>>28625326>holding the clutch in through the cornerFucking LEL, these are the faggots giving out riding advice LMAO. What do you call this, KYS technique ROMFLAMAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAH
>>28625351watch out we got fucking keith code in here lolol
>>28625366>entering corner with an unloaded front tire>ijustdontknowwhatwentwrong
>>28625347>If you counter steer too hard too quickly (trying to lean it over really quick) you'll upset the bike and slide outThis is probably what happened replaying it in my head, I slammed my elbow into the ground as soon as I repositioned myself. I probably should have also just gone a lot slower since I am still way too new to confidently ride out city streets without corning really slow.
>>28625369NTA nor the original guy, but you don't need engine braking to load a front tire you fucking spastic, engine braking is just rear brake, if hes braking throughout a corner then hes loading the front.
Legends say if you put this on, you're destined to be betrayed.
>>28625374If he says he held the clutch through the corner and low sided I’m willing to bet there were no brakes used at allThe inertia of the corner can also load the tire but again, given that he took a corner with the clutch in in willing to bet there were no brakes used either
>>28625373You replied to the wrong post , I'll link it for the curious >>28625356Anyways, Slowly roll into everything you do from braking, throttle, and lean. You should also be braking into the corner until the apex, which is the tightest part of the turn, after that its slow roll on throttle and leaning upright again. >repositioned myselfDo not move around the seat during a corner, it will upset the suspension and cause accidents. You want your butt on the side of the seat before you are even entering the corner, whatever position you are in during a corner should not be adjusted from even if it is sub-optimal. The only time you move your body is when the bike is upright and straight. Listen to your bike, it should have already warned you about moving during a corner, you would have gotten a bouncy effect from your rear suspension when you've done it in the past, that is the bad sign that you are fucking up badly and due for a crash. >>28625387Wrong, usually new riders pull in the clutch because they are braking and are used to doing it for a full stop. Clutch in meant he was braking. Now he might have stopped braking at the wrong time, but almost certainly he was braking for the corner.
>>28625392This is the same faggot telling you to clutch in during turns kek
>>28625395Epic reading comprehension.
>>28625376>a helmet that comes with paulies haircuttake my money
>>28625392I don't even feel my rear suspension except for on bumps. I usually engine brake and hold rear brake till the apex unless I am already going really slow. I was holding the clutch in and on the rear brake in this case because the turn light just changed as I was approaching but I low sided after the apex. I was trying to get a tighter angle. I have only been riding for less than a year basically when it happened.
Slow inFast outAnd just don't fall off. It's literally that easy, reduce Throttle load if you're swinging wide. You guys aren't thinkin straight if you think real world riding is identical or even remotely close to mimicking track antics. >inb4 yer a puzzi m8 4 not riskin it all for some clicks>>28625407If you like that there was a dude who cosplayed as Parry the platypus and had a cursed as fuck helmet setup. Sadly don't got a pic to show tho :(
>>28625430This is the same motherfucker telling you to clutch in during turns.
magine this>Riding your 390cc cuckbike>eat shit>all the fairings get blown clean off>pegs shear off>insurance has to get involved because plastic bike and no wrench>laying in the hospital bed on deaths doorstep>B-B-BROS DONT Forget TO CLUTCH IN DURING TURNS OKAY!!!"
>>28625428The only way to retighten a line is to lower speed and/or lean harder, but like everything it needs to be gradual, you can't just flick it in as a panic for when you fucked up, and as before stated, lower body doesn't move in a corner, you can move the upper, but like everything else, you do so slowly. You also got to realize that street tires aren't made for being on their very edge like that, track tires have a more v shape to them to maximize grip while leaning, and your tires might not even be in their best shape to begin with.So yeah, if you weren't applying throttle (because of holding clutch) and lowsided after the apex from trying to retighten, you asked too much too quickly from your tires, you may have even unloaded the front a bit if you were letting off the brake cus you had apex'd already. My internet diagnosis is: don't move around in a corner, go wide at first so you don't have to panic correct your corner, don't try to lean over too quickly after you fucked up your apex, and slow roll everything.
>>28625428Tldr; I panicked mid corner and the bike slid out the rear as soon as I got on the throttle and repositioned quickly. Sorry I was veing vague, I just wanted to know what I should have done on entry to prevent panicking at apex.
>>28625347shift into gear--->engine dies.neutral safety switch lamp works ok.
>>28625448Not on my machine.
>>28625442>I got on the throttle and repositioned quickly.Oh you should have said that to begin with, I thought you said you were holding clutch. Ended up writing all this >>28625440 for nothing. Yeah brah you can't be giving throttle AND trying to tighten your line, thats literally the opposite of how it works, brake and lean in vs stand up and throttle. If you need to retighten a line, do NOT give any throttle, better to end up too slow than like this. Anyways I'm off, looks like the thread schizo is have another melty anyways, good luck in the future and no more throttle +lean at the same time, lean comes with braking.
>>28625452Bro you ride a fucking 390
>>28625452I did it because I know these threads have schizos that rage bait and I wanted advice instead of being ignored like when I asked about insurance and if I should ride it home when it happened.
>>28625456>have schizos that rage baitIts literally just one guy, he's nobike but comes here to screech everyday about others. He didn't like it when I asked him to post his bike like seven times in a row, so now hes particularly attracted to me hehe. Anyways, later.
>>28625454This kek
>>28625454im having a laugh while i read your schizophrenia ridden posts thinking he is me lmao. in my case i just entered a corner too fast, usually i take that corner at 30mph but this time i was going at least 60. to be honest im still thanking God for not dying that night somehow
i ride a 250. AMA
>I'm going to sleep okay bros!>doesn't fuck offbitch had to stay up all night so no one else can bake fucking cunt, stale ass reddit thread every FUCKING day for a fucking year now oh my god
Should I just live off my bike and go homeless. I'm a NEET and just sit in the house all day. I'm thinking of just getting some camping gear and living off my dual sport. I live in the NY Hudson Valley and there are a lot of nice state forests with mountain overlooks here but not so rural I'll die in the woods hundreds of miles from civilization.
