2018 Ford Mustang GT FN with 78,000km on the clock for 49k dollarydoos?
I want a new car but if it is going to replace my v8 ute it must have a v8 and be as easy to work on.
Seems reasonable, An SS Commonwhore or Ford Falcon v8 with double the kilometers on it is 10k+ more dollarydoos.
Are these good cars?
Never paid any attention to Mustangs before now.
>>
>>28209118
That's a ripoff.
>>
>>28209118
>49k
Is that real money or kangaroo kredits?
>>
>>28210551
Kangaroo credits, South Pacific peso, etc. Our faggot currency is worthless and if you halve the figure you'll effectively get what it's worth in real dollars.

I keep most of my (uninvested) savings in USD these days desu.

ooof that's fucking shit, you could buy a brand new Mustang GT and you'd be out the door for $55k just a few years ago

$49k for a 7 year old one with SEVENTY EIGHT THOUSAND kilometres is fuckin terrible, it's actually a ripoff. You should meet the seller just to kick them in the balls.

>dollarydoos
why when you have the supieror 4 door mustang?! for 1/10th of the price
1k ebay turbo kit later and your making 500rwhp stopbeing a fag mate
>>
>>28209118
so ~30k usd and ~48.5k miles. honestly doesnt sound terrible to me. A few years ago i paid 37k usd for a 2016 gt premium with 26k miles
idk what the market is like in Australia but that seems fairly reasonable, are there other V8 options youre considering?
>>
>>28210704
ausfag here again is the used market for mustanges really this fucked now globally?
>>
>>28210661
Alright so my math says that's about $30k in real money.
It's difficult to gauge an Australian model & market against U.S. models & market but that seems equivelant if it's basically a GT with a dingo body kit.
I'd do it.

I’ve got a 2018 GT op and it’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned.
>me and the boys at work stang gangin
>>
>>28210706
idk if fucked is the right word. Theyre just popular and the new ones have gotten fairly expensive
>>
>>28210706
They're not quite that expensive here in the US. There are a ton of them here. You should be able to get a decent GT from that time frame under 50K miles for $25K-$30K US.
>>
>>28210704
oof. Was this peak rona pricing? You definitely overpaid
>>28210706
Prices have always been fucked "globally" because they are only cheap in the US. Looking at prices right now there are tons of late model GT's with around 35-45k miles going for right around $25k.
>>
>>28209118
They are good cars, fairly reliable with a huge aftermarket in the US. The new V8s are excellent. The independent rear suspension makes it a very different car from great-grandma's Mustang and much more competitively sporty. It's still a somewhat heavy car and all of them but especially the base GT will have some vestiges of lumbering muscle car handling.

Performance and handling options matter a fair amount - which does this one have?
>>
>>28211434
>Was this peak rona pricing?
Yeah it was. At least i was able to get rona pricing out of the car i sold to get the mustang. Also that 37k was with all the taxes and fees, how much should it have cost?
>>
>>28211434
>>28211420
dunno why their so sort after i guess their the only na manual v8 coupe left that isnt german overengineered wank
>>
>>28209118
i would get one before a falcon or commodore, because you're paying extra for the name.
not cheap on fuel, though.
>>
>>28209118
>decal on the front bumper
they're very fun, cheap to work on, and highly modifiable
49k AUSD ~= 30k USD, which is expensive for the miles on it, though idk what yalls market is like

I have a 2010, which has a 4.6 instead of the coyote, and it still makes me smile
only way I see myself driving something else is if I start making corvette or porsche money
>>
>>28209118
No point in owning one as Australia is a nanny state shithole, can't even leave first gear without getting your car impounded and license suspended.
>>
>>28209118
>fifty entire thousand didgiridoos for a half worn out car
>is it a good deal?

Have you considered instead buying $20 of rope and hanging yourself from a ten foot rafter?
>>
>>28212827
Bloody good deal mate!
>>
>>28212390
>only na manual v8 coupe left that isnt german overengineered wank
They're pretty highly engineered for an American car.

In 2018+ Mustang, consider the automatic seriously. You couldn't have talked me out of a manual either but I drove a 10-speed automatic rental for a week and was very impressed.
>>
>>28213057
having dailied a 5sp and 6sp manual for years im really not keen on going back to one
if i ever get a nu mustang it would be the 10sp auto and a turbo kit on the v6, have no interest in the ecoshit or v6
>>
>>28214308
I've dailied a manual now for longer than I haven't I think. I might be on my last one, but I really like the s550 Bullitt and it's manual-only.
>>
>>28215346
went back to 5sp 6sp ford autos desu not going back
would love to swap a 10sp in it one day
>>
>>28209118
>spending 49k on a car
yes, it's a fucking bad deal
>>
>>28209118
>>28210731
Why are these monster trucks always so fucking riced out lol
>>
>>28209118
if you find that you want a more "analog" car the pre-2017 models are a go-to physical gagues and less electronics in general, but the post-2017's got more aftermarket support.

stupidly easy to but a supercharger on and give these puppies 700+HP

but for everyday stuff i found the trunk to be pretty decent for daily stuff, there is this odd quirk about the opening though
a beer crate is perfectly easy to lift in, but get off in any dimension by like 20% it wont fit
10-20% wider? wont fit
10-20% taller? wont fit
10-20% wider? wont fit
i swear its specificly made so beercrates fit in
>>
>>28216225
I have to take my driver out to fit my golf bag in the trunk.
>>
>>28209118
Lol
