What's the best way to prevent this from happening?
Is there a clamp or something that I can buy and use to clamp the bottom of my jacket to my belt, or something? It happens ALL the time.

Buy real gear. It will have zippers/straps/something to attach your jacket to your pants.
>>
>>28623644
My jackets options were extremely limited so I have to live with the one I'm (literally) wearing now. So is there a work around?

Pic related is my jacket (worn by a model)

Unless you're willing to sew something to it I don't think you have much option.

>Suzuki
"Omoiyari"
The founder of Suzuki was notorious from seeing from the perspective of their customers and incorporating it into his buisness model and im not even a zuki enthusias. For example, while long term innovation is minimal (mimicking existing bikes is another) parts supply is extraordinary which ultimately benefits a Suzuki customer while doubling as a way to reap profit from minimal R&D or tooling investments. Omoiyari would be accurate with a slight sense of malignancy attached to it.

Should I bother wearing a motorcycle jacket on my TW200? I just got one at a thrift store and it's super nice but it feels kind of out of place wearing all that gear shit on a small bike i feel like a poser.

>>28623691
Scooters are incredibly based I had this 150cc scooter when I was 18 and I rode that long ass fucking distances like it was a car because I had nothing else. I was getting like 62 max speed so I could ride on 55 state highways without fully maxing the engine. It had this storage compartment under the seat where I stored a rainsuit and a hammock so I could sleep if I got tired. I hooked up a USB port from the battery so it felt super cozy being able to charge my phone and just rely on the thing. A bunch of random stickers all over it. Probably got like 90mpg. It felt very soulful riding it more than it was expected to and making it mine.

I'll never understand why bad riders try to run, if you can't even keep your bike topped out at its max on a mostly empty highway, why bother? At least leave the highway, only way to escape police on the highway is going constant 160+mph.

Huh, apparently Zero stopped being such giant faggots.
>no more paid motorcycle DLC, everything enabled OOTB

So now the only problems are the bikes are still kind of cheap feeling and you need to cough up an extra $3200 for a second battery if you want actual max range.
>>
>>28623832
>why the fuck would they cost so much if both cheap and expensive helmets have same ECE standard of protection
Aerodynamics, noise, weight, FOV.

Note that aero and noise don't matter if you aren't hauling major ass, which is why those expensive brands are designed for racers and turbo squids.

C S Lewis has really good advice about this, I forget which talk
But when you let your hobby grow organically you’ll love it more than before
Let’s say you like shooting
You let shooting get you into hunting and you let that get you into bird watching, and then you’ll still be enjoying shooting twenty years later instead of getting bored with it
He’s applying the lesson to marriage if I remember correctly, and I believe his example is a pilot of you want to look for the talk
But let motorcycling get you into something else, don’t try to pigeonhole it as motorcycling

I think you mean lane filtering, splitting is going between cars at like 80kmh+ where people like that won't have time to react or see you coming down a lane for 30 seconds straight like with filtering. Ideally in a split the people you split won't even know its happening until you are already past them, which is probably what scared the karen into her asshurt rage.

That said I haven't had the door opening thing happen to me while filtering, how did you dodge it? Did you fight the negros and smash mirrors? Luckily I don't live around blacks, only Indians kek.

To be honest I don't even notice a difference, to me everyone drives like shit, and I can't blame them, in a cuckcage doing the endless stop-start-stop-start at speed limit is enough to make anyone turn off their brains and start texting while driving. Cars should just be banned and transit should be upgraded by like 50 fold into being a nice and quick experience. I wouldn't have ever even bothered to buy a cuckcage if transit was in an acceptable place, before bikes I used to literally want to suicide every day I was forced to sit in traffic.

The biggest difference between drivers to me is what they drive: challengers, chargers, g37, 350z, wrx, modded civic, some teslas, those are the types that will try to "race" and instantly lose because they can't split traffic. Truck drivers are the worst drivers on the road, mostly because they are the most likely to intentionally try to close gaps in some bizarre self righteous zeal as pretend road pigs. Rest of the traffic is usually just on autopilot, not paying attention to you at all, they may or may not turn at any moment, but usually give a lot of "tells" before they even reach for a turn signal (or without one).
>>
>>28624153

Karens routinely get hired for HR work and then pivot into actual managerial work, this is because of the rampant belief that all middle management work is the same and "Field work" is exclusively the job of blue-collar lazy hicks who aren't deserving of sitting in an office.

This is true no matter where you go. The moment you set foot out in the nebulous frontier known as "The field" you lose all qualification to sit in management. I see this all the time in my engineering job. Karens who barely have an AA in accounting and can barely operate their own computers and deal with business exclusively through their iphones will get pivoted to senior management positions over Engineers with masters degree. The Karens are seen as being more valuable than people with ten years experience in a skilled field because they never had to set foot outside of their offices, and other office-dwellers view this as a sign of being management material, never getting their hands dirty.

This is the true reason all HR departments are completely poisoned with immensely incompetent people and why all large companies eventually lose their talented staff and begin to run themselves into the ground. If it was a requirement that HR Staff could only interview and vet applications from positions they were only qualified enough to hold themselves; all problems in the corporate world would fix themselves overnight. Multiple major business consultants and advocates have spoken about how gatekeeping in HR inevitably leads to tyranny of the incompetent as only the most shiftless people would wish to protect themselves in their positions while everyone else is interested in results.

