the virgin creeper vs the chad sheet of cardboard
>>
>>28217759
Sometimes the creeper makes you too tall to fit, then I usually just lay on the ground and don't give a fuck
Why would you care about getting a little dirty when working on a car?
>>

>he folded the cardboard to make it thicker
Well look at Mr.fancy pants with his luxury creeper.

>Calls others fancy pants
>Has his own spot to wrench
Don't talk to me unless you have nowhere to wrench but a sunny, sandy, public park. You rich people and your concrete make me sick.

So comfy I can fall asleep under my car during a spring afternoon.

Bold of you to assume I have a paved driveway, I lay in the dirt.

My dad calls those "Mexican creepers"
>>
I have always wanted a creeper since I was young, and I finally saved up for one, and now you're just making me sad.
>>
I have an old comforter I use because why not.
I could have just thrown it away but it's rather nice to have something warm and soft to lay on when I'm changing oil.
>>

the park is perfect for digging a small hole to pour your used oil

I have one but it sits against the wall of my garage unused because a sheet of cardboard is so much better. once it's placed in the right spot for whatever I'm doing, it lets me lay slightly closer to the ground and I can slide on it easier than on the shitty wheels of my creeper. The wheels also get caught on the joints in my garage floor.
the cardboard doubles as a layer of protectant against spills.

Seeing that exact model gives me PTSD, being tall and all corners meant the lack of padding and the arm cutouts being too close to the head cusion, basically needed 3 days of physio to get over the pain of using that thing for 1 day.
Got a much nicer flat padded one but it's still too high, usually end up laying on an old bathroom mat or straight on the concrete which is worse for all my corners.

I just replaced the front fuel pump in my 97 F-350 laying on my gravel driveway rawdogging it. Didnt even drop the tank. Builds character

I prefer wrenching in gravel over dirt.

I changed the fuel pump in my turd gen Camaro. Didn't drop the tank either.

I've done a fuel pump in one of my XJs with a angle grinder, just lifted the carpet and cut a square out above the pump, a patch of sheet metal and some RTV to glue it down and lay the carpet back over it
good to go
>>
>>28217759
i just lay on the concrete

To be serious, I just bought one very much like pictured at Harbor Freight when they were on sale for $20 and so far I like it better than cardboard. I guess I'm getting old
