Basically if you want a good side car, track down a Ural. They're archaic but still better than Boomer Davidsons. I think you can custom order a Ural and it comes in cheaper than the cheapest Tri Glide.

Someone suggested checking out Bikes and Beards YouTube channel, which I did. And oh boy.. How is it possible to radiate that much "piece of shit" energy through the screen? The host literally looks and talks like standart shitty driver, that everyone has experience arguing with on the road or seeing in those youtube bad drivers/Karen compilations. And he is probably one of the most popular motorcycle youtuber on the platform. And he also openly says he's christian making proper christians look like pieces of shit. Just why and how?

Moto-Jitsu is a series of riding drills starting on easy mode from the normal MSF course up until advanced Bike Cop courses like weaving between staggered cones before doubling back and doing it again while riding side-saddle. It's the best book of drills you can get because it starts easy and ramps its way up instead of the MSF drill book which gives some pretty rudimentary maneuvers (Dodge this parked object, dodge this parked object faster)

Basically once you hit Black Belt you should never drop your bike under any circumstance while slow riding. It covers almost every hard corner someone can take, and the reason people hate him is because "Hurf sloptuber youtube grifter I can't beat yellow belt LMFAO" from squiddies who likely have dings all up and down their bikes because they don't learn fundamentals. They do the bare minimum and then hit the road.

If you ride a bike, things like this video should be second nature:

>And he is probably one of the most popular motorcycle youtuber on the platform.
Nah that's still F9. He used to have a very good co-host and I think most people watched for him because he would do full teardowns on that channel (Look up The Bearded Mechanic, that was his co-host before he moved).

We've been discussing that for weeks. The guy is a nutjob on the road but the one time he rides normally, carefully, in traffic on a supermoto that isn't even capable of doing half of the shit he does in his videos, Whack. Distracted karen driving urban tank splats him.

Now he can't even walk. But he hasn't said if it's permanent. Just that he can't walk or feel his feet. Unless it's a direct spinal or spine injury, you can recover thanks to physical therapy. It's just not an easy or a desirable road. It's pain every day when you wake up

This is how you get better, dumbass. You don't drop your bike going 100MPH and crashing because "If motoGP riders are crashing," like them racing on a track is anything like you driving on a street.

You do drills in parking lots because you ride IN PARKING LOTS AND ON STREETS. Stop giving riders patently insane and retarded advice. Shit like "Go visit a track and fall" is full-retard advice. You aren't a motoGP racer and you never will be.

Every single trackstar, racer, squid, or stunter is crashing, its all up on youtube if you don't believe me. The only people who don't crash are slowfags, liars, or nobike larpers like DanDantheRedditman.

Don't like it? Don't ride a motorcycle, or at least don't pretend like you are a fast rider. You are told lean = risk, well guess what, speed = risk, fuck around and win the price of going fast. Dude this is fucking retarded advice. You're recommending people go out and get in an avoidable accident to BE A MAN. You're not going to be a man if you end up paralyzed from the waist-down like Gixxer currently is. You're going to be a sad, sobbing baby.

Literally not a single word about doing circles in a parking lot, the entire thing is dedicated to working out and riding bicycles for cardio. Did you even READ it yourself?
> You're recommending people go out and get in an avoidable accident to BE A MAN
That is exactly what I'm saying, if you want to be an idiot (riding a two wheeled machine at 100+mph, or even just riding a two wheeled machine at any speed, Gixxerbrah is paralyzed from a 30mph crash), then accept the consequences of your behavior.

If you never make mistakes you'll never get better. No one who is good at anything on a motorcycle hasn't crashed multiple times to get there. You roll your dice and pray to god, if you don't like it then stay slow and safe, preferably in a protective cage with 4 wheels.

I like how slow-speed drills just become 'doing circles in a parking lot' in your ESL mind.
>That is exactly what I'm saying, if you want to be an idiot
No, I'm saying YOU'RE an idiot. Nobody looks at you getting injured in an avoidable accident and thinks you're cool. They think you're an idiot who rode beyond your skills. The idiot mindset is to say "I guess there's nothing I can do" and then proceed to act like an idiot.

Some accidents are unavoidable, but to act like it's just inevitable that you're going to get injured when it's on you for not training is just stupidity.

MSF really isn't enough. You get a few lessons to swerve past objects and cones and that's it. You need advanced training, too. You should always be dedicating some time into doing drills of some variety whenever you get a chance to. This is how to keep from riding beyond your skill level and being like that idiot saying you need to fall off your bike on a MotoGP track because some race drivers did like they just hopped onto their bikes one day with zero training at all.

What do you think learning is? You go beyond your current ability doing things you aren't sure or capable of until you can do them. How can you learn to kickflip with the inevitable genital damage from failing to land it properly?

