Near in mind, hypercars are sold even before they are announced
That meh interior...
>>28209019>310x173
>>28209018
>>28209018>hybrid supercar with a twin turbo v6GEE I REALLY WONDER WHY IT ISN'T SELLING!!!!
>>28209159Engine from the 499P should count for something.
>>28209159I don't think the average person cares about that. They just care if it is fast or not.
>>28209018these companies reach out to their best buyers way before they debut anything. also this car doesn't have a V12, doesn't have some sort of crazy aero, and looks like a lego car
It doesn't even have any sound, super muffled.
>>28209165You must not know average people then. Also, average people aren't buying a fucking Ferrari. At the very least, the type of person who buys a Ferrari will care about the sound of the engine and this thing sounds very sterilized.
>>28209177the buyer of a ferrari cares about 1. how much they can make when they can re-sell that ferrari 2. how it drivesin that order
Maybe the normies finally figured out Ferrari sucks.
>>28209018who took ferrari's pie?
>>28209187No normie will ever be in the position to do these kind of things
>>28209178And I'm sure a v12 laferrari will fetch more than a v6 f80Because even those rich average people who happened to like cars slightly cares about having big engine
>>28209166>doesn't have some sort of crazy aeroIt has 1000 kg of downforce
>>28209187No, ferrari doesn't suck. Your mum doesBut it's been mediocre lately
>>28209164You can buy a 499p modificata for about the same price (€5M)
>>28209018>Look good for a ne->V6NOPE>Hybrid Lol fuck no
>>28209215>>Look goodIt doesn't>HybridI think that's not a problem since Laferrari together with P1 and 918 established hybrids as cool>V6That's a problem indeed
>>28209164the porsche 919 won the world endurance championship and le mans 3 times in a row but it used a turbocharged V4who the hell wants a turbocharged V4 in their hypercar?
>>28209159i doubt it will be a called a cult classic in 30-40 years eitherjust put a fucking v12 turbo/sc in it and call it a day
>>28209244It will be like F50. Some will call it an exciting classic but most will call it ugly and disappointing
>>28209159>hybridEven Acura managed to sell this pos made by a woman
>>28209018>Update:>Ferrari has clarified that all 799 units of the F80 have already been allocated and that the recent reports are untrue. >With that said, we would like to give you a background on how this story developed over the last couple of days. It all began with an Instagram post, which claimed that the F80 production was not sold out. We reached out to our contacts to confirm this. Unfortunately, it appears that we were totally misled by multiple sources. And /o/ loses again
>>28209249V6 Ferrari is fucked You can tell they'll stuff a v12 in it why beta test a car with a half cucke size engine
>>28209291
how do you put a v6 in a ferrari with a straight face? that's the funniest shit i've ever heard. i'm sure it's fast as balls, but if you care about speed get a valkyrie.
>>28209363I would gladly see Valkyrie vs F80 vs W1 vs Porsche Mission X vs AMG One race
>>28209223The V4 is a novel engine design for cars, and it can sound pretty good if V4 motorcycles are anything to go by.
>>28209291would have really surprised me if that had been true to be honest.Even the Mercedes AMG-One with it's odd styling, tiny F1 engine weird maintenance plan was already sold out before the public knew about it's existenceGranted, they made less AMG-Ones than F80s (275 vs 800), but still
>>28209363>how do you put a v6 in a ferrari with a straight face?
>>28209164you would think so huh but that's not how it works, for you see, v6s are gay.
>>28209484>DinoIt clearly stated
>>28209291Ferrari lies
>>28209484did these come with ferrari badges on them?
>>28209291>source was instagram postJournalism is dead.
>>28209487Yes. V6s are gay but I6s are straight.
>>28209018The 296 kinda made every offering they have today a bit pointless. The SF90 isn't much faster and sounds worse than that 6 and it's lighter and smaller and better looking to boot. Even thought the interior is totally chimped I'm sure the 296 will actually sell. I actually like the look of this car, controversial opinion I know, but it's just kind of lifeless. It's the same powertrain as the little GTB, nothing bespoke about it other than said looks. I get why no one wants to fork over money for an allocation when everyone with that kind of money is fighting to get a GMA car or waiting on that latest lambo to come out.
