My Sprint was fuel injected and the FI system was a bit iffy, it didn't want to trim itself really and it had issues getting off the line, bogging down if you cranked it under 3k rpm. Stuck a power commander to it and a shop tuned it, ran like a dream after that. I would've preferred carbs desu because at least I know my way around them.

Are fuel stabilizers actually worth it or should I just siphon the fuel? I won't be able to ride my baiku for the next 2-3 months and I already have ~1,5 month old fuel there.

Anyone have experience with the FTR1200? I'm looking at a leftover new 2024 base model my local dealer has.I dont like ipad screens so losing the tech is ok with me, only thing i dont like is the lack of storage. Also fuel economy looks like ass, but i still got more mpg on my Versys x300 (85-92mpg) than other forum users did (65-70mpg).I think another anon on here had a ftrAnyways Merry Christmas and ride safe bros.

You probably cant get much more power out of it even with cams. Only thing i can think of is messing with the lifters to increase compression and better flowing exhaust/intake.I have read about their cold start issues, but i think manufacturers cheap out on factory batteries. It's a comfy bike, and the new blackout engines look really good and not plasticky, just wish they did something with the other side.I would like to make something mine, but at the same time its an investment, nightster is not a sporster and has little aftermarket support.
