Extreme ugly bike, I fucking hate windscreens without fairings or any continuous lines. Retch inducing style, even worse on those harleys.

Just looks like a KTM copycat with the dual knives in the front, except less aggressive overall. Guess a copycat still looks better than the usual host of nake bikes made by prius owners.

Mt-07 is confused as to what it wants to look like, it has a nice flowing top section with clean plastics even around the radiator, and then a raw open naked bottom. The ultimate deal sealer is the round bubble front headlight, utter contrasting with the sharp open raw bottom end of the bike.

Mt-07 like most factory naked looks like a safe de-fanged bike that is trying its hardest not to be naked.

A naked bike should look NAKED, the whole point is to show off the skeletal frame, the rumbling engine, the only plastics should be sharp, angular, and preferably as little as possible.

Notice that KTM make the frame incredibly visible, and the frame itself is made of barebone circular tubing with no flat paneling, even intentionally highlighting it with their orange coloring. The plastics are sharp and pointed diagonally, which in art is always used as a dynamic gesture of speed.

I think the back seat could still have more plastic removed and I prefer the 2025 headlights, but for a brand name attempt at a naked, KTM is best.
>>
>>28610726
KTM is best plus extra $3000 to unlock the rest of its features.

Maybe one day a company will design a real naked bike, but I doubt it.

Honestly its probably the best move Harley could ever make, get them to pay one of the nips to make a proper screaming 14k+ rpm supersport engine, and then model it after this.

okay WRENCHBROS

can anyone explain to me why most single-swing bikes have the exhaust on the same side that your wheel is supposed to come off?
on a bike like the superduke, if you need to replace the tyre, you have to take your exhaust apart (unless you have a small enough one)
The BMW F800GT has enough clearance that its not an issue, but the other bikes in my incredible collage seem to have the issue that the exhaust will probably need to come off

I did see one bike before (i think posted a couple threads back) where the exhaust was on the left, and the mechanism on the right, with the bolts on the right, but that seems to be the exception, rather than the rule, with single swing?
is it mechanic oversight? are engineers retarded? or is there an actual reason behind it?
whats the deal

Windscreens without fairings are the worst thing to have been created. If you are talking about the version without, then its just a mid looking bike that exists between a nip cruiser and a naked. The only bonus points it gets is for being more naked than most bikes.

its to keep the center of mass as close to the middle of the bike as possible. i want to say the exhaust on mine is less than an inch from the tire.

>on a bike like the superduke, if you need to replace the tyre, you have to take your exhaust apart
its a single bolt to remove the can from the exhaust system and a single bolt to remove the wheel from the drive shaft. lining up the holes for the caliper mount and wheel for the axel on a traditional double side swim arm is way more effort unless you have a quick change system for endurance racing.

Honda Super Cub or Trail Cub and I am serious

>Can easily weave on and off sidewalks as it's basically a moped
>Keeps up with intercity traffic, so just don't hit the highway
>Semi-auto clutch means you can hold a phone in one hand, drive with the other
This is, in fact, what the Super Cub was designed to do, let Ramen delivery drivers hold a steaming-hot bowl with one hand while driving with the other and this was a stated purpose of the machine.

I think you are wrong. The biker is obviously speeding, and anons ITT have calculated this based in visual clues. The driver making the U-turn had no reason to expect someone going that fast, and if the driver saw the bike it would have been easily far enough away to assume the U-turn was safe. The driver operated in a reasonable way, the biker did not. Biker 100% responsible.

>>
>>28611142
Yeah I do feel you there. I bought mine so I could git gud doing actual adventure shit without having to pick up a fatass bike. Problem is getting it to the fun places though.

>>28611145
It's not too horrible in my area, the KLX is fast enough to go most places, but it's just really fatiguing to ride long-distance on the highway and very limited when it comes to luggage. It really can't handle much on the back before it gets sketchy to ride. I was less careful packing my pretty minimal camping setup when I left this morning (plus I had the extra weight of a second jacket and pants on the back) and didn't get the balance right and the bike felt like absolute shit to ride, wanted to pull slightly left and countering that for 40 minutes absolutely kicked my ass. Fortunately it was on slowish low-traffic roads but I would've had to stop and repack the whole setup if I was gonna go on a real highway. That was with only like 35-40lbs (15ish kg?) of stuff on the bike too.
The lack of wind protection, the thumper vibration, and small gas tank don't help either.
>>
>>28611154
Oh my god that really does suck anon.

Packing a bike with luggage is a skill that you get better at. But I have to admit dual sports are the hardest and the least forgiving if you pack it wrong.

