You will never be a real R series. You have no I4, you have no V4, you have no revs. You are a commuting roleplayer twisted by tiktok and youtube into a crude mockery of Yamaha's perfection.

All the validation you get is twofaced and halfhearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your friends laugh at your paralLEL twin appearance behind closed doors.

Eventually it'll be too much to bear, you'll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They'll bury you with a headstone marked with your engine name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know an MT-07 is buried there.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

I just finished uni and been thinking about picking up one of these comes next summer. Thoughts on the Suzuki gsx s125? It's not very powerful but I like the idea of just cruising around on the weekends, also I could drive it on roads designated for bikes which would be kino since theres this cozy forest just between me and my new job.

I genuinely don't get why Dealers do this. I guess I should get it being someone who bought a new bike, but a bike that's $2500 on cycletrader is marked up over a third its list price because of hidden fees, taxes, tag, title.

And the retard on the other end thinks I'm going to pay that and even asked for a deposit. I don't get how dealerships haven't collapsed sooner.

>>
>>28617971
I dunno. Is it true that when you try and boil down every single thing down into to simple binary categories it's called concern trolling?
>>
>>28617971
not really. A dual rotor setup is not needed on 400cc- engines. you dont need that much stopping power. ive ridden a 200cc dual rotor chinese bike and breaking was supreme but it was honestly overkill for the lil engine
>>
>>28617971
not necessarily. it just means it's a commuter or meme bike
>>
>>28617979
Phsyics-let here. Wouldn't you're tire rubber's grip be the determining factor in maximum usable braking force? As in, you can put as many rotars on the tire as you like, but if the rubber starts skidding, it's wasted effort.

That's not to say some of these fat fucking front tires aren't up to the task, but a narrow ass dual sport front tire won't be.
>>
>>28617987
Yeah every change in velocity is ultimately down to the rubber and road friction
>>
>>28617987
good take. technically speaking if you are are the right angle and the tarmac is dry enough even the cheapest rubber will grip. we have to remember the breaking force literally starts at the caliper

As motorcycle tires curve in *all* directions, their width doesn't determine the amount of rubber meeting road. (And tire load vs traction is only a slightly diminishing return.) So it's all counterintuitive.

>>
>>28618196
>theres 0 reputable dealerships on the whole continent selling or repairing these monkey metal shitsticks
There's actually some of them in the place this being sold with service centers in eu, and ithe bike is on guarantee. I'm honestly interested in why it is a bad machine and why people get rid of it once bought.

theyre not CFMoto dealers
theyre 3rd party "affiliates" with 0 actual obligation to fix your shit, and when something does go wrong they can have you bike for like 6 months without fixing it because theyre waiting on a part to be batch produced in china but the last run just finished and you missed it and youre not allowed to use non-genuine parts

also the telemetrics thing, just look it up

also theyre chinkshit, theyre designed to LOOK like a real bike and thats about it, just look like it. they dont actually work or run like a proper bike, despite them stealing all the design techniques and secrets of kawasaki, their bikes are put together by the dumbest chigger shitstains known to man who cant even tighten bolts properly before shipping and all the materials they use are infinitely inferior to jap bikes and dare I say even INDIAN bikes

if a bike costs a certain price, its because it costs a certain price
japs have been making ninja 650's for 20 years, and they literally cant make it any cheaper
what makes you think a chink copying their shit, but making it worse, painting it white and sticking some temu LEDs onto it would make it better, but also 1/2 the price?

WAKE UP

well its a honda, so indestructible
and its cheaper
and the horsetorques are probably closer to real numbers on the hoonder

assuming no major GOTCHA with the other side being scratched from a slide, i'd say its probably a better deal

and if youre a goon, the hoonder is about 15mph faster at top end, and way easier to wheelie (but you didnt hear that from me fritz ;) )

What is your wind speed?
Rain gear is the ultimate wind breaker. And pretend like you are an inside out sheep leather outside and wool on the inside.
>>
>>28618837
Like 150khm max.
>leather outside and wool on the inside.
Yeah, thats why I was wondering if wearing jackets over leathers would work or not, since normally you have soft layers inside and then one hard layer outside.

>>
>>28618838
The wind will really fucking cut.
Worse part is going to be your hands if you don't have guards to keep the wind off.
Some cheapo methods is wear rubber gloves underneath your moto gloves to stop the wind from sucking your heat out and it keeps your hands dry to prevent further thermal loss.
>>
>>28618841
Gloves I will wear proper isolated waterproof ones since I know this is the one area that will get the coldest, already have amazon heated grips on order. My boots are waterproof already with extra room for thick socks and should be fine.
>>
>>28618824
In the winter I wear an occunomix DOT level three visibility cold weather full body over suit
It’s 300D polyester and I put it over my clothes, which are usually riding jeans and an airbag vest. It’s comfy down to 21 degrees on the highway
>>
>>28618844
Oh good your not that poor.
And your gear should be fine.
Another tip what I do during winter is hard boil two eggs and put them inside my jacket and eat them once I get to work.
>>
>>28618846
>>28618844
>>28618841
Also get yourself hippo hands, or a hippo hand knock off. I have heated grips and hippo hands and it works great with normal leather gloves plus wool liner so I still have a lot of feel for the controls
I also wear heated socks, gerbing
>>
>>28618841
NTA but speaking of gear

