So I went to the ENT doctor yesterday and that roastie told me tinnitus is normal after riding even with earplugs. and she's a rider herself too. she also told me tinnitus is not an indication of hearing damage. I did a hearing test as well and she said it was fine.is she lying? how many of you got tinnitus, even if it is mild?

>>28705112Rotor eating isn't what I'd really be concerned about when you can find cheap rotors that are close enough to oem spec these days, the real problem with running HH/metallic pads is maintaining brake temperature. These pads are great if your environment has a lot of braking to keep them warm enough to feel nice but when they're cold, they perform like garbage, grabby and little modulation before lockup, not to mention noisy and gritty feeling, until they're warm. For every day riding even semi-metallic might be too aggressive but are a better option if you want better longevity than organic pads but honestly I prefer organic pads because their softness provide a lot of modulation before lockup