The wind you can get used to it. I can get about 7-8 hours of riding before the wind starts wearing down my soul.
If you like your bike can upgrade it with a bigger tank and there are sprocket combos which can almost eliminate the vibes. But, it looks like you will be heading down the adv route soon.

If you have Uralism, grab an old sidevalve to start with an old sidevalve.
They're dog shit slow, like 60kmh top speed without twisting the crankshaft slow, they're heavy and kinda awkward to ride, but parts availability is top tier even to this day. Even if you have an old M72, you can still keep it running with brand new parts, albeit 99% of those are chink parts, they're at least as good as old Soviet stock.
Reason being the original Chang Jiang bikes are just M72 clones made with Soviet tooling, so it's like the broom handle Mauser of the bike world, the chinks absolutely love those bikes.

Kinda surprised it's that slow without a sidecar. My 2 wheel bike is an XS400, I can get it up to about 65mph and thats fast enough for me.

You used to be able to get a CJ750 for about $5000 shipped in a giant crate. Unfortunately in the states it is very hard to any of these bikes apart from a modern ural. I have seen a couple dneprs, but they did not have a title or any import paperwork so I would be unable to get a title for them.

The old sidevalves had like 20hp.
OHV Dneprs are a whole other can of worms too. They resemble Urals, but mechanically share almost nothing.
The crank and conrods are on plain bearings for example like on a car in a Dnepr.
Sidevalve CJ were identical to Urals for a time, but they later on started to throw in their own mix on them, dropping the camshaft driven generators/alternators for a BMW/Moto Guzzi styled alternator in the end of the crankshaft.

I got the bike back together first on the road by nigrigging it, then doing it properly.

Honestly I'm not too fond of the bike at all, I should've bought a modern engine for my Ural instead of this heap of shit.

Biker 100%. You need to realize that cagers are practically in a comatose along with the other law abiding cuckolds, their reality is based around the expectation that you are also following the rules and being a slowfag. He looks down the lane judging the distance between you and himself, and under "normal" circumstances he knows he can make that turn without worry. He does not think "what if hes going faster than normal", he doesn't even really think at all, he is on complete and utter autopilot.

This isn't even to blame cagers for being this way, what else can you do in a daily montonous drive around in your point-a-to-b cuck cage doing the speed limit? The sleep inducing repetition of regular driving along with the utter lack of challenge or threat leads cannot be avoided by anyone who has any semblance of intelligence.

So with that said, as a biker who is speeding and pushing himself jacked up with adrenline and in complete awareness due to the challenges of riding, it is on YOU to judge any and all threats, it is YOUR duty to know if you can or cannot serve should a random cager just pull out of nowhere. The onus is always on yourself, all the faggots who get upset when cagers pull into their lanes are wrong, the only factor that matters is yourself.

Beeping is pointless, rev bombing even worse, road rage is for incompetents. Anticipate and either swerve, brake, or accelerate - find your own way through the madness, lest ye be swallow by the cager abyss.

Not to mention from this video you can see that the Biker sped up to beat the Yellow Light. Not a small speed-up either, he blasted wrung-out past that semi. Which is a big no-no even if you were driving a cagie.
>>
>>28611558
NTA #1 rule of the road is to behave in a predictable manner, this is true for everybody. Comatose cagies can remain comatose and never bother you as long as their lizard brains think they know what you're going to do.

Problem with most of the vids you see is that the biker is breaking some rule of driving already or not behaving predictably. The chinese squid in that video accelerates as he approaches a changing light to beat it and easily out-paces every car around him, which the u-turning vehicle did not see coming, and he had good reason to: Every car around him stopped. If this >>28610999 math is right, then he passed them going close to 80mph through that stop light. Which is pretty crazy for a city intersection.

It was a learning curve, for sure. I popped the front wheel off the ground the first time I shifted from second to third, throttle is super sensitive and I rolled on way too hard. It's actually a lot easier to ride than the NC was, it feels better balanced and responds immediately and decisively to any steering input. Stops much faster as well. I am having a blast riding it, the intake howls and the exhaust snarls and pops. Power delivery is smooth and it always feels like it has plenty more to give. This bike is how I imagined motorcycles would be when I was a kid.

Nah, the main issue in that webm is that the biker thinks the cager isn't going to turn into him and doesn't adjust, or straight up doesn't notice him at all. Look at the Biker from the time the cager stops to their collision, biker doesn't even manage to change half a lane, which at 80mph is easy to do, hell, you could do a full lane at 160mph in that time frame.

