My front forks are different lengths, as far as I can tell because of the pinch bolt on one side of the axle. So, the front stand I have is a bitch to get seated properly, up until now I've just been getting by with the center stand. Just gotta get the front wheel off and get the tire changed, no other work needed on the bike but might be on the stands for up to 24hrs. If you were in my situation, would you just stuff some rags under the other side of the fork to even things out or get one of those stands that go under the triple tree? Any other suggestions?
It's going to be okay after all. I was about to kill myself when it fell off the stand but I was able to fix everything with only one visible cosmetic flaw that's barely noticeable.