>>28209165F80 purchasers don't care about that at all. Maybe 10% of the ones sold will ever get above 1,000 miles. All these high end hyper cars at this point are just going to rich collectors.
Super car prices have been dropping lately if you've been paying attentionpeople simply dont have money to blow and watch depreciate, especially for some warehouse queen when the economy is about to drive off a cliff over the next 4 years ( not because of trump but because the economy is broken )
>>28210728nonsense. people will always buy exotic cars. ferrari survived multiple economic collapses. people kept buying their cars even while various markets were going under, because they knew it would hold value. same with porsche.
>>28209187Much like the Native Americans at Thanksgiving things went great......once. When Enzo passed the spirit passed with it.
>>28210776I wish I could agree with you but both Ferrari and Porsche have come very close to going out of business because of economic recessions in the past, and back when wealthy people were normal about postwar cars they were not bought as investments either, people bought them because they were good cars. We're not quite at the point where supercar sales genuinely suffer, the ultra wealthy won't diminish in size the way they did even fifty years ago, they are a much more protected class now. Will cars like the 911 Turbo suffer in sales? Yes, but rare exotics won't be losing their market anytime soon.
>>28210784>When Enzo passed the spirit passed with it.The Montezemolo era of road cars is still among Ferrari's best
>>28211164Yes, a lot of my favorites are from that era, but it's hard to deny how special Ferrari was as a company before that. There is a less globalized, less mass market quality to those cars. They may not even be the height of technology for their time and you may not even care about the racing, but there have been very few companies like Ferrari in the 60's and especially the 50's, before or since. They had unique bodies designed specifically for whatever chassis the chosen design house was given, some of them were never copied or repeated onto more than one car, each car was given individual attention and at the same time, was still technically impressive and good to drive as an actual vehicle. You didn't buy a car back then for investment, you bought it for what it was objectively. Objective performance and technical prowess and the emotional aspect of cars still walked hand in hand, something that isn't really true now. Cars are all so similar and homogenized that most of their marketing is really just emotional now, the average person either wants a pure appliance or is fine with being duped by whatever a company says a car is. (The Ford Mustang was so undeniably successful for ford that it basically normalized this behavior, it's just the way it is)Enzo didn't really like the people who could afford his cars, but he loved his company and he loved his men who worked on and designed these cars. I don't really buy that he was detached from his companies road going variants, I would be proud of these machines if I was the one who made the money flip to put them on the road, no matter which beurocrat bought it. We wax poetic too fucking much about Ferrari as enthusiasts, and the prices these things trade for will always feel slimy, but I can understand where people are coming from when they throw around pedantic words like "emotion" and "magic." We will not be getting car companies like that again for a long time, maybe not ever.
>>28209018-presold 80% of the production run before they even start-struggling-selling 80% before launchone of these things is not like the other
>>28212399The C8 has been sold out since before it was initially released. It's almost like people have woken up and realized it's pretty stupid to pay 10x more for a horse badge.
>>28209018>twinturbo v6>this hoodFerrari reinvented a NISSAN Z32
>>28209018Hi, if you bothered to read the (Updated) part you would have realized that all 799 cars are allocated and the person printing the article was just wrong. Yes, the car looks ugly, but I think this design language will evolve into something good. The main shot they have everywhere is really unflattering but it has a pretty cool cyberpunk quality from other angles. Finally yeah its a V6 but everyone forgets to mention that it has three electric motors too. What kind of engines do they use in F1 again? They can't just keep building V12s forever, you guys want the old shit, buy the old shit. I read one of the F80 build orders went as high as $6 million USD.
>>28212043Ferrari haven't been a boutique handcrafted marque since the 60s. Stuff like the Dinos, 412, and Testarossa were explicitly designed for mass production.
>>28209164that shit only counted when these race cars were not hybrids nobody give a fuck about these modern hybrid power trains
>>28214511>F1 againthe globohomo compliance doesnt make it desiring
>>28214511>yeah its a V6 but everyone forgets to mention that it has three electric motors too>yeah it has full-blown AIDS but everyone forgets to mention that it has 3 other homosexually-transmitted STDs too
>>28214511>What kind of engines do they use in F1 again?Gay homo ones because of gay homo rulemakers. Not one I'd want in any car, let alone one costing a gorillion dollars.