You can't be slacking off like that if you are squidding, you have to take everything threat as life or death, because it is. People get comfy and then die like this, probably same thing that got Gixxerbrah, thought the cager wouldn't be a cager, paid the cager toll.

Sorry breh, but you were asking to get locked up, police are not your friend, they will cherish the memory of having sent you to jail doing having fun on a motorcycle. I always tell people to pick a side, either you are doing the speed limit, or you are full outlaw, halfwaying it is just going to land you in jail, or without a bike for a loooooong time.

Not that I mean to beat up on ya while you're down, shit sucks man, I'm sure you already have the regret hitting you hard atm without me saying anything. Just next time, either you obey the law, or you go all out - as in you might as well run no plate. Hayabusa might go into the club of bikes where fairings actually look good like the R6, mostly because its so phat (even the tail) that it feels very smooth and cohesive from front to back. Yeah. I really think they made a big mistake in bloating the weight so much. Now it's roughly as heavy as a Transalp or Tenere. Yeah, there's a 3.7gal IMS tank or something like that, but it's a $500 upgrade, makes it impossible to use a tank bag, and extra the fuel would be another 15-ish lbs high up on the bike.

I will say that my luggage setup is part of the problem, the Giant Loop design works well but it's tricky to pack. Adding an extra duffel or something would help a lot and so would getting a smaller sleeping bag.

I'm definitely gonna end up moving to an ADV though, but I'm hoping to keep it a relatively small light one, really interested to see what the upcoming Kawi with the Ninja 500 engine is like because that could be the goldilocks bike. I think the dream would be a sub-400lb 45ish hp twin with 4-5 gal of gas, basically the Ibex 450 but not Chinese, and the Kawi looks like it might be it, plus staying Kawi would be nice since I could keep all my Kawi merch lol.

Didn't necessarily mean to snarpen the nose, more so to move fairings forward, which would give a more missile-like feeling, while also balancing it with the longer tail length that extends past the rear tire. See incredibly detailed and precise ms paint drawing.

He was doing it in a 50mph zone so I can see why the cops were a little upset. On the other hand foreigners sign some of their highways far too slow, like Canada Route 1 on Vancouver Island is all 80km/h in places even Massachusetts would have signed it 55mph and saner states would have signed it 60 or 65.

thanks for the feedback still
this is the mileage i saw so far

>"vendo honda" at €1750 , ~$2050
13600km, ~8500 miles

41230km, ~25600 miles

no mileage listed in the advert or pictures

what are some basics to look out for when buying used motorbikes?

They don't make one. Aftermarket support for the KLX300 kinda sucks, IMS is the only tank option and you run into similar issues with a lot of parts.

Lower mileage is better, check the model year, here, newer is better. Ask them if they have been in any accidents, you can also contact their insurance company tell the registration number and find out. If they have extensive

One easy trick that I do it, take the bike along with the owner to a Honda showroom and tell them to do a general checkup and tell them you want to buy it and he'll do a quick check and tell if anything is wrong.

If not doing this, consider the following:
- Check the tyre year, see if the tyre has any issues
- Check if the forks are leaking
- Check if the chain has been maintained well
- See which panels, levers or handlebars are cracked or broken
- ask when the battery was changed last
- do a cold start, see if it starts fine the first time in the day.
- See if it produces any white smoke (this is bad)

some or all of these are fine, just use this to negotiate.

>>28611811
They will work fine, unless you want to go on the highway. Max speed for these will be around 100kph.

Go with a newer model year. For the first bike, you want a newer model year with low mileage. Spend time riding instead of fixing it, however simple of a fix it might be. You don't want to be messing with carbs or some shit.

>take the bike along with the owner to a Honda showroom and tell them to do a general checkup and tell them you want to buy it and he'll do a quick check and tell if anything is wrong.
This sounds brilliant, how much doi they charge for the checkup?
>If not doing this, consider the following:
>- Check the tyre year, see if the tyre has any issues

>- do a cold start, see if it starts fine the first time in the day.

which of these are worth fixing? for example changing tyres, replacing the battery, etc
Also do you have a video on how to do these? idk about forks or how to check the chain

ah i was gonna post the ryan video myself.

also nothing stopping you from taking the bike for a quick checkup at a mechanic or bringing along a friend that knows more than you. as the other anon said a little fall that only gave some scratches, tires that are a bit older or an old battery is not a big deal (but you should def use them to negotiate the price down) if it's something like forks leaking or the bike giving some weird sounds when cold-starting or even after a couple of minutes it might be wise to look for something else, it's not like you don't have options available since you are just looking at your first bike

Dunno if you are looking for boots too, but their boots are decent, calf and ankles are made for fatties though, wouldn't recommend for you after seeing ur pretty legs. Even I have to use a tongue cushion to fill the space at the ankle crease.

