I’m 27 and about to get out of the military and am starting an MBA program in the fall. I’ve been in Japan for the past couple years and am about to come back to the States and so I am in the market for a car. Initially, I was thinking of buying another WRX because that’s what I drove before I left and loved that car, but my parents seemed to think I should take a step up in terms of luxury. Money isn’t really an issue and I’ve got quite a bit saved up. I’d love to find a manual, but it isn’t a dealbreaker since I know they’re becoming pretty scarce these days. I’d prefer a sedan or coupe. What are some good options?

how many okinawan women did you rape, gonzalez?
>>

are there really okinawan/mexican rape babies out there then?

Too bad yanks drive on the wrong side of the road you could have brought back a 34 or an autech 260 or something.
>>
>>28209239
I wanted to buy an R34 GTR since the ‘99s and ‘00s are now legal in the States, but I got too sidetracked by my job and didn’t have time to get the proper research done. I wasn’t about to drop 6 figures on a car without thoroughly vetting it. Still need a car for back home though. Any suggestions?

unless you're a nepo baby and your parents have some executive position lined up, I think you're in for a rude awakening. Especially as a former boot

Such a fucking flex
Fuel cost will exceed the cost of the car within a year or two, even for an old barge their fuel economy is atrocious
But they're cool and comfy

Can't go wrong with an accord. All the glowies i know drive civics and accords.
Don't buy a Mustang lmao, and don't buy some uberluxury kraut car. I can tell you you're not that rich. Just go for one of the classier normie cars and keep it clean.

If you're still in the MBA program, nobody gives a damn about your car.

Besides, even when you get out, what are you going to do? Sell homes while driving customers around? Or sit behind a desk doing accounting all day?
>>

What, another generic business management trash degree holder? May as well just read forbes opinion pieces on economics and watch some "master class" garbage on managing employee motivation.

You're 27 leaving the military. Your net worth is literally public information.
If enlisted- you've been in the work force making ~24k to >58k over 9 years. Your absolute top net worth is ~$260k depending on promotions
If officer- you've been in 6 years, with increasing pay your promotion pay is much more linear and predictable providing ~$353k

These totals are if you literally spent no money on anything, and is only base pay. A fair assessment being that you either live in barracks with free food, or receive bah and bas.
$260k and $353k is a lot of money for one years pay. but you acquired that over 9 to 6 years. That also assumes you didn't spend any over that time which is impossible- you've a phone, ate out, bought souvenirs and gifts, etc. Unless you made successful private investments your liquid bank account is sub 30k, unless you're some weird Ramsey weirdo and you've ~80k.
Neither of those amounts are impressive. Honestly, even if you had 200k in the bank, I'd just think you're retarded for not investing it in properties as you pcs'd so you could establish passive income streams.

Honestly? I'd go IS300. Classy, refined, manual option out there and plenty capable.

Be prepared to pay though for clean examples.

I mean, you have a rough estimate, sure, but you’re off by quite a bit. I said before that I come from a wealthy family. Until about 6 months ago, I had about a quarter million in cash, excluding my stock holdings. If I was stationed in the U.S., you’re right that I would have invested in a rental property and used my BAH to pay down the mortgage. Since I’m in Japan, that wasn’t an option so I took 150k of that and had my financial advisor put it into an index fund. I’ve been able to save another 20ish since then, and now I’m looking to have a nice vehicle that will last me for the next decade or so that I can be proud to drive. I just want to be able to pay cash for it and then only have to worry about insurance and maintenance. I don’t understand all the hostility from people.

Ngmi. Why buy a car from someone who thinks you're too fucking stupid to check your own oil?
>>
>>28209831
Agreed, you can get these in stick.
Though id shoot for the 340i with a B58 especially if you have the money, you'll be much more pleased with it and it definitely impressed. OR you could say fuck it and go for the F80 M3 if you have the cash, they don't depreciate nearly as much as the non-M models

Is it really any wonder why any normal person hates rich ass spoiled nepo babies.

Anyway to answer your question go to your nearby porsche/benz dealer and buy the most expensive car on the lot.

my dad has amassed a solid amount of wealth over the past decade. i am just a regular office wagie so should i ask him for a small loan of 250,000 to buy a cool car?

I just think he's a silly manchild who validates himself through others. I don't "hate" him despite living more modestly. I feel bad for him and his lack of maturity.

I don't think there's a law against right hand drive cars in the US. people import JDM all the time.
>>

>Is it really any wonder why any normal person hates rich ass spoiled nepo babies.
Yes, it is. I just asked a question looking for others’ input and provided a small amount of information on my background to give people an idea of what I can afford. I haven’t flaunted my wealth nor have I insulted anyone else over theirs. I could be a massive dick about all this, but choose not to be because I’m just like anyone else. I know I didn’t earn most of my wealth, but I don’t apologize for having it. I also don’t apologize for using the resources as my disposal like a “financial nanny” to help me make responsible decisions which I have used to expand upon my wealth instead of squandering it like I’ve seen my relatives do. This is also why I “spew stupid shit like “I'm going to pay for a super expensive car in cash!!’” I’m not literally paying for it with a suitcase full of money, I’m using the money at my disposal to buy a depreciating asset all at once so that I at least immediately have equity in it instead of taking out a loan on said depreciating asset and pissing my money away, again like I’ve seen my relatives do. Be mad at them for throwing away a gift that most could only dream of, but don’t hate me for trying to be responsible.

Yeah but it's a death trap. You can't see if the oncoming lane is clear when you want to overtake, you can't see oncoming traffic at a lot of intersections you're just making everything more dangerous for yourself and other just to dickwave your weird car.
Luckily I can dickwave weird jap cars without being a liability to everyone.

Nigga, you been in the military, are 27 yo, and let your parents influence which car you'll get?
>>
If you want something to last 10 years and be proud to own and a sedan or coupe there's really only 4 brands. Toyota, honda, Acura or best Lexus. BMW has the lowest cost of ownership first 4 years then like all German vehicles hockey sticks up and starts costing lots of money. The American brands have the Mustang and the corvette as far as cool neat cars that will likely last, not have prohibitive long term costs like the Germans do. I don't even have to mention Jags issues as they don't currently sell cars. If it were myself I'd pick whichever of the Lexus vehicles I like the most. They are very professional, long lasting, and something that could hit your 10 year mark with minimal maintenance. The biggest drawback is they aren't quite as much fun as their German rivals but are a big step up from the Toyota counter part. The interiors also tend to not be as nice but still nice. Acura is also good, but, there's a reason they don't sell as many and I think it's just a much edgier brand.

I see no contradiction. Zogbots are literal attack dogs trained to obey with no thought.