And you don't? Not a single person on the planet has perfected riding a motorcycle. Maybe humble yourself and you can get out of the parking lot one day.

No shame in posting wounds from an accident, motorcyclists have frail fragile ego compared to the rest of extreme sports because of the out of shape posers and old men in it. Skaters and mountain bikers its nothing but a ordinary topic of discussion. You fall and stand back up, shit happens. Maybe try playing chess if you don't like it.

You wish, motorcyclists have too many low T redditdads who spend their lives screeching about safety for a hobby that is inherently dangerous. That's because motorcycling has a low barrier to entry as well as separated culture of obese people who just want to "cruise" being placed alongside real riders. The motorcycle "community" doesn't exist, the different groups are as separated from each other as mountain bikers are from innercity commuters.

Hate vacuum petcock bullshit, have one on my carbed bandit. Had similar fueling issues and at first it seemed that the petcock got some garbage in it. Cleaning didn't solve the issue, so it seemed that with a custom exhaust pipe and different carb tuning the petcock couldn't keep up on higher revs. Just ended up running petcock on prime mode that bypasses vacuum diaphragm. Will still likely either get new rubbers or just replace the whole thing with non-vaccum one as well.

This isn't entirely true, lifting weights is a controlled environment and you can absolutely fuck your back up on even light weights because they aren't symmetrical like a weight rack would be.

Likewise you can fuck up even if you're a motocross rider because uncontrolled environments are chaotic by nature.

>>
>>28644598

No I think it's an important distinction. The reason why we practice is because even a perfect rider isn't ready for every single thing.
>>
>>28644598
>Adjusted for inflation bikes aren’t more expensive, you’re just older and grumpier

The "Adjusted for inflation" argument is really, really dumb. The market has changed with inflation. Nobody ever accounts for the fact the market is wildly different now than it was when those bikes were $3000 out the door brand new.

We had cheap, affordable brand back in the day that people, even poor people, even absolute poorfags who could never afford a car, could absolutely buy off the showroom for less than what we could pay today for bikes of the same class IF WE WERE ALLOWED TO BUY THEM. Those cheap bikes are gone. The ability for us to go buy a carbed naked thumper are diminishing by the day, and they jack up the prices of the only models remaining because they know we're a captive audience who have no other choices, now.
>>
>>28644600
But we agree that practicing will reduce the risk, and the better you get the more reduced, no?

>>28644599
>look rossi broke his leg
You’re proving the point, silly
Push yourself to the point you crash on the track, break your leg, maybe some other bones
Push yourself to the point you crash on the street and you get run over by a sixteen wheeler, or fly off a cliff.
That’s the crux of fast eddy’s advice: learn where it’s safe. This is obviously a relative term. I broke my collarbone the first time I went to a track. I tore my hamstring doing motogymkhana. No one thinks it’s risk free to do anything on a motorcycle. Eddy certainly doesn’t say this. But you can learn much more advanced skills than are needed for street riding in much safer environments than the street.
>>
>>28644602
Be extremely specific, and I think I will be able to demonstrate that you’re incorrect about the market.

Easiest and most obvious example would be Suzuki's sub 400cc dual sports.

>DR350
>1994, price was 3599 MSRP, raised to 3999 the following year (Kelly Blue Book)
>Adjusted for inflation is $7,867.68

And if I want to compare to how much it costs today:
There isn't one. The DR350 isn't sold anymore.

But if I want the next available bike in Suzuki's 300-400cc range, I get the DRZ-4S which is 9 FUCKING GRAND
>>
>>28644602
Don't forget insurance. It's now used as a deterrent to keep people out of riding sportsbikes.
>>
>>28644613
i think this is more of an instance of Suzuki being a bunch of retards.
I have no fucking clue what the are thinking with jacking the DRZ's price up that high, at all. Unless the DRZ-400 was just such a good deal that they could not justify the price point of producing it at 7 grand anymore.

I still love Rin but her company has to rank among the dumbest for dumb decisions.
>>

Kawasaki has been surprisingly based, but lets get into the KLX250D2. Which in 1994, was their street legal version of their dirt bike.

>$2,200.00 MSRP*
>$4,809.36 Inflation
>Still can't buy it anymore
So Team Green has been mostly keeping up with Inflation on their KLX series, but they've also taken out their 250cc model which used to be slightly cheaper. I remember the day they discontinued the 250cc and I feel so fucking stupid I didn't buy a KLX250 right then that day because they had discounted prices then.

You wanna be a safe street rider? Don't ride on the street! You really think going to da track will save you from a red light runner?

