen other people do way sketchier shit. This is fairly low hanging fruit in terms of dumb shit you can do with a vehicle.C: ford would sell less full size trucks if they increased the tow rating on the maverick. The Santa cruz, which is arguably the same vehicle, can tow 5k. I am fully convinced this thing would have no issues towing 5k but ford didn't rate it as such so it doesn't cut into ranger/f150 sales.D: I would have bought the maverick even if it couldn't tow at all. The fact that it can tow 4k is just a bonus. if it's actually an issue I rent an f150 for the 1 or 2 days a year I go to the track. The rest of the year I have a lifted focus with a bed that does what I need it to. E: At 2002 ford ranger, with worse tires, brakes, less safety features, and less weight, was rated for 6500lbs. And body on frame aside it's just physics. If vehicle A is rated for 6500lbs while being worse in every measurable metric for what makes it safe to tow, there's no reason why vehicle B is rated so much less than it. Physics hasn't changed, what's changed is companies being jews and wanting to sell you more expensive vehicles. Tldr: ford is jews, i didn't buy it to tow shit with. I liked what it offered even not including towing. I will try towing and if it doesn't work out I rent a truck. Not that complicated.
>>28209778>Is that tow package on the Maverick good enough to keep your transmission and etc cool without derating power output from overheat on a hill? The transmission on the hybrid Maverick is probably the most bombproof part of it. It’s an ECVT; its simplistic concept with few moving parts (comparatively) lends itself to very high durability. But the eco boost? It’s an 8 speed automatic/hand grenade with the pin pulled.I looked up the tow package on Fords website. It’s not just a brake controller and a receiver. It includes a transmission oil cooler and a different ring and pinion ratio. The eco boost includes a larger radiator, presumably because it’s a turbo so the cooling system has a different duty cycle. The tow package is a $750 option so I’d suspect most people opt for it.
>>28208564that's really gay, I'm an expert in gay btw so I know what's gay or not gay
>>28209820Good info. Post interior. I've already said in other threads I'd upgrade from a Focus to a Maverick if I didn't already have a 94 F150 for gopher jobs.
>No v8 optioncrap
>>28209778>towing a load near it's limitHe's going to be towing well over its rated limit, 120% instead of 80%. This is why he's retarded
>>28209820A 2002 Ranger had it's tow rating pulled ouf of its ass. A 2025 Maverick has it's tow rating determined by J2807 towing testsYou've been posting on this board for over 10 years and still don't know anything about cars
>>28208564Is the maverick even 4x4? Are most of the recall issues fixed on the latest model?
>>28210386It's FWD biased AWD. THe 2024's have like 15 recalls so knowing Ford this revamp probably has even more issues. Remember. This is the same company who struggles to keep spark plugs in a head.
>>28210386Slip n grip system lol. I think that one uses a Prius system where there's no real connection to the back wheels and it's just a weak ass electric motor
>>28210392>>28210394fwd utefags need to kill died
>>28210394Show bus pass. There are two electric motors on the hybrid Maverick (and Prius, and most hybrids): a motor generator for starting the ICE and charging the hybrid system, and a traction motor for propelling the vehicle. Both are hooked into an electronic continuously variable transmission, along with the ICE. The rear drive unit on a Maverick (and Prius, and Bronco Sport, and a shit ton of other AWD vehicles) is a mechanical clutch pack, also called a power transfer unit. Here’s a video on how the transmission works: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jofycaXByTc(Notice that the motors don’t just turn the rear wheels or whatever the fuck your claiming)Here’s a video on how a power transfer unit works: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BMv_v9IBugU&pp=ygUTQXdkIHJlYXIgZHJpdmUgdW5pdA%3D%3D(Notice that it Bowles directly to the transmission, and is powered by the drive of the vehicle).
>>28208564As long as your happy with it
>>28210831On the Prius and similar hybrids, the AWD is actually AWD-e. the rear axle isn't physically connected to the engine in any way and instead uses a separate 3rd motor for powerPredictably, it's shit >The new Prius uses an intelligent all-wheel drive system that Toyota calls “AWD-e.” Similar to the AWD found in the RAV4 Hybrid model, the Prius’ system has no mechanical linkage from the engine/motor/transmission to the rear wheels. Instead, it’s all electrical with an added motor on the rear axle to provide propulsion there.
>>28210953He was right about the Maverick and wrong about the Prius. You were wrong about the Maverick (the subject at hand); the rear wheels ARE physically connected to the engine. There is no third motor.
>>28208564Nice, check out mine! Just got it home
>>28212662I noticed there are no badges on the tailgate designating AWD or hybrid or anything else. It looks really nice, and made me wonder why all badges are pretty much the same ubiquitous plastic-chrome letters. They’re different fonts, sure, but they’re basically the same thing.
>>28213089It's a good question, agreed the tailgate looks great
>>28208564I like your entry way and windows around the door on your poverty entry home. I'ma do that to mine when I sell my fake internet money. My house real uggo on the outside.
It's gay, like you, OP. Those things are tiny in person
>>28213257>small truck bad
>>28212662These look good in white actually but that headlight redesign is just dumb
>>28213308It's growing on me.
>>28213308It's actually "Desert Sand" though desu if I named the color I would've named it Team Cream
>>28208564Oh anon.. uhm.. Look, i know our lives are miles apart and i cant really "relate". But i understand. I do. Your mother abandoned you when you where just a babyboy. Your dad soon got a boyfriend, they neglected you. Left you home in shitty diapers while they where out the entire night. To get "all the chocolate bananas", they said. To make up for all that missed attention you've since dedicated your entire life to getting all of it, good or bad. You want to be the rebel, the edgy dude, the interesting quirky guy, the cool guy who doesn't care, the misunderstood artist, the individualist, etc. I get it, your motivations atleast. But at some point we need to face some facts.. One of those facts is that life is indeed tough, unfair and harsh and we cant fight that. Rather, we need to accept that and navigate through it. And that simply means that, sometimes, generally, we just cant be that special snowflake. We must go with the stream, blend with the crowd. Because how people look at you DOES matter. What they think of you DOES matter. Your public image largely dictates your credibility. You could be the best lawyer in town. But if you insist on wearing a clown suit to court, people would rather get sentenced to life in prison than to be represented by you. Exact same deal with that car. You might think it makes you "special" or "interesting", but in reality it just makes you questionable, untrustworthy, and creepy. >b-b-but its so practical.. No anon. No. This just isn't it. This is not the way you want to be going. Please, just trust us on this. We care about you.
>>28213643Tldr>>28213638Desert sand looks good with the lariat truffle interior. Glad i went with the black trim package tho it makes the 20,000$ interior feel like a 30,000$ interior.
>>28210379>m.muh J2807 standardYou do realize that ford could have it rated for more and still say it's only 4k right?https://youtu.be/ULdjKYNHr94?si=wKbd6VG-119zWkHtThese guys towed 4000lbs up a 7% incline at 11000 feet, which drops the hp by about 50 on a naturally aspirated engine like this one over sea level. At that level the manufacturer recommends reducing the payload by 20% or about 1000lbs. [/spoiler/] it did fine and in some cases better than some midsize trucks. I'm willing to bet the maverick would do perfectly fine in your benchtowing at 5k lbs but ford doesn't want it cannabalizing ranger sales more than it already is.
>>28208564Nice rolling humiliation ritual.https://youtu.be/ULdjKYNHr94?t=734
>>28214204Yeah good eye. Matching the interior is exactly why I picked it.
>>28208564Santa Cruz is better