>You should ride the fun highways more
I only ride highways really late at night from 1am-4am when there aren't seven hundred cops per square inch, they set up like 5+ speed traps along each highway around the city once its warm out. I also don't like traffic because they fuck up my flow state when I have to slow down for them on tight blind twisties. Only downside is that the roads are cold then, so you have to be a touch more careful. Also there are sections without lights, which is fine for me, but some people find it scary or whatever.

Plus, night time lets me take my bike and park on the lawn of rich cunt boating clubs to snap a pic past all the "DO NOT ENTER, THIS IS A VIOLATION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY" signs kek.

Not quite. The Jazz had an online 4, the NC is a parallel 2. The same team developed both engines, with similar goals (longevity, fuel economy), and they do have similar stroke and displacement per cylinder. The NC engine is sort of like half a Jazz engine, but modified to run on its own.

Helmets don't expire. The entire idea that they do came from a specific study performed by and for the California Highway Patrol regarding motorcycle officer safety. They found that officers with newer helmets had fewer traumatic head injuries, and picked 5 years as an arbitrary expiration date for helmets. The problem is, most motorcycle riders aren't working 5x 12 hour shifts in all weather conditions while wearing their helmets, so the amount of wear/degradation the police helmets were getting is likely not representative of the condition of a helmet belonging to an enthusiast rider. Materials do degrade with exposure to UV, rain, road salt, etc... but as long as the helmet fits properly has all its components undamaged and intact, it is fine to wear.

They do here too, except the goal of the police isn't to stop crime, its to keep the cattle (you, me, and everyone else not worth 9+ figures) in line for their financial masters. Tormenting the cattle by constantly prodding them with the hot iron anytime they act like they have free will is their full time job.

70 speed traps set up around every highway? Check.
Two hours to respond to someone breaking into your home? (You aren't worth 9 figures) Check.
Total inability to solve murder cases despite having 5 CCT cameras on every corner to make sure they catch your license plate for doing 15km over the limit or go past a red light when no one is there? Check.
Doing nothing while rioters burn down your city? Check.
Immediately shitstomping any people at protests about goverment tyranny such as the yellow jackets or covid protests? Check.

The police are literally your enemy, never forget that, they want to harm you, and they think its funny when they do.

Why I say to a lot of people that organised gangs used to do more policing than the police.
>Someone fucks up your fence.
3 guys get out a Mercedes. Tase and beat the individual to tears and leave without a word.
>"Local" individuals who the police can't touch without 6 million articles about how racist they are being put out. Thinking they own the place and causing trouble.
They get kidnapped one after another and get left in a forest.

The old gangs retired or left for greener pastures and my home town became a shithole afterwards.

>its about the license.
Ok, but if you planning on running from the police on your next bike... why are you worried about your loicense? You do know that running from the police is 100x worse than riding around without a loicense, right? And you do know that if you caught doing over double the limit with or without a loicense, they are probably going to perma-ban you from riding ever again anyways, right?

Yeah its been pretty clear to me that the police are just guard dogs for the rich after we watched someone breaking into a neighbor's house, and waited literal hours before police showed up, when they did it come it was some generic questions, a quick house tour, and then fucked off without a care in the world. Left unsolved, probably didn't even bother looking around the neighborhood for the guy.

Crazy how there is a whole "we love our boys in blue" movement, as if these same "boys in blue" aren't the first ones to beat your brains in and pepperspray you the second you protest your government, LMAO!

How many motorcycles is too many motorcycles.

I want a third one. Am I retarded or genius? They'll all be riden not storage queens.

Depends, like owning a Sumo, supersport, and a dirtbike? Logical and fine.
Owning 3+ different supersports like some influencers do? Retarded, maybe an argument for having a straight liner like a busa and a twisty/track bike like an R6, but thats it.

I got to ride with a random R1 on my way to work this morning. We pulled onto the highway at the same time. I'd never own a cross plane because of the issues but holy fuck did that though sound other worldly when he opened it up.

I have a gixxer and a dyna, considering also getting a GS or Tiger
I find that completely reasonable, because they all serve their niches

Modern police are just protection rackets of their own, and the old gangsters retired because they can't compete with the biggest protection racket of them all: The Government.