>>28625476What's it like being a speed demon? I ride a 150 and it is my only bike.
/adventure/
>>28625452>>28625440I'm NTA one of the fags who ride a low cc bike that got my msf last year. one of the msf instructors told me that when going into a turn, the sharpness of that turn is directly related to the speed that you enter it. If I pull in the clutch and start to coast, I just took away the ability for the bike to add power and tighten my lean through a slow, steep turn and thus put myself at an even bigger risk of low-siding the bike. is this right?
>>28625480probably the worst time of the year to consider that, no?and whats your plan when niggers find you sleeping and steal your bike?
>>28625482it's in that really shitty in-between zone of being too slow to be adequate on the highway while being too fast to convince myself that I really only got it to fuck around so what was I expecting. In all honesty, I wish I got an XR150L and modded the fuck out of it instead of the bike I got. The bike I got is too slow, screams and moans when it needs to keep up with highway traffic, and was far too expensive for what I got it for. Meanwhile I'd be out the door for 4 grand from any dealer with an xr150l and probably have much more fun with what is effectively a dirt bike with plates.
>>28625488oh and it's a honder
>>28625450so how do i fix it?
>>28625488I used to commute on I-95 on an XT250 because there were like 3 - 5 lanes so I could just ride in the rightmost lane which was mostly empty and slow anyway. I did 60 in those without maxing the engine. You could do highways on them it's just not the greatest way to do them
>>28625480>should I make myself homeless and rely on an easily stolen motorcycle as my only form of transportation in New York just before winter?I don't know, man, just be yourself.
>>28625503I've just parked my motorcycle outside with no lock other than the steering lock and I live in a ghetto apartment complex and it hasn't been stolen after years it wouldn't get stolen in the woods. It doesn't really get unbearably cold until mid to late November nowadays so I have a couple months.
>>28625500Won't I blow up the engine doing that?
>>28625509a 250cc should be designed to cruise at 55 I dont think going 60 would be a big deal, thats already under the speed limit on most interstates too
>>28625505Well then let us know how it goes, retard-kun.
Shit-anon hereI'm doing well and riding is comfortable again
>>28625347I'm tempted to get a CT125 as a little back-of-the-truck camp bike since I'd look like a circus bear on that Coleman.
>>28625523>shit-anon
>>28625524why not just main it
>>28625516Maybe I should just be happy with what I have or stop being a pussy and wring it out as god intended.
>>28625528I like going fast.
>>28625524CT's are great, you won't regret it
Washed my bike, hit it with some instant detail, and finished off by cleaning the chain. Been too long, looks very pretty
>>28625533your bike has a furry on it
>>28625533tfw no foxgirl BDR gf
>>28625517Fuck off you faggot you're just being rude for no reason with the insults. I just asked a question.
>>28625548You're being insulted because your idea is fucking retarded and so are you for not realizing it.
>>28625533cute boxy foot girl
>>28625550Fuck off my tolerance for you tough online losers is limited. Since you're so familiar with the area you sound like you're nearby. We can see how insulting you are in real life fuckface

its outhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAhL9qpo9jI
>>28625559Yeah hasn't been stolen not sure why retards always have this scare you need 2 or 3 guys to lift it and then what are they going to do break the lock and have to hotwire the bike and split a severely diminished value dual sport with no title among 3 guys for like 200 each
>>28625562What is out?
>>28625437No I don't do that I maintain momentum with the engine engaged, unless it's a panic stop that must be done mid corner that cannot be swerved around (such as a Log or tree in the road from a blind corner) Sometimes I pull the clutch in so dogs don't get they ears hurt from loudercycle though.
bikes for this feel?
>>28625523Take regular shits faggot.
What the fuck is going on? Idiots pulling in clutch in turns? Watch TOTW2 and do what it says there. IIRC, you need to load the front suspension.
>>286255821 anon pulls the clutch in for some reason.https://youtube.com/shorts/mg6APzDwR98?si=lKT85Ge87hrdvv-W
>>28625584>>28625582tldr the drama is it the 390 faggot?
>>28625576Definitely a TW200>Buy one it's so fun, it can go anywhere! it's slow and fat and has too little power to go anywhere. It's like a big Coleman bike. Not that you'd want to because it has shit like Front/Rear drum brakes >Well at least it's cheap, right!? FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS MSRP. There are so many bikes you can get that are superior for less than 800 dollars extra and you spend 1000-2000 extra in dealers fees on the thing anyway unless it's a used piece of shit. Nobody treats these things with respect so good luck finding a used one that isn't thrashed to shit and requires that much in upgrades anyway.
>>28625584Moto-jitsu is really fucking good. I've had people tell me he's a shill and should buy an ad but his drills do work.
>>28625565>not sure why retards always have this scarebecause some of us have had bikes stolen out of our driveways
Is body position really worth it for street riding? I've been feeling more confident in my cornering and riding closer to the edge of my tires but I feel like I may be risking too much getting to the edge of my tires and I'd like to try to offset that a bit without slowing down. How much more lean can be achieved with a proper body position realistically?pic unrel
>>28625600ok first off, have you had an MSF course? because they teach you that kind of thing there
>>28625600>Is body position really worth it for street ridingdo you want a sore arse, back, shoulders or arms after every ride?if yes, then position doesnt matter
>>28625600>How much more lean can be achieved with a proper body position realistically
