Ktm
>>28610661i like dukes but i gotta disagree on the MT take. mts are cool and look nice too
>>28610668>B-kingYeah, talk about the ugliest fucking naked anyone has ever created. Truly among the ugliest of bikes in general. >SV650Extreme ugly bike, I fucking hate windscreens without fairings or any continuous lines. Retch inducing style, even worse on those harleys. >GSX8S Just looks like a KTM copycat with the dual knives in the front, except less aggressive overall. Guess a copycat still looks better than the usual host of nake bikes made by prius owners. >KatanaDoes look bretty nice in that matte blue coloring they have.
>>28610690Mt-07 is confused as to what it wants to look like, it has a nice flowing top section with clean plastics even around the radiator, and then a raw open naked bottom. The ultimate deal sealer is the round bubble front headlight, utter contrasting with the sharp open raw bottom end of the bike.Mt-07 like most factory naked looks like a safe de-fanged bike that is trying its hardest not to be naked.
>>28610690>mts are cool and look nice tooI agree. I love the way the new 1390 SDR looks, and I also like the way the MT10 looks.
>>28610706fat
>>28610699>saree guard>times of indiabrown hands is the one with the worst fucking taste in the world, im not shocked
A naked bike should look NAKED, the whole point is to show off the skeletal frame, the rumbling engine, the only plastics should be sharp, angular, and preferably as little as possible. Notice that KTM make the frame incredibly visible, and the frame itself is made of barebone circular tubing with no flat paneling, even intentionally highlighting it with their orange coloring. The plastics are sharp and pointed diagonally, which in art is always used as a dynamic gesture of speed. I think the back seat could still have more plastic removed and I prefer the 2025 headlights, but for a brand name attempt at a naked, KTM is best.
>>28610726KTM is best plus extra $3000 to unlock the rest of its features.
Maybe one day a company will design a real naked bike, but I doubt it.Honestly its probably the best move Harley could ever make, get them to pay one of the nips to make a proper screaming 14k+ rpm supersport engine, and then model it after this. >>28610735>pay $3000 for rider aids you turn off so you can whoolie properlyMaybe 4u.
>>28610703the sneed triple gets the ugliest headlight award imo
/adventure/
>>28610665thats my pointnew stuff is shitand the good stuff is hard to come by, because its not new stuffalthough, in the coming 5-15 years, there will be a die off and sell off from boomers, so some of the older bikes will reenter the market
>>28610739It really is embarrassing that people actively get paid to make bikes look like that. Pic related is the same bike, except actually naked (and a cafe style seat for whatever reason).
okay WRENCHBROScan anyone explain to me why most single-swing bikes have the exhaust on the same side that your wheel is supposed to come off?on a bike like the superduke, if you need to replace the tyre, you have to take your exhaust apart (unless you have a small enough one)The BMW F800GT has enough clearance that its not an issue, but the other bikes in my incredible collage seem to have the issue that the exhaust will probably need to come offI did see one bike before (i think posted a couple threads back) where the exhaust was on the left, and the mechanism on the right, with the bolts on the right, but that seems to be the exception, rather than the rule, with single swing?is it mechanic oversight? are engineers retarded? or is there an actual reason behind it?whats the deal
>>28610699>>SV650>Extreme ugly bikeOpinion discarded
>>28610752Single-swing arms are thick and stick out further.
>>28610748now that looks like a proper triumph
>>28610756thats not true and doesnt answer my question
>>28610753Windscreens without fairings are the worst thing to have been created. If you are talking about the version without, then its just a mid looking bike that exists between a nip cruiser and a naked. The only bonus points it gets is for being more naked than most bikes.
>>28610673>"DESTINATION: NIGHT CITY!!", edition!Sweet. Wish I could go ripping through the desert for real like in CP2077.
Hey, I want a bike shitbox. I have the number of someone who is selling a 14K mile KLR near me for about 3 grand. Should I go for it? 3 grand feels a bit steep but it's a KLR gen 2. I'm sure nothing is wrong with it.

>>28610752its to keep the center of mass as close to the middle of the bike as possible. i want to say the exhaust on mine is less than an inch from the tire.>on a bike like the superduke, if you need to replace the tyre, you have to take your exhaust apartits a single bolt to remove the can from the exhaust system and a single bolt to remove the wheel from the drive shaft. lining up the holes for the caliper mount and wheel for the axel on a traditional double side swim arm is way more effort unless you have a quick change system for endurance racing.
