Why are we still pretending like China isn't a more developed country than our own?
>>
>>28662817
Because they have zero fucking standards. They'll do that kind of work for the Chinese government because they will kill them if it's sub-par. It took many years of bridge collapses and multiple CEOs and their families disappearing for that problem to be solved.

You buying a cheap bike in America made to undercut Japanese bikes don't command that kind of authority or respect. In China, respect is directly related to how likely you are to kill them.

Based, compare that to the US where they put women in charge of bridges and then have the collapsed bridge kill innocent people.

We should be happy the Chinese are making better bikes, the Nips have been asleep for 20 years, and European brands don't make low CC bikes, and if they do, they export it off to India anyways like KTM and Aprillia.
>>
I will say China does get one thing right in that they'll actually punish people for making sub-par work for them. Everywhere else they just shrug and say "That's capitalism" and then continue to get scammed again and again.

That's why the US Government still levies protection on Harley Davidson despite getting scammed by them for the fifth or sixth time.
>>
>>28662836
I'm one to agree that companies should face physical and corporeal repercussions for degrading the industry they work in. Aforementioned Harley Davidson example being one such case, in which no chinese CEO would dare take Government money and then immediately shut down domestic factories to move them overseas like every single western motorcycle company or just automotive company in general has done.

That said, I don't want to be the one that takes a chance on a parallel twin CFMoto, a concept they copied from Honda engines in the 80s, and be the one getting screwed because their manufacturing is still in its infancy compared to Japan. Why buy Honda-clones when I can buy Honder?

Because its cheaper, comes with stuff like ABS for free, and probably has the same quality. Nips started out by just copying everything European/American, China is the same. We are right about at the point where China is about to swallow every single industry there is because the nips are dying and western society has failed after being picked apart by certain vultures.

Honda is only dependable because everything they sell is underpowered compared to others for the same price. Like yeah sure, if you make the slowest 600, the slowest 1k, the slowest 300, then yeah I sure hope its at least more reliable.

>Honda is only dependable because everything they sell is underpowered compared to others for the same price.
Anon, those chinese bikes you praise? They all copy Honda engines from Honda expired patents because even they realize that they prioritize reliability over power. So if something is slightly out of spec by even a fraction of a mm, it doesn't instantly destroy the engine like a Rotax clone or a BMW would and has done in the past.
They also own the market on larger motors that make more power with higher service intervals. The Africa Twin has been unmatched for 40 years for this reason.

I think you just hate Japanese Bikes irrationally.

I was wearing plain dress pants, jacket, gloves, ankle high shoes and helmet.
Got sideswiped by a truck on my way in to work about two months ago.
Thought I had avoided it by swerving into the shoulder, forgot I had panniers which caught on the truck's bumper and sent me flying separate from the bike.
Did a 50/50 grind with my left thigh on the jersey barrier, hit a mile marker with my foot, and touched down beyblading on my ass on the other side of the freeway. Broken tib-fib + degloving on left leg, broken right ankle, broken (nearly torn) pinky finger right. And road rash that was perhaps the most debilitating thing after the bones were put back together. They had to graft from my right buttcheek onto my left cheek and now my ass has an identity crisis. It delayed PT.
All of my notable injuries save for the ankle where above the boot and below the waist.

Hmmm, maybe because 45 year old vehicles are not new and will have broken parts you probably can't even find anymore, and have untold amounts of issues just stemming from being on the planet for that long.

Thisis all falling under the 4cuck.org tier argument that modern CFmoto is just an 80's Honda, which is delusional, 450ss would obliterate any similar sized parallel twin honda from the 80's. Its time to stop the cope.

Yeah the sr400 is just a simple thumper. The tu250x weighs 325lbs, the gb350 is 399 and the bullet 350 is 430. They are too heavy and not much faster.