so far i've coped well enough with what i have so far, but i really think i need a pair of waterproof pants (i only have one pair of riding jeans) and more importantly some warmer gloves (something like "autumn" gloves? i don't want full on bulky winter ones i've seen so far in the shops) to more comfortably ride in the offseason, especially here that gets kinda chilly (picrel are the macna i use now, they are basically a sport jersey with leather on palm and some rubber on top)
Any reccomendation? unfortunately there are basically no gear-shops near me and those that are here have pisspoor selection of just a couple of items so i'd have to order online. i was looking at the latest fortnine video about it and really liked all the features of the five SF1 but it's a bit too expensive for me
>>
>>28618856
You don't need waterproof pants, just get rain pants which you pull over your riding jeans. It adds another layer between you and the cold and it 100% keeps the wind out.
The other anons gave their ideas and recommendations for gloves already so have a read.

Absolute cunts. As someone who's recently had an attempted theft (and another about a year ago) I empathise, although I've been fortunate enough that they've seen my locks and given up. Another guy on my estate wasn't so lucky and they took a hammer to his disc locks (still didn't manage to break them), scratched the bike up, bent one of the clip-ons, and busted the steering lock by the looks of it. Put the chain around the rim and tyre instead and then use the lock to secure the ends together.

good random encounter, gave me a bit of confidence. the carb i went to buy was shot tho, would've been a wasted day if not for old drunk guy's spontaneous lesson.

Is riding a real skill or a typical one year driver has the same riding skill as a typical ten years rider?
>>
>>28619092
you just need big balls
>>
>>28619092
riding isnt necessarily a skill, riding a bike is very simple
but knowing how to react in situations and understanding circumstances, road conditions, weather conditions, and how your bike will react to them IS a skill
>>
>>28619092
Riding is a real skill, but if you are a slowfag doing the speed limit or close to, then you will never progress or learn. In that case, yes, a ten year rider would be equal to a one year, since neither can ride well. You'll see this with braindead boomies telling you how many miles of cock they have sucks over the 12 centuries they have been alive, yet ask them if they can wheelie and its right to dat dere blank boomie stare.

However if you actually ride hard, read how to ride, do drills, and practice the same corners over and over again, there will be a huge difference in skill. Honestly if you just ride hard (like if a corner warns you to take it at 60kmh, but you take it at say 110) for a few months, you'll be better than 90% of the other riders around you who just ride speed limits.

You will of course crash learning that way, but crashes from riding hard are NBD most of the time because you just slide around into whatever bushes or maybe down a barrier on the highway. The real crashes that will fuck your shit up are when cagies pull out in front of you and you do the equivalent of riding straight into a steel wall.
>>
>>28619117
>boomers cant wheelie
man you are dumb as fuck, i dont think you can wheelie btw
>>
>>28619119
Boomers can't wheelie, 99% of people can't wheelie and tell you they "just never tried", just like they never got good at riding. How people spend their entire lives on a motorcycle and never bother to learn is beyond me.

Riding is a skillset
Just like driving is
Most people cannot drive or ride even though they do
The most challenging is hardcore enduro, singletrack shitfests of ungodly muskegg and mud and suffering for days if you crash hard and alone, and the isle of manlets supersport cornering european extreme edition

Its also challebging to ironbutt out a 10k mile jourbey on a minimoto

I dont thibk we need to emphasize wheelie as a necessary riding skill unless circumstances demand it like hopping over a obstacle offroading
Are there any other genuine uses for wheelies on the street other than a competitive launch or stabilizing death wobbles as per the discussion itt >>28619073

its from the guys instagram, like 5-6 posts back
he was trying to wheelie and looped it like a retard, and sent his bike sideways somehow
>>
>>28619193
That explains half of it, but you don't need a hand brake to wheelie unless you are doing them in a position besides sit down, and there is nothing wrong with wearing race boots when doing wholies (most stunters don't even wear gear at all).

Also I feel like death wobbles has no proper way to cure them, everyone gives different advice from more throttle, less throttle, harder grip on the bars, less grip, no grip, do nothing, do something, etc. Has there ever actually been advice from MotoGP guys, and has there even been any actual testing in regards to it?

theres a couple who do, theres the guy that always posts the video of it with offroad tyres and full luggage

theyre designed with the idea of being tourers, which is why theyre so powerful, but you strip them down to the bare minimum and stretch it and its a really good straight line bike

its like people who race trucks(lorries (big rigs)), they have huge fucking engines in them designed for pulling massive loads, but if you strip them down theyre actually really fast around a racetrack, and theyre all rear-wheel drive, so theyre REALLY good for drifting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwdz12BwOc4

Knee knockers don't require ankle movement, looks like hes doing them in his boots as well. Idk, just seems like your looking for excuse to hate, can you even stunt yourself?.

You talk a lot about wheelies but that tiny clutch pop bro cmon. You can talk when you get actually decent at em
>>
>>28619216
>Knee knockers don't require ankle movement
they do, and with full boots you dont have enough range of (subtle) motion to manage your brakes properly in situations like he got himself in to
and if you want to do anything beyond a knee knocker, youre gonna have to get that hand brake and start learning it

>>28619226

Meanwhile pic related, racing boots are really not that restrictive bud. And I'm going to ask again, do you even stunt yourself?
>>
>>28618911
Unlike politicians electricity follows laws.
If you put the volt meter on there and if it reading like >9 then you need a new battery.