>>28610673I finally traded in my trusty NC700X and picked up a 2022 Z900RS yesterday. It was nearly 4 hours away, and it poured rain about half way into the trip there and all the way back. >>28611003 Even if uturns are allowed in that turn lane, incoming traffic still has right of way priority. Biker does seem to be speeding but ultimately the fault goes on the uturner but not fully, somewhere like 75/25 or 70/30 fault split
>>28610999>the semi, which we can presume was going about the speed limitAll semis are either doing 20 below or 10 above.
Hey /o/ how does my tire look
>>28610995>>28610999In 19 video frames he covers 4 and a bit lane stripes, which are 27 feet apart t. some random similar road I measured in Beijing. That comes to somewhere around 120mph.
>>28611038Tired. Also what bike is that? I think I'm seeing a final drive, but not an Ural one
>>28611056It is indeed a Ural. This is the original Russian tire that had been on the spare. I probably put 6000km on it, it went from having tread to bald in the last month or two.
Gratuitous KLX pretending to be an ADV shot.
>>2861106710 minutes later, soaked to the bone in my mesh gear (which I just got at the campout) while my rain stuff was strapped to the back of the bike and I really didn't want to have to un-rig it so I just hid in a gas station until the storm passed.
>>28611025I think you are wrong. The biker is obviously speeding, and anons ITT have calculated this based in visual clues. The driver making the U-turn had no reason to expect someone going that fast, and if the driver saw the bike it would have been easily far enough away to assume the U-turn was safe. The driver operated in a reasonable way, the biker did not. Biker 100% responsible.
>>28610922Oh shit lol, entering SD as soon as I leave. If you come in on two wheels try and sneak in a ride through 78 or 94(to campo rd). Make sure you ride/drive Highway 75 Silver Strand before you leave, absolutely gorgeous ride.
>>28611067what is an ADV other than a fat dual sport
>>28611102Only half of them. The other half are sport tourers with big wheels and knobbies. Either way they're capable of more than the about 50mi radius the KLX has before life becomes pure suck with luggage on the back though.

>>28611123Yeah>>28611127Thanks man. I love my ural.I rotated the tires a few times, the old Russian tire got left on the pusher and i rode it til it wore out. >>28611131>What do you mean pretending? it is an adv.kinda, really not suitable for the touring side of it though. You've got me wanting to take my real camera out and do some bike kino, I used to do car photography for a living but that was a longass time ago and I'm scared to take thousands of dollars worth of fragile gear on a bike, I guess I should get a Pelican case or something for it.
>>28611132You probably get the love for Urals then Oce you ride an Ural, there's no coming back. Everything just feels lifeless after experiencing an Ural.
>>28611067As an ADV rider, if I ever went on an actual "adventure" I'd bring a dual sport. The idea of dying alone in the woods because my fatass bike got bogged in a puddle doesn't sound very appealing to me.
>>28611135Sucks touring in America. Not saying anything mean, just feels like you get a big bike or you get off the road.I take my photos on my shitty Nokia phone camera and just use the in built editor to adjust some stuff.
>>28611137I would love a vintage ural/dnepr without a sidecar or BMW
>>28611142Yeah I do feel you there. I bought mine so I could git gud doing actual adventure shit without having to pick up a fatass bike. Problem is getting it to the fun places though. >>28611145It's not too horrible in my area, the KLX is fast enough to go most places, but it's just really fatiguing to ride long-distance on the highway and very limited when it comes to luggage. It really can't handle much on the back before it gets sketchy to ride. I was less careful packing my pretty minimal camping setup when I left this morning (plus I had the extra weight of a second jacket and pants on the back) and didn't get the balance right and the bike felt like absolute shit to ride, wanted to pull slightly left and countering that for 40 minutes absolutely kicked my ass. Fortunately it was on slowish low-traffic roads but I would've had to stop and repack the whole setup if I was gonna go on a real highway. That was with only like 35-40lbs (15ish kg?) of stuff on the bike too. The lack of wind protection, the thumper vibration, and small gas tank don't help either.
