>be me>be 24yo>own a fucking badass 1998 Fiat Panda >be you>be idfc yo>not owning a fucking badass 1998 Fiat Pandahow do you even cope with this?pic rel
looks like a slow piece of junk, but if it makes you feel like a special snowflake, more power to ya
Cannot cope.I kneel.orz
>>28208666based
>>28208666I see your panda and raise you not one, but two Aspires... Checkem Mate!
1998 fart poonda
You're brown, though
>>28208666I have a 1982 golf which looks kinda similar to your panda, and a 1998 sti, and a 1989 fzr400, and a 2021 motoguzzi V7 My garage is pretty much exactly what I want it to be. The only thing I want to add is a subaru sambar
>>28208666>be me>be 31yo wrenchlet>own a different badass '98 small car>don't even drive it because it needs maintenance and I'm too depressed to even think about pulling it out of the garageidk how I even cope
>>28208666Instagram handle sticker on an old, stock, poverty tier shitbox is about the gayest thing you can possibly do these daysThe Panda itself is really nice though, well done satan>>28208951huhwhy did someone have a pair of Aspires lying around
>>28208951>>28209251Did anyone else ever pronounce "aspire" as if it were an empire of ass? "ass-pire" rather than a-sPIre? the former seemed to be the default to me and everybody I know who ever referred to the aspire, and I don't know where it started.
>>28208951>2nd gen festiva1st gen gang
I’m not a eurobro so I don’t really get it but what is the point of owning a panda when you could have one of these instead?
>>28209362
>>28208666>instagram stickerYou just might be the biggest faggot of the board, if we disregard the fat trucker.
>>28208666>get in literally any crash above 40 kph>die
>>28209509Just don't crash?
>>28209251>huh>why did someone have a pair of Aspires lying aroundDunno man, but it was $300 for the pair and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to own such sweet pieces of automotive history... Figured I might rally em around the prairie or do something else stupid with them. The running driving licensed one was an automatic and using some oil. The parts one had a standard. Someday I kinda want to take the transverse engine and turn it longitudinal and then run left and right CV shafts to front and rear axles like you see some buggies done. Would make for a real light and compact drivetrain. Probably never happen though as I have much more important projects to do before I die.
>>28208666>it's not even the best pandaSadge.
>>28209362Depends on which one you mean. The one OP has probably gets mogged in every conceivable way by the Twongi (unless it's a 4x4) as it predates the Twongi by a whole decade. If we're talking about the MK2 then it's a different story, but still not really a fair comparison as the MK2 also came out 10 years after the Twingo initially released. However, if you're just looking at it from a 2nd hand market point of view, then basically>Panda is a bit longer and taller and therefore more spacious, I can easily fit inside mine even doe I'm about 6'3, drove 3 other people in it a couple of days ago too without many issues. I don't think the Twongi can easily manage this. The boot is also a bit larger too.>Panda's a bit narrower and so it's easier to park etc.>Panda's a bit better on fuel economy.>Can get a diesel Panda which is a very common business vehicle here for some reason.>Can get a 4x4 Panda which is deceivingly good at off-roading for what it is.>Can get a 1.4l 100hp version in some cunt trees.>Panda is safer in a crash. If we're just comparing the somewhat similar 1.2 I4s on both cars then it effectively boils down to the Panda being more practical and the Twingo being more fun to drive.
>>28208666My car is better, tony.
>>28208666Also it looks like a golf.
>>28209258How do people live with cars like this? Rusted out doors and fendres, probably roached out interior. Filthy constantly because if you tried to wash it half the car would dissolve into the gutter. Unfun engine, poor mileage, look like a methhead going to some petit larceny scheme, can't even be proud of it. Just says "I've given up" in the automobile form.
>>28208666>MUH HECKIN BAD ASS PANDA!!! Die Redditor faggot.
>>28209633The Rotsun Thot Patrol is fucking filthy because it's a work trugg, admittedly a 3.2 litre NA diesel straight 6 is far from a fun engine, but it's "reliable" and runs on waste oil.The VW Caddy is a heap of shit, but it was free and pulls yard tractor duty, so it doesn't matter what it looks like. the 1.6 diesel works on oil, good enough. The paint on the Skoda is just faded because it's red.I actually ended up liking that faded red matte tone, so I left it as is. It's not really filthy at all. It's 136M swapped, converted back to dizzy and a carb, it's not fast, but fun enough to chuck hektik skids with. It also gets surprisingly good fuel mileage, like 6-7 litres per 100km so about 33mpg at worst.