On paper the perfect bike is the CB300R, since it weighs only 315 pounds and yet has double more horsepower than all of them. But it just doesn't have that classic style. Maybe I'll put a CB300R engine swap into my tu250x

The tu250x only makes 16 horsepower and it can't really be upgraded much. The bottleneck is the fact that it has only two valves and a very narrow throttle body so even with an open intake and exhaust you don't get much more power. There was a guy on the forums who did basically everything you could possibly do to get more power out including swapping a throttle body and carb from a bigger bike and barely got any improvement. And at the end it just cut his fuel mileage in half.

Alright im thinking of buying a naked, im kinda tired of the sporty seating.
Give to me straight, between the mt09, z900, sreippe triple R or hornet 1k whata the best choice?
My first inclination is the mt09. Problem with it is that the exhaust looks absolutely abysmal, so I'd have to change it but they cost a fucking ton of money (2k€) so that immediately makes it the most expensive.
The hornet is not too expensive but its a heavy motherfucker. The exhausts for it are cheap tho, 500€. And its the cheapest overall. Another negative is it has the list tech, no corner abs and no cruise control.
The z900 is great on spec but its sorta fugly imo. Its also the second cheapest and it comes with excellent equipment as standard.
The triumph is the oldest bike of the bunch and I dont really trust the brand since I never had one. It does look good though, and its also the lightest.
What do you think?

I'm not a china lover but i really think you guys have no fucking idea how much china has advanced in the past 20 years.

At the end of 2024, there were about 48,000 kilometers (29,826 miles) of high-speed rail lines in service. In the US doesn't even exist.
arterial highways, expressways, and local roads. By 2024, the network encompasses over 1.9 million kilometers of highways. Reminder that 20 years ago they had almost nothing.
They have more bridges than anyone else, including the tallest bridge in the world, the longest bridge in the world, and bridges that go over entire mountain ranges.
Where you like it or not china will overtake the US in every single metric extremely soon if not already in many things and there is nothing you can do to stop it

It's funny because we've spent the same exact money for high-speed rail in several US states alone, and each and every time Politicians and Contractors steal it. Every time. Recently, within the last 5 years, Florida spent somewhere in the range of $2Billion + $550 million for a high speed train project between Tampa and Miami and discontinued it, dismantling it completely, because contractors and politicians kept stealing from it and cutting back on safety features until it became the most deadly railway system in America (purely for pedestrians, things like fences, walls, roads, signals were all cut).

All the more reason there need to be real punishments for corruption.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRFFF DUUUUUURF IM A FUCKING RETARD

your entire argument falls apart here, because human are not cargo
economies of scale does not work on humans as cargo
i can fly from london to new york in the same time it takes a train to go 2 cities over
this is great if youre a shipping container, being moved 1000s at a time
this is terrible if you are a human being moved 100 at a time and all have different destinations
not to mention, america actually has by far more miles of rail than any other country in the world, its just used for cargo, not humans
but americans arent FUCKING POOR so flying is quicker, cheaper and easier
imagine willingly sitting in a tube with a chink for 6 hours instead of 2

and lets not even get into the absolute state of chinese construction projects

Yeah that's my point, China gets a cheat code for corruption because if they catch a Lockheed or a Rockefeller outright stealing from one of these public projects they have carte-blanche to just take them out back and shoot them. No trials, no hearings, no 300+ congressmen, board members, and congressional committees asking themselves if it's really "Okay" to send someone to jail for less time than it took for them to get together and talk about it for stealing hundreds of millions from infrastructure projects that would help hundreds of thousands of people.

Nope, in China if they're caught doing that, Pooh bear gives the word, and they're shot the same day. While it's great having freedom and all, criminals get the most freedom of them all in a systems like ours, and is there really any freedom at being in the mercy of white-collar criminals protected by red tape?

>you sit on your 8 hour train to visit PangPangXiaoBingFao (200x10,000 person skyscrapers, Population: 17)
NTA that's a good thing.
Most people on our public roads shouldn't be driving. They should be taking some form of public transportation because the vast, vast, vast majority of drivers are only doing it because they have no other choice to get around. In a functional system, anybody should be able to take any train, bus, or public tram line to any place they need to be if needed.