>>28611154Oh my god that really does suck anon.Packing a bike with luggage is a skill that you get better at. But I have to admit dual sports are the hardest and the least forgiving if you pack it wrong. The wind you can get used to it. I can get about 7-8 hours of riding before the wind starts wearing down my soul.If you like your bike can upgrade it with a bigger tank and there are sprocket combos which can almost eliminate the vibes. But, it looks like you will be heading down the adv route soon.
>>28611148If you have Uralism, grab an old sidevalve to start with an old sidevalve. They're dog shit slow, like 60kmh top speed without twisting the crankshaft slow, they're heavy and kinda awkward to ride, but parts availability is top tier even to this day. Even if you have an old M72, you can still keep it running with brand new parts, albeit 99% of those are chink parts, they're at least as good as old Soviet stock.Reason being the original Chang Jiang bikes are just M72 clones made with Soviet tooling, so it's like the broom handle Mauser of the bike world, the chinks absolutely love those bikes.
>>28611166>60kmh top speedYou have to be brain damaged to buy it over a YBR125 if you want simplicity
>>28611168You don't buy a 70 year old bike for simplicity, high speeds or whatever simplistic reason like that.
>>28611166Kinda surprised it's that slow without a sidecar. My 2 wheel bike is an XS400, I can get it up to about 65mph and thats fast enough for me.You used to be able to get a CJ750 for about $5000 shipped in a giant crate. Unfortunately in the states it is very hard to any of these bikes apart from a modern ural. I have seen a couple dneprs, but they did not have a title or any import paperwork so I would be unable to get a title for them.
Where the fuck are all you faggots? I just went for my usual Sunday Night Ride and I encountered no one on the road. They resemble Urals, but mechanically share almost nothing. The crank and conrods are on plain bearings for example like on a car in a Dnepr.Sidevalve CJ were identical to Urals for a time, but they later on started to throw in their own mix on them, dropping the camshaft driven generators/alternators for a BMW/Moto Guzzi styled alternator in the end of the crankshaft.

You need to realize that cagers are practically in a comatose along with the other law abiding cuckolds, their reality is based around the expectation that you are also following the rules and being a slowfag. He looks down the lane judging the distance between you and himself, and under "normal" circumstances he knows he can make that turn without worry. He does not think "what if hes going faster than normal", he doesn't even really think at all, he is on complete and utter autopilot. This isn't even to blame cagers for being this way, what else can you do in a daily montonous drive around in your point-a-to-b cuck cage doing the speed limit? The sleep inducing repetition of regular driving along with the utter lack of challenge or threat leads cannot be avoided by anyone who has any semblance of intelligence. So with that said, as a biker who is speeding and pushing himself jacked up with adrenline and in complete awareness due to the challenges of riding, it is on YOU to judge any and all threats, it is YOUR duty to know if you can or cannot serve should a random cager just pull out of nowhere. The onus is always on yourself, all the faggots who get upset when cagers pull into their lanes are wrong, the only factor that matters is yourself.Beeping is pointless, rev bombing even worse, road rage is for incompetents. Anticipate and either swerve, brake, or accelerate - find your own way through the madness, lest ye be swallow by the cager abyss.

>>28611455>>28611431Not to mention from this video you can see that the Biker sped up to beat the Yellow Light. Not a small speed-up either, he blasted wrung-out past that semi. Which is a big no-no even if you were driving a cagie.
>>28611558NTA #1 rule of the road is to behave in a predictable manner, this is true for everybody. Comatose cagies can remain comatose and never bother you as long as their lizard brains think they know what you're going to do. Problem with most of the vids you see is that the biker is breaking some rule of driving already or not behaving predictably. The chinese squid in that video accelerates as he approaches a changing light to beat it and easily out-paces every car around him, which the u-turning vehicle did not see coming, and he had good reason to: Every car around him stopped. If this >>28610999 math is right, then he passed them going close to 80mph through that stop light. Which is pretty crazy for a city intersection.
i got caught doing 176kmh in an 80i lost my license for 33 months and will be serving 40 days of jail time (probably ankle monitor like last time) the cbr is listed for saleplan is to start building a demonic 600 or onethou once i get closer to getting my license backfuck norwayi’ll see you in a while bros :(
>>28610941It was a learning curve, for sure. I popped the front wheel off the ground the first time I shifted from second to third, throttle is super sensitive and I rolled on way too hard. It's actually a lot easier to ride than the NC was, it feels better balanced and responds immediately and decisively to any steering input. Stops much faster as well. I am having a blast riding it, the intake howls and the exhaust snarls and pops. Power delivery is smooth and it always feels like it has plenty more to give. This bike is how I imagined motorcycles would be when I was a kid.
