The same intake air temperature sensor has now broken twice within 2 months. What does this mean?

>>28212946U buying chinesium aftermarket parts?Buy OEM
>>28212960I always go up one from the cheapest shit.
>>28212946The turbo is about to free the shit out of the oil pan
>>28212946Either chinesium or your intake temperatures are way out of range or you have an electrical problem.IAT sensors rarely go bad compared to every other sensor. The only thing I can think of that is less likely to go bad is a knock sensor.
>>28213000Digits say it's possible.
>>28212946Could mean that the new one is a piece of shit or that neither are the problem and it's a bad connection/trace somewhere.Probably simplest to throw another one at it and if the problem doesn't repeat then it was just a pos part. If it does repeat soon then you'll need a better-than-average mechanic who doesn't just throw parts at things to find it.

If it goes bad again, I might have to check the loom...
>>28212946chinesium or it's turning into a ground path for something with high current when whatever that is loses its intended ground (probably because it's rotted or loose) which is frying them
>>28213062Wouldn't be surprised after I've seen how Ford route their PDC looms under the bumpers...
>>28213033get the actual OEM one this time, not some bottom dollar amazon special.
>>28213111No. I will opt for the middle of the pack.