>>28210033Finnbro, every time I see your pics across threads, I gotta say, I admire you.
i wish i had that much pride in being poor
>>28209576Ex Twingo and Panda 169 4x4 owner here, pretty much agree with this except the fuel economy, imho these cars are all in the same range with insignificant differences. Both very spacious and practical for their size, both cheap to run and both setup to be soft and understeery. One advantage of the Twingos is much better rust protection and paint quality despite their extra age. Pandas otoh can get very crusty, especially the sills and on 4x4 models rear subframes.
>>28210033How much are old but serviceable Volvo bricks? What about the old Volvos that were taken really good care of by an elderly person in Finlandia?A decent one with high miles like the yellow one in your pic would easily be $5000 in the US.
>>28208666I’m 22 and have a classic vetteI could care less but if you like it then good for you
>>28210431>I could care lessYou're already a boomer. Its also a C4 that nobody fuckin cares about isn't it?
>>282086661998?that looks like it's from 1978wtf is wrong with europkistan?
>>28210456Why so defensive?
>>28210425A very rough, but roadworthy one can be like 2 grand nowadays, there used to be 500 buck cars.A well kept one starts at around 4 to 5 grand, but I doubt there's any genuinely pristine ones left anymore. Also mine is anything but decent, it's a work car and the previous owner barely took care of it. The rear wheel wells and the flanks in the trunk were rusted to shit, it had buzz saw springs and of course on stock shocks that bottomed out and leaked to shit when it was slammed.Had issues with the electronics for days too, honestly just stay away from EFI bricks if they look even slightly tampered with, they're just as nightmarish as BMWs or Mercs to deal with when they get uppity.Volvo reliability doesn't extend to their electronics.
>>28209542>a pajeet late for his pizza delivery runs a red light and tbones you nothing personnel kid
>>28208666>not owning a fucking badass 1998 Fiat Pandai feel so bad about myself right now
>how do you even cope with this?i have a FIAT UNO motherfucker
Ritmo
>>28211141>retards on the road means everybody must drive garbage pigfat stacymobilesWtf I love 15-min cities now.>>28210033Wait a minute I've never seen that BMW before.
>>28211531Ritmos are kino, with or without the 2l twin cam engine
>>28211531My old man had one. Considered remarkably safe because there was nothing inside to hurt your self on/with.130 was better because five more.
>>28211614E32 750i, 5 litre V12 landbarge
>>28208666where's my wolt delivery rajesh?
>>28209362The Panda is almost an 80's counterpart to the Twingo, while the twingo is all bubbly and full of soft curves the Panda is just straight lines, the most basic square on wheels that Italy could make, with lawn chairs for seats, lawnmower sized engines and not much else
>>28212646>not much elsesome have 4WD
>>28209576>Can get a 1.4l 100hp version in some cunt trees.I see an occasional one pop up for 3k, I kinda want one as a daily
Give me one reason why I shouldn't pull the trigger on this badboy. Not sold in my country so it's the only panda for sale.
>>28212965Funnily enough they're extremely good offroaders.
>>28214764the older model is better for offroad >>28212965
>>28214781Sure, they're cooler too, but they're unobtainium in Norway... Also I'm not gonna offroad, just need to handle shitty snowy conditions. My '97 corolla does not handle snow storms very well.
>>28214784in this case, go for that newer modeli hear they do pretty good in the snow
>>28214784>norwayaren't you guys punished if you don't go electric?
>>28214787cool, gonna go count my coins>>28214790yes, 10 lashes. but it's worth it, I only drive for adventure and driving over mountains in -20c with an EV sucks balls. I just test drove the Polestar 4 fully specced for a trip, and it was a fun car but no soul and I had to charge all the time..
>>28214790How are you even supposed to drive an EV in a cold place like norway? Wouldn't battery capacity just evaporate
>>28214901It does, but still 95% or something of new cars are EVs since it's subsidized to hell.. It helps that there are fast chargers everywhere though.
>>28214904Amazing use of tax payer's money
>>28208666But I like my 1968 Plymouth Barracuda too much to trade it for a 19968 Fiat Panda
>>28214764Diesel or gas? You might find the gas engine underpoweredAnd check the rear subframe for rust, it's usually the first part that goes so they're getting rare. >>28214784Pretty good in the snow, easy to do skids or donuts kekIt's got the usual part time AWD, but it engages quite aggressively. I had a diesel 4x4 with all seasons and I could pull 2nd gear 4 wheel drifts in the wet
>>28214909We're the global leader in innovation in that area. New and interesting schemes are invented every year!
>>28214923Gas, unfortunately... Thanks for the heads up!
>>28208666You're 24yo and drive a pos like that? I'm sorry.
>>28214909Especially for a country that lives off oil exports kek