>>28611568Yeesh, pouring one out for you homie…
>>28611565Nah, the main issue in that webm is that the biker thinks the cager isn't going to turn into him and doesn't adjust, or straight up doesn't notice him at all. Look at the Biker from the time the cager stops to their collision, biker doesn't even manage to change half a lane, which at 80mph is easy to do, hell, you could do a full lane at 160mph in that time frame. You can't be slacking off like that if you are squidding, you have to take everything threat as life or death, because it is. People get comfy and then die like this, probably same thing that got Gixxerbrah, thought the cager wouldn't be a cager, paid the cager toll. >>28611568Normalniggers lock up another man for living his live according to his own rules. hey guys, eurofag heremost of my friends suddenly decided to get motorbikes after one biker convinced others to do soaccording to the law in my country, adriving license allows you to get a motorbike up to 125CC and like 15 bhpwhats a decent 125cc motorbike i could find for a good price online thats beginner friendly? ive never rode in a motorbike but i rode in bycicles a lot throughout my preteens and teens
>>28611603Moskva/Minsk M1
>>28611607this brand literally doesnt exist on the second hand sites in my countryim from western europe, i want something reliabledont have the know how to maintain a vintage motorbike and id be afraid to ruin it
>>28611603Damn, if it was just 125cc I would have said get a two stroke since they are technically 2x the cc as a four, sucks that the limit is 15hp. 125 is more like a scooter tbqh, I guess you can buy one of the larp bikes like the yamaha r125. It will just barely make highway speed.
>>28611610>im from western europeDKW RT125. Electrics aside they're ridiculously simple bikes and mechanically reliable due to their lack of anything.

>>28611615>doing 180+ with no way to hide plate or running a fake plate>doing 180+ with stock fender license holder, not even tuckedSorry breh, but you were asking to get locked up, police are not your friend, they will cherish the memory of having sent you to jail doing having fun on a motorcycle. I always tell people to pick a side, either you are doing the speed limit, or you are full outlaw, halfwaying it is just going to land you in jail, or without a bike for a loooooong time. Not that I mean to beat up on ya while you're down, shit sucks man, I'm sure you already have the regret hitting you hard atm without me saying anything. Just next time, either you obey the law, or you go all out - as in you might as well run no plate. The police aren't going to go easy on you regardless, they are your enemy and they only exist to jerk off over your suffering, or to protect the property of millionaires/billionaires.
>>28611603Anything Honda, I'd suggest a Honda 125, maybe a grom.
>>28611615>>28611626Also in regards to your 33 month ban, I highly suggest just riding without a license when you come back, with your record they are going to lock you up again instantly the next time you get caught, with or without a license. Allegedly in minecraft AI metareality a friend of my brother's sister's cousin half removed did that twice in GTA 6 when he lost his license while speeding in VRchat.
>>28611615Couldn't you just run and go "sorry pigger, no idea who was riding my bike last night, now fuck off from my lawn" when they come knocking?
>>28611643If you ride with your phone on (everyone does), then they just get the GPS data of your phone and you go to jail. The reddit lawyer shit doesn't work in real life.

>>28611651Each country will differ in their laws, but the "CSI phone bullshit" literally happens all the time, half the jewtube influencers you see that get locked up and disappear have it happen to them, even Gixxerbrah, who was only able to be jailed because of his GPS. All depends on how much they want to get you.
>>28611659Yeah maybe in the US, the cops here barely have working computers, which is odd because those would greatly aid their money grubbing schemes

>>28611218Ride more and your hands will get bigger. A month long tour sent me from a Medium to an XL in Sedici sizing.
>>28611514Hayabusa might go into the club of bikes where fairings actually look good like the R6, mostly because its so phat (even the tail) that it feels very smooth and cohesive from front to back. I wonder if having the front fairings/windshield extended further forward wouldn't help balance it out more though, I think it would help elevate the rocket missile feeling of the design.
