It's why I've never bought an S197 Mustang, despite really loving the exterior styling and exhaust note; the interior quality is so terrible that it puts me off them completely. It just feels like sitting in a nice sounding Fiesta, and it completely destroys the "special-ness" of it for me. It's generally a caveat of modern plastic-y stuff, though. Classic cars get away with have "bad" interiors just by virtue of being old, and in some way, even the cheap stuff shit feels pretty well put together thanks to things like metal handles, door pulls, and dashboards, but modern stuff just feels shit thanks to the copious amount of cheap nasty plastic that you're forced to interact with.