You know what the best chance would be for literally zero effort? Driving a car! Hell, get yourself an American ford 9001 battlecruiser. I'm not even joking, I know plenty of people who ride dirtbikes and refuse to ride on the streets period, if thats you, then accept your pussified mindset and "save it for da track".

This feminized manner of thought where you get into extreme hobbies and screech endlessly about safety is not only stupid, but extremely estrogenized. You sound like a mother, just take the next step for safety: don't ride! Don't want to get hurt? Don't want any risk? Don't take part in a risky hobby!

Don't take the schooling, and also don't ride any bikes. Safety is our number one concern here and motorcycling is dangerous. Think of your mother, you could get into a crash ya know? Sell your bike and quit riding altogether, its the smart thing to do.

keep hearing about buells recently (in the UK)

are they actually good bikes?
was Mr. Davidstein a spiteful kike?
or were they shit and Mr. Harlenstein knew it wouldnt actually be a viable platform

TL;DW Buell was a really exciting new manufacturer with a lot of interesting ideas but ultimately were in the wrong place at the wrong time and generally weren't producing truly competitive motors either
but that's just my take from this video, this guy does some really great work on covering motorcycle history https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=op7dmSRUZA0

longboard speed vs bike speed
longboard fall (10cm) vs bike fall (2-3 feet)
longboard momentum vs bike momentum
longboard traffic (0) vs bike traffic (usually a full road)
longboard direction of fall (down) vs bike direction (forward)

I've heard most of them were pretty bad, too much different for the sake of being different. People were more enamored with the unrealized potential than the actual product.

To be honest no one bought buells because they were competitive but because they were unique and they liked them.
It was never a mass appeal brand which was it's undoing, sadly.

and theres been a few posts recently, one anons brother bought a blast(?)
looked them up on a national search and theres only 8 for sale in the UK (on the biggest bike platform)
it seems like such an odd concept for a bike, just unsure if harley wanted to kill them or keep them as a secret weapon, but erik buell is like 75 now, so i doubt we actually see a resurgence from him as an actual independent now

Do you guys ever imagine how badass you look while riding your motorcycle? I was zipping down this hilly interstate at 85mph and this farty minivan full of teenage girls drove alongside me and I noticed them look to the side, seemingly at me and then smile with each other. I had a hot skater boy outfit with an open flannel swaying in the wind, converse, black jeans, and I was wearing my modular helmet without the chin guard so you could see my strong chin. I imagine they thought I was hot especially seeing my ride my sportsbike with precision and skill. I wasn't comfortable having that shitty minivan match my speed so I side eyed them (often considered alluring) and then sped up to 100 until I lost them. Ended up being a highway patrol just a few hundred feet away but thankfully he knew he couldn't fuck with my CBR650

She sent a mass email out about motorcycle parking at 7:30pm at night once, does she simply have no life? What being a childless ugly fat hag at 40+ does to a woman.

>my 'ku right into the courthouse if it werent suspended 5 stories above street level
I'm guessing they do the same here and charge you like $200 a day while its impounded, or have they straight up taken it for auction? Here they charge you for "stunting", impound you for like 2 months, and afterwards hand you a ticket thats like $10000 total. Better to risk the run than let these evil cunts do their "do ya know what I'm pullin ya over for son?" charade after jacking off in their car for 30 minutes.

>to shoom and jannids fuck off
Personally I don't even want to get a liter bike, but its the only option if you want to be free, the piggies and normalfags force you to get some hellish squid rocket that no one can utilize properly and run no plates if you want to remain a free man.

I'm going to get my GIXXER THOU and turn it naked breh, I'm going to one day put a turbo in it too, and I'm going to get to 200mph on a naked bike. It will happen, and there shall be no plates except one that says "NOT STOPPING".

So anons can I ride this and should I ride this anyways. I want to go back to commuting to work on my rebel300 and the rear tire while cracked is still better off that the front I just replaced. These were the oem tires from when the bike was new in 2018. So the tire in the rear looked to be from 07-16 though.
Should I ride without my registration tags still not in(already paid) and the cracked rear for a month? I am trying my best to keep my budget sane. Tires cost like 200-500 on this to install.

>does she simply have no life?
Women managers are simply incapable of having any power at all. This is their life and exactly how they view themselves. They are incapable of using any kind of authority for good.

If it makes you feel better, you're probably not being singled out. She is a PITA for every single person who has the misfortune of dealing with her. Waving her arms and screaming at every sleight, perceived or otherwise. Because this is just what they do in managerial positions. They have no chill, viewing all power as being something to exercise indiscriminately against everyone for a multitude of shortcomings in their lives.

t. had multiple women managers absolutely sink professional departments and tank productivity. Resulting in the whole department being restructured just to get rid of them specifically without catching a billion discrimination and sexual harassment lawsuits.

you can ride it but don't push too hard and keep in mind it has degraded even if you don't notice it
if you change it you will have much better traction, considering not only the age of the tires but also the fact they are oem (lower grade)

I already noticed that with the front replacement. I never really realized that you aren't supposed to feel every bump in the road and s curves aren't supposed to cause me to need to counter lean hard on the second corner. The front was just under steering bad.