>>28611630sounds good, do any of these seem decent? ignore the gokart
>Nearly finish project scoot>Too scared of a catastrophic failure to take it out for real world testingIt happens to everyone, right? What's the worst that happened to you?
>>28611419Yeah. I really think they made a big mistake in bloating the weight so much. Now it's roughly as heavy as a Transalp or Tenere. Losing a bit of weight would give the bike more of a niche, instead of being 'Tenere for poorfags'. Even if they kept it roughly around gen 2 weight, at least it would be SOMETHING.
>>28611673How much longer do you have to walk around free shitposting here anyways? 40 days will fly by at least, not too much time, maybe good boy behavior might get you out early too...
>>28611165Yeah, there's a 3.7gal IMS tank or something like that, but it's a $500 upgrade, makes it impossible to use a tank bag, and extra the fuel would be another 15-ish lbs high up on the bike. I will say that my luggage setup is part of the problem, the Giant Loop design works well but it's tricky to pack. Adding an extra duffel or something would help a lot and so would getting a smaller sleeping bag. I'm definitely gonna end up moving to an ADV though, but I'm hoping to keep it a relatively small light one, really interested to see what the upcoming Kawi with the Ninja 500 engine is like because that could be the goldilocks bike. I think the dream would be a sub-400lb 45ish hp twin with 4-5 gal of gas, basically the Ibex 450 but not Chinese, and the Kawi looks like it might be it, plus staying Kawi would be nice since I could keep all my Kawi merch lol.

>>28611980Helmets don't expire. The entire idea that they do came from a specific study performed by and for the California Highway Patrol regarding motorcycle officer safety. They found that officers with newer helmets had fewer traumatic head injuries, and picked 5 years as an arbitrary expiration date for helmets. The problem is, most motorcycle riders aren't working 5x 12 hour shifts in all weather conditions while wearing their helmets, so the amount of wear/degradation the police helmets were getting is likely not representative of the condition of a helmet belonging to an enthusiast rider. Materials do degrade with exposure to UV, rain, road salt, etc... but as long as the helmet fits properly has all its components undamaged and intact, it is fine to wear.

Normalniggers are not your fellow human. >>28612164Here they impound your vehicle and then charge you $200+ every day they keep it locked up, so they hand you a $10000 ticket basically, along with taking your license.
>>28611841>>racing leathers including toe sliders for a fucking scooter>the type of bike matters for safety
BIKE REICH NOW!TOTAL CAGGIE DEATH!FORCE THEM ALL ON TO 125'S!TAX INCENTIVES FOR BIKES!
>>28612227>need my toe sliders for when I'm leaning mah scooter over despite the fact you can fiit 3 sets of feet inside a scooter>need my 300kmh rated leathers for when I'm maxing out at a supersonic mach 75 kmh.>ATGATT yall
>>28611997Wrongt. want to see his nips
>>28612232Did it ever occur to you not to bray like a donkey about things you have no personal experience with?
>>28612266These people are literally contractually obliged to wear their leathers as per their sponsor. Why are ATGATT homos so ready to die on this hill all the time? Might I remind you that cyclists get up to faster speeds than a scooter, and they are literally wearing fabric so thin it makes the average whore in Victoria Secret blush.
Nobody thinks you're badass because you ride around in wearing only the thong your boyfriend gave you.
I'm going to say it again, motorcycling are filled with the worst queers in all of extreme sports, probably because you can be a fat obese old man faggot and still larp as if you have any manhood left. Other sports you actually have to have some semblance of athleticism, which would remove these weak obese estrogenized geriatrics from the hobby. ATGATT is fucking retarded, if you are cruising around the city doing the speed limit on a fucking scooter, you do not need this shit. Even a helmet is questionable.
>>28612295>knee sildersHes dropping knees to reach for a big mac someone left on the road right after he finished posting on r/motorcycles about how hes proud to always wear his leathers.
>>28612164In Florida you'd go to state prison.
>>28612298Personally I like to tell squids off on motorcycle forums right after my usual friday date with my wife and her boyfriend (usually I let them have some alone time after without me, thats when I'm online posting the most).
>>28612164in most jurisdictions repeated speeding to that extent would entail jail time
>>28612303Oh shit, you're in a polyamorous relationship too? My wife brought it up to me one night, and I understood right away she had unfulfilled desires. Personally I don't, so I stay just with her, but I accept her needs. Leaves me more time to straighten up those squids when shes on a date night without me, in the end its a win for everyone, especially the motorcycling community.
