>>28786065Adv's are the modern cruiser though.

Bros im looking at cruiser bikes, and am trying to decide between a triumph tiger sport, and a fatboy. What are the pros and cons of each?A wildcard option could be a bmw gsor a dyna
>>28786124Cruise in style on a Yamaha.
>>28786129I like the look of the fatboy, but the sporty ground clearance and attitude of the tiger. The dyna is the classic bad boy harley though, and the gs is the lego bike. What about a multistrada?
Hey guys i'm going to pass by the local Indian dealer tommorow to look at a leftover Indian FTR, i was wondering if anyone has negotiation experience with leftover floor models. They have it listed for $8999.00, it is a base model MY-2024, price is with manufacturers incentives + dealer incentive. 1.99% financing 36 months also combines with the discount. My question is what fees can i expect from them? It seems Indian leaves this up to the dealer. Dealer is throwing in an eFTR JR with purchase, but i have no need for it. ( i feel like they will tack it onto the dest, prep and doc fees). Also, i found out Indian is getting sold to a private equity company. How many years before they go into the dumpster and get bought out by Harley?
>>28786149Are indian the remington of motorcycles?
I want a Road King, but I don't have room. :(/marketplace/item/1532445531323791>>28786124I don't mean to muddy the waters, but consider a road king. Unless it's purely about looks, everyone says that the Road King is the same but better. I say this as someone who does NOT own a Road King. The Fat Boy is super cool, however.
>>28786083
>>28786159It seems to be heading that way unfortunately. Also why did the schizos make so many threads?
>>28786179They literaly are though
>>28786124Harley life best life
>>28786149Indian is pretty trash. I wouldn't suggest owning one.
>>28786168>>28786210Thanks for the advice anons, is there no love for the adventure bike style cruisers?
>>28786220Yes
>>28786220I don't know anything about the tiger, but I think a /dbt/ anon has one. I'm not sure which thread he's in. Honestly if I were cross shopping the two, the triumph would make more sense, but I want the Harley more. It's a tough one.
>>28786212Are they that bad in terms of reliability? I was looking at the oil, and they use 15w60, that is some thick stuff, and the ftr runs a 12:5:1 compression ratio which leaves very little room for tuning and is a high stress motor. No wonder the mpg is trash.I always wanted the old model scouts but got turned off because of no fuel gauge and it sits really low.I was cross shopping with a nightster 975. Ftr is more my style though, id make the nightster look similar to the ftr.>>28786227>>28786220Panam looks soo good in person.Tiger sport looks pretty cool as well.>>28786230Triumph software locks certain maintenance, harley would less hassle if you work on your own bike.
>>28786277Ive had two Indians. Both had issues, second one was bad. Dealership let me down constantly. Few other odds n ends. But I wouldn't go back to umBut yeah, the PanAm is great. Love the engine on it
Is Revmax the undisputed Vtwin king right now? Panams, sporster S, nightsters making insane hp and tq off a few simple mods.Even liquid cooled M8's are keeping up with clapped out sportbikes.>>28786304Thanks, i'll keep that in mind, i have a feeling they dont sell because indian dealers probably tack on $2k in extra fees. Then again the FTR has issues, from low mpg to small tank, no centerstand or bag support unless aftermarket, shitty battery that causes poor cold starts etc.And indian is going to be liquidated in 5 years too...Pic related was another anons indian i believe.
>>28786349I was excited about the ftr when it was first announced. But the final product left me pretty unhappy. I test rode um at daytona and was not impressed. There's a reason they didn't sell very well.I feel Indian would've done much better if the price point was lower. There's no reason it should cost as much, usually more, than harley. They're too boutique for that. Especially when they're lacking in so many areas. Best thing i feel Indian did was motivate harley to step their game up
>>28786210urrr the best life
>>28786353i was at that specific dealer during the summer and he flat out told me "don't buy new Indian Scouts. They priced them too high and they dont send any base models anymore. The cheapest scout we have is $14k and base models end up going $16k+ out the door, get a used one."They never released Cafe and Adventure models either.Unfortunately i was working during the demo week Indian had over the summer so i never got a chance to ride one, but i think Indian did motivate Harley to an extent. But indian messed up with removing highside exhaust, fuel tank, Pricing, and tuning issuesTo me Indian is Harley-lite tier now.
>>28786372The exhaust is wonky. But its a pretty cool bike i absolutely would've DD.>>28786379I have my days :/ I'll be more excited when I get back on my new hawg BROTHER>>28786386Nah. Harley has treated me so much better in every way. Product has been better, dealership experience has been league's better, more piece of mind while on long trips, and more.No reason a scout is over 11k max. I like the engine but did not enjoy riding it. Id honestly rather have the sportster 1200. Better to customize and league's more comfort. But too each their own ya know. I had bad dealings with Indian. So I wont own another one personally.
What's a good used Harley to look for if you want a good example of the brand without spending a shitload of money? I inexplicably find myself wanting a cruiser.
>>28786518Sportster 883 or 1200Depends whats cheap in your area