Ye but you need the killer instinct Shoom, like ya shoulda just turned around and drove into oncoming traffic UNIRONICALLY. I have ran from the police on foot before many years ago, hid behind a shed after blitzing over blocks worth of fences better than an olympic track star. You have to do something that'll throw them off, no piggie is willing to drive into oncoming traffic, he isn't going to risk his life for it. Once you break line of sight you are free to do anything, hide, change direction, zig zag, go straight home, they don't know shit anymore.

The funniest part about that chase was that I shit you not, the piggie was a straight up cartoon character walking up behind me with a newpaper out like he wasn't the most SUSSY motherfucker you've ever laid eyes JEJ. Like yeah right breh, I'm totally going to believe some unrelated guy is just walking around with the newpaper out as if its the 1950s.

It's entirely because of nepotism. Indians/spics enter a company and it stops being a company, it instead becomes a baby sitting position for their worthless friends and family who couldn't cut it in their home countries. That's why Ubereats is basically going down the shitter with drivers who can't speak English or read a map or street signs asking more than taxi drivers to deliver food, but never bothering hiring people who can for lower rates.

At this point you need to start shopping around instead of hoping uberjeets or jeetdash return your calls. Find a pizza place who may want a driver like dominoes, since they can't fudge their numbers about how many illegals they hire due to having physical locations

it's human traffic, most do whatever they are told to do be it deliver food, drive a taxi, sell kebab, work in farms or stand in a fake souvenir shop all day

He is demonically possessed. Apart from his riding style that is likely to kill him he keeps refering to himself in the plural. Good at wheelies. Bad overall.

I can't decide which would be the more sensible option for getting this tire changed.
I can't decide if I should try the cycle gear method and just buy a rear lift for the bike to keep it in the apartment parking lot while I drive there or if I should just buy tire changing equipment and do it in the apartment parking lot while its on car jacks. Both cost about the same but what do you guys think?

This is why people warn so much about intersections and areas people are turning out of.
>>
>>28645306
Riding on 35mph backroads genuinely feels more dangerous than 75mph interstates to me because there's always a bunch of intersected roads where people don't even stop at the sign before exiting. I ate shit my first time riding on a 150cc dirt bike because I was going 30mph down this side road and this piece of shit in an SUV comes speeding down a side side road without stopping at the sign. I slammed the brakes and locked both wheels and slid on my chest and had skin grinded off my torso

so he was right
it was a car that wasnt safe

How many miles would you guys consider to be worth the money for a bike? 10-15k miles? Price is 3k.

I'm the one who said falling is a required part of learning the limits of a bike in the last thread, here's the thing, falling isn't exactly a required experience to learning the limits but if you don't fall then at least you need to experience that "oh shit" moment of hitting the limit, even if you recover from it, you need to have that moment of self realization of where you identify your mistakes and figure how you will improve. This is a fundamental part of riding to be better
>it's not about how we fall but how we get back up
Additionally
>there's no shame in falling, is a right of passage, the only shame is quitting
>>
>>28644381
>>28645465
One more thing, this only applies if you're pushing the limits of you and your bike. If you operate within safe limits, the real danger is idiots in cars

>>28644980
those branches falling at that exact moment, thats a one in a million

>>28645299
He was right, the dual sport wasn't the dangerous thing, the riding in traffic was the dangerous thing. But you can't avoid every accident in traffic.

I'm the one that keeps hammering on about drills and this is true, but that's why you do the drills in the first place: so you can experience that "oh shit" moment in a parking lot or on a track, a controlled environment, instead of out in traffic where most people end up actually experiencing it and then it becomes a coin toss if it means life or dismemberment.

Agreed. I do not tolerate vacuum petcocks on my motorcycles. They're easy to replace.

Vacuum fuel pumps are cheap and plentiful, and get used on bikes with tank locations not suited to gravity fuel delivery.

Image search "motorcycle vacuum fuel pump". There is enough variety you should be able to find one to suit your use case. Some have diaphragm housings which can be switched to different clock positions. The Mikuni pumps are long proven, rebuildable and cheap.

See Eghey for the best pics of such things. I would not buy other brands cheaper sealed units because ability to split those pumps for troubleshooting and repair is a very useful option.

^Wisdom. Prior MSF Instructor (which is large fun) here. Ordinary riding time isn't the same as training time.