>>28612117>when there aren't seven hundred cops per square inch, they set up like 5+ speed traps along each highway around the citysometimes I forget how privileged I am to live in a place where cops have bigger fish to fry and only camp out in the areas with lots of pedestrian traffic (save for every once in a while when a cop really need to meet his quota)>>28612103>Check out the women's section at a local cycle gear.cyclegear has a really awful women's selection, especially for gloves, it's all short cuff street shit at my cyclegear. Plus the gloves I'm looking at aren't even made in women's>>28612232it was just to take a silly picture anon>>28612266Race scooters like that are stilted on their suspension to be able to achieve better lean angles, scooters start scraping very quickly without modification
>>28612047Bakuon isn't coomerbait, it's high art and a must read for any real motorcyclist.
>>28612316>cops have bigger fish to fryThey do here too, except the goal of the police isn't to stop crime, its to keep the cattle (you, me, and everyone else not worth 9+ figures) in line for their financial masters. Tormenting the cattle by constantly prodding them with the hot iron anytime they act like they have free will is their full time job. 70 speed traps set up around every highway? Check. Two hours to respond to someone breaking into your home? (You aren't worth 9 figures) Check.Total inability to solve murder cases despite having 5 CCT cameras on every corner to make sure they catch your license plate for doing 15km over the limit or go past a red light when no one is there? Check.Doing nothing while rioters burn down your city? Check.Immediately shitstomping any people at protests about goverment tyranny such as the yellow jackets or covid protests? Check. The police are literally your enemy, never forget that, they want to harm you, and they think its funny when they do. >it was just to take a silly picture anonThats fair, the other guy is serious about it though. I like your jacket alot tbqh, /fa/ as hell. Kinda makes me want to get something similar, where you pick it up?
>>28612232I do 95kph regularly on my 125. I wear just my helmet though.
>>28611568Take care anon.
>>28612422Why I say to a lot of people that organised gangs used to do more policing than the police.>Someone fucks up your fence.3 guys get out a Mercedes. Tase and beat the individual to tears and leave without a word.>"Local" individuals who the police can't touch without 6 million articles about how racist they are being put out. Thinking they own the place and causing trouble. They get kidnapped one after another and get left in a forest. The old gangs retired or left for greener pastures and my home town became a shithole afterwards.
>>28612187>its about the license.Ok, but if you planning on running from the police on your next bike... why are you worried about your loicense? You do know that running from the police is 100x worse than riding around without a loicense, right? And you do know that if you caught doing over double the limit with or without a loicense, they are probably going to perma-ban you from riding ever again anyways, right?
>>28612465>you planning>you caughtI became ESL for a post. You'RE*
>>28612461Yeah its been pretty clear to me that the police are just guard dogs for the rich after we watched someone breaking into a neighbor's house, and waited literal hours before police showed up, when they did it come it was some generic questions, a quick house tour, and then fucked off without a care in the world. Left unsolved, probably didn't even bother looking around the neighborhood for the guy. Crazy how there is a whole "we love our boys in blue" movement, as if these same "boys in blue" aren't the first ones to beat your brains in and pepperspray you the second you protest your government, LMAO!
How many motorcycles is too many motorcycles.I want a third one. Am I retarded or genius? They'll all be riden not storage queens.>No I won't mention what, because it's off topic to my question
>>28612498Depends, like owning a Sumo, supersport, and a dirtbike? Logical and fine. Owning 3+ different supersports like some influencers do? Retarded, maybe an argument for having a straight liner like a busa and a twisty/track bike like an R6, but thats it.
left boot expired
>>28612498>three of the exact same supersportbased...
>>28612514>all gixxer 1000
I got to ride with a random R1 on my way to work this morning. We pulled onto the highway at the same time. I'd never own a cross plane because of the issues but holy fuck did that though sound other worldly when he opened it up.
>>28612498mention what it is, idiotI have a gixxer and a dyna, considering also getting a GS or TigerI find that completely reasonable, because they all serve their niches

>>28612461Modern police are just protection rackets of their own, and the old gangsters retired because they can't compete with the biggest protection racket of them all: The Government.