Because less cagies on the road = more funtime for us bikers and less urban tanks driving around making Gixxerbrahs out of us all. I genuinely want to road trip in Japan for this reason alone

I mean sure, it has its own form of corruption.
But what you just mentioned affects 50,000 people. Even in your hypothetical. The high speed rail projects falling flat and being robbed affect literally millions of people. Those are millions of people who can't just hop on a train and be at work in ten minutes, but instead have to fight with you for road space for three hours on the freeway.

Neither is good but it would be nice to have someone with a button who can just murder a CEO at will when it becomes clear they're just there to steal from everyone.

It's actually insane how much better the E2 ZX9R is VS the E1.
New frame, New engine, better transmission entirely, lighter, faster, nimble as fuck, simple as fuck, stupid easy to work on, dirtbike experience fueling, it's just a sovlful lil reptilian hunting down bikes long after it's heyday

You do know YAMAHA, as in the actual manufacturer are the people supplying and modifying these bikes right? No bike in WSBK is stock, they have almost no relation to stock bikes besides some models that are regulated to be """fair""". Basically depending on how much manufactures pay off the organizers.

>>28663294

How much delusion can one brand have?

I guess Ducati suddenly have the best bikes now over Honda that they have Marq, top kek.

Nope, a2 limit is 48hp and at max you‘re allowed to reduce power by 50% to meet that. So the unrestricted maximum a bike can be to qualify for a2 restriction would be 96hp.
Thats why you can find (in the eu) the Aprilia rs660 being offered with 96/48hp or 100hp separately. Even though they‘re the exact same bike, a 660 sold with 100hp can never be restricted to a2, while a bike sold with 96hp can. Based on the pink slip saying 100hp or 96hp and nothing else.

The K1 Gixxer 750 was about the same era and a lot lighter.

The weight was always the main problem of the 9R and why people considered it more of a Sports-tourer than a real Supersport.

No shit a 750 is lighter it's a smaller fucking engine you Muppet. You are also wrong on its classification, the zx9r, the gsxr, and the fireblade of the era were all open class sport bikes. Some claimed the zx9r could be used for touring solely because it had the most comfortable riding position triangle of the batch and a bigger fuel tank. That's literally it. It's by no stretch of the imagination a sport tourer. It's not a heavy bike AT ALL.

just remember to size up with your casual leather jacket or it'll be too tight.

i've never understood the concept of waterproof base layers because your clothes will still get wet. it's the outer layer that needs to be waterproof.

The drug use got worse in my 30’s, and I accepted that I’m not human anymore. I never touched vehicles until just last year.

Fuck being human. Do you think people who experienced WWI or WWII were healthy mentally people? Motorcycling got big because a bunch of mentally ruined war veterans who destroyed their dopamine receptors with meth came home and we’re looking for a rush. A car or motorcycle feels like a robot. You put it in gear, let off the brake or clutch, and it goes all on its own.

I don’t understand how to be a human. The way your reality and your fantasy mingles, and the way you ground your fantasy in social limitations. Your reality becomes muddied in delusions that start as jokes to brake the ice, and your fantasies never become the kind of raging fire that outshines reality. Without the ability to outshine reality with your fantasy, you’re limited by your current reality.

What is the next stage of evolution? It is the merging of drug using NEET Nazis and their machines. This echoes futurism, where the defacement and devaluation of human emotions is considered a virtue.

The vehicle becomes a way for the dehumanized to externalize themselves. An outlet for behaviors and emotions that nature designed to be expressed towards other humans. But, the dehumanized 30 year olds of today have lost the ability to bridge the gap between minds. They are alone, yet still part of a natural process which is connected and communicative. The ultimate cuck, because he will toil his whole life to maintain a community he is subject to but can never be a part of.

This was not a mistake of our own, but the design of Gaia.