But anyway, I'm thinking of buying a Janus. Talk me out of it, /dbt/
>>
>>28624249
America doesn't work like that, speaking to previous "Incompetent protecting the incompetent", part of the reason they're allowed to form managerial castes is because America has no wrongful termination policy. Most states are "At-will" which means they can fire you for any reason as long as they never state the reason you're fired. Thank 40 years of union busting for this development that belongs exclusively in the third world.

It's another reason I was thinking of a Janus: despite the bad PR their tank-slappers are getting, they are a good motorcycle company that treats its employees well, even if most of their parts are Chinese off-the-shelf; they're not to the point of throwing their workers off the building like what is common in other thirdie countries motorcycle plants

>But when you let your hobby grow organically you’ll love it more than before
My personal take here is that it's due to competition with less "bodied" passtimes. Things like watching a TV series, playing a round of your favorite video game, or even just reading a book. They tend to require less preparation and you can stop doing them in a moment's notice, meaning they put less strain on your decision making processes.

In short, motorcycling just seems like more of a hassle, at least, until you're out on the road. But as usual, IRL activities tend to be meat-and-starch experiences compared to the HFCS quick hit of digital life.

>There's still rampant cronyism, Indians, and (((tribalism)))
all three the result of one illness: Management picks HR, HR only allows business types to enter management. Technical fields are viewed as replaceable even though ideally it's the opposite.

This results in the cronyism, the Indians (one indian in management can replace an entire corporate level with just indians of their family and caste and there's no safeguards to prevent it) and the tribalism that results from corporate spheres looking out only for their corporate level or caste.

It's the death spiral of any company when management becomes so detached from their jobs that they could be transplanted anywhere and do the same job.

you have to know to lay yourself down on the tank while reducing acceleration and so few people even think to do that in the heat of the moment.

Someone posted a video some manufacturer, I think maybe Honda, did in the 70s about the speed wobble and their conclusion was to distribute weight as far forward as you can and as quickly as you can, and even then their wobbles were far less severe than hers was.
>>
>>28624412
most likely not
an independent investigator basically said
>shit roads
>shit tyre tread
>tread matched the road surface
>also youre way too light

she's like 5'0 and 44kg, theres nothing actually holding/forcing the bike down, and she was basically at full speed, so no way shes accelerating out of it

if youre a schizo, you can also power through it, essentially putting the bike in an extremely low power wheelie, and wait for the front to stop wobbling
but you have to be able to go an extra like 15-20mph faster

You would need a lot of power tho, I'm not sure the Janus250 can wheelie even from a stop. It uses the same engine and drive train the Lifan 250 uses IIRC, an ancient Honda clone that was made for dirt bikes and scooters in Japan.

The 450 could probably do it, idk if she was on that or not.

*28mph braking
he was for sure not going 28 mph before he was pulled out in front of and hit the brakes. Not saying it was his fault, but delta V - deceleration - makes as much of a difference on the point of impact as V does.
>>
>>28624512
Just randomly making up a fantasy are we? From what was told he was looking off to the right just cruising, might not have even hit the brakes when the retarded cagie pulled in front. >I'm going to ride up to Port Angeles and take the Coho to Victoria, and ride up to Cowichan, Port Alberni, and Tofino.
Thats a nice trip, Victoria is beautiful for a retirement home full of dying boomies. If you get the chance you can also go further north a bit to Courtenay, ferry across to Powell River, and then eventually see all the sunshine coast, which is amazing too.The whole of highway 19 on Vancouver island is nice though, I'll take some pics next time I hit it.

I'm sure you already know since I'm guessing your Pacific Northwest yourself, but next month is when the rain starts pouring like crazy up here. Its also rather chilly, like 15 highs in sun, make sure to look at the weather reports like mad before you leave, 15% chance of showers could end up being a whole lot more than you expect though.
>>
Ok I was asking chatgpt about different bikes and was asking for comparisons on different issues, and this motherfucker convinced me to get an NC750X at the end. He was talking like a Honda dealer lmao

It really is fucking crazy man, like I really don't even see a difference between Canadians and Americans, bunch of fake """culture""" bullshit to me, yet its basically impossible to immigrant legally to America as a Canadian. The "countries" are totally fake economic zones that are full-on open border if you are brown, and yet a white man is totally denied entry unless you are boomie rich and pay your way in.
>>
>>28624918
Or you could get a trike and drift your little heart out. Spyders are basically on road snow mobiles.

>happened because she approached the lip straight instead of an angle
So the bike cant handle a situation most modern bikes would more than likely recover from? Cool, lets throw a small woman that's only had experience with modern bikes on it and take her on a 65mph road trip.
>>
>>28625004
>>I'm sure you already know since I'm guessing your Pacific Northwest yourself,
Lived here ten years, yeah. I'd be doing it this month but I'm still healing up (including my wallet...) from my month-long tour that ended a couple weeks ago.

>Victoria is beautiful for a retirement home full of dying boomies.
We've got places like that here too. But as you said, they're *dying*. I expect a massive real estate crash on this side of the border if we can stop our government from throwing the gates back open to another gorillion brown people. Hopefully Canada reverses course too but lol.

I'm surprised you even come up here honestly, I would unironically kill someone in minecraft to be allowed to live in Cali and ride there forever. A whole state of legal lane splitting, unlimited sun, endless mountains, bueatiful coast, moderate temperature. Its literally heaven on earth. Meanwhile the rent here is just as AIDS as LA is, except with shit weather and a population that might as well be reddit:the city. I mean just look at pic related, this place is fucking cancer.

>>28625020
>if we can stop our government from throwing the gates back open to another gorillion brown people
If there is one thing I've learned, its that boomies will brown your entire country to hell and back to ensure their houses keep the line going up. All the politicians and businesses are in on it as well, Mcdonalds is a real estate business first and foremost. Blackrock is in on it,all the investment firms are in on it.

Shit is never collapsing, neofuedalism is coming soon.

My condolences to you and your family, mine came from the UK. I used to think I would rather live in the UK, but its so dystopian and tyrannical there now that I almost think even Canada is better.
>>
>>28625061
you can keep your condolences I love America, Canada is a hellscape I visit every year just to see how much worse its gotten.

you can do the sickest drift ever on snow but only once

Only way to have fun here is something that can escape police through filtering like a bike, or snowmobile innawoods.

it’s always cool when the snow packs your wheel around the rim. I got yelled at by a neighbor for doing snow drifting in our park right after I bought this lil peashooter bike. Last winter we got over a foot of snow and I tried to ride but it was so deep it was literally all I could do to get it out of the road and back into the garage.

Can you not go out into some remote area or are Mounties littered in every crevasse? Too cold?

California air quality is pig AIDS except up in the basically-PNW parts of the state, and the "unlimited sun" just makes me either sweat through my gear or burn red.

that would have been smart but they kind of forgot to do that before I turned 18. completed the naturalization process almost 10 years ago now.

sorry spoken for already.
most straightforward way is to get a job lined up sponsored by a stateside company.

If you were born in Canada to American citizens you’re an American citizen, you bring their information to an embassy to prove it and that all there is to it.
>>
>>28625115
Here’s all the paperwork you need to prove it

Sorry this is the Netherlands but it’s pretty much the same everywhere
My wife’s aunt just got Spanish citizenship in her sixties the same way, pretty much every country is like this
>>
>>28625115
you don't get automatically naturalized if you're over 18 when you're parents themselves first become citizens unfortunately.

Why can't Suzuki put the Hayabusa engine in something that looks like an M109R?

Thats the snowmobile innawoods part of my post. Snowmobiling is mega gay compared to bikes though. Everything is homosex compared to bikes. I need an American wife for a green card, I don't even care if shes not white, I must escape...

>air quality
They do have a lot of fires there lately,

>sun
I mean honestly I don't really like sun, but I just don't want rain and snow when I'm riding. In an ideal fantasy world it would be perpetually overcast with no rain, but such a place doesn't exist. Cali is simply the best place in the world for biking that isn't Italy or Spain, meanwhile here where I live 6-9 months of the year is just rain every single day endlessly, and thats the best you get in Canada. The alternative is 50ft of snow for 4 months and 50 Celsius summers.
>>
>>28625131
the engine size wont let you handle the bike properly, too big. Friend of mine sold his zh2 because of the same thing, literal drag strip hogs
>>
>>28625147
It's not even the wildfires, it's the base level smog that just piles up because of the east facing mountains. Vancouver and Seattle would have the same problem if they didn't get so much rain.
>>

Ah yeah I'm reading about it now, apparently it used to be as bad as China back in the 80s.

The m109 already has 350ccs more than the Busa. That said it doesn’t need a bigger or more powerful engine. Sweet spot for cruisers is 700-900 for a nasty little bike you can throw around and 1700+ like the m109 has for a big boy megacruser

I went ahead and asked the dealership for a trade in value for my rebel300 and if the parts order is long lead or backorder. Hopefully I at least know something.
>>
>>28625309
After you get your new bike you should break into the dealership and set the Rebel 300 on fire so that they cannot get away with their scam.
>>
11 mile commute each way to work on the little Coleman today.
>>
>>28625312
If they give me a lead time of 6 months on the initial part order I am buying their ctx700n(possibly idk really what I want as a replacement yet but hopefully something with two cylinders or at least abs)then lighting everything on fire.

Question, when I was riding and low sided was I right for counter steering and dropping to first and holding the clutch in through the corner entry? Was I just going too fast? First always had noticeably more bite than other gears.

Normally low side is because of throttle usage, but if you had the clutch in then you couldn't be giving throttle. Without seeing its pretty hard to tell, but it could have been a bad patch of gravel/oil, maybe you hit the brakes too much, or even more probable than all is that your movement was too sudden, everything on a bike should be smooth. If you counter steer too hard too quickly (trying to lean it over really quick) you'll upset the bike and slide out, because you had your clutch in, that would be my best guess ignoring road conditions.
