They are not good enough. Get a ECE 22.06 helmet you stupid mong. Also consider Scorpion and Icon. LS2 is also really good. But try them on before buying.
>>
>>28896394
I'm not in the market, I'm just learning about ruroc for the first time. I saw ruroc had some ece 22.06 compliant helmets, but chinks gonna chink when it comes to consistency.
My first full face was a Sparx because I didn't know any better, and rueoc seems to have the same MO, which is why I made the comparison.
>>
>>28896407
>but chinks gonna chink when it comes to consistency
Not LS2, they are the real deal. If you have long oval and can't pay for ARAI, they are the only choice. But if you have a round oval, just get HJC or KYT.

Today, I learned a bit about God's gift to flat pack racing in the 70s/80s that was the XS650/xs2b chassis/engine. While I understand that the the t7/cp2 is arguably one of the greatest twin cylinder adv combos to grace modern adv bikes, I'm trying to find an older used model that isn't fucking $6-7k used. What should I be looking for in the late 90s/00s that was the closest successor to the xs650?

look too weird
especially if they are alone by themselves with no side boxes
side bags/boxes are the most I would ever do.

i would just tie a duffel bag lengthwise, from the top box mount to the passenger seat. unless you have a pillion then idk what to do

The clutch is soft too and its pretty light feeling/comfy.

The 2025+ special models dont have dual analog anymore just chrome.

Nah he could live in America. Here, we seem to despise sidewalks and pedestrian traffic. There's a road next to mine that would make a fantastic shortcut to a bike trail that would make getting to work a 10 minute bikeride. Instead it looks like this, actually- this example picture is more accommodating than the real thing. It literally doesn't even have a shoulder. It's white line and then the grass of people's lawns, it doesn't even have one for a couple of bridges. This is a recent road that gets regularly paved, and not even some backwater stroad in the middle of nowhere.

The danger of a 600 and a 1000 is their non-linear delivery power, it's nothing under 7k and above that it gives everything, making the throttle unpredictable and twitchy. The 1800cc cruiser has a nice and flat power curve with a predictable throttle but their 700-800lb curb weight is the difficult part to handle.

>non linear power delivery is based off... displacement?
You're mistaken. Power delivery is based of engine configuration and gearing not displacement.

>>28898455
Crusiers have less room for error because they ride way lower and weigh more than sport bikes. The 1800cc twin may not have a lot of horses but the torque is where it'll get you if you're a scrub who cant control the friction zone of the clutch.

You're right but I was generalizing the differences between crotch rockets and cruisers and which I'm still right
>>
>>28898485
I reject your watered down framing
Not all Sport bike power delivery is some unpredictable monster that'll buck you off at every chance it gets. Very few are like that. Of those few bikes they have inline 4 engines.

If you think ALL sport bikes are as you say, then I'd happily wager you have bad throttle control.

I didn't say all superbikes, I said 600s and 1000s which are specifically those peaky bikes. If you want to argue then you're the wrong one when you said >>28898479
>Crusiers have less room for error
Cruisers have more room for error because their geometry reacts slower and their heavy curb weight gives a traction bonus where crotch rockets will want to high side you if you twitch too hard

"600s and 1000s are peaky"
You're just wrong dude qnd if you continue to refuse to acknowledge that "peaky-ness" is associated with displacement alone then you're not worth entertaining a discussion with.

Inline 4 600/1000s can be peaky

But sport bikes with Twins, V4s, Piss twins, UJM inline 6, all of those are smooth unleess geared otherwise or mated to a shitty chassis (00' yamaha R1 is a perfect example of a wildly unpredictable and peaky bike and a same year honda blackbird is smooth as silk with 0 of the issues you've insisted is common)

This is what having too much autism looks like. Do you think I don't understand the importance of engine configuration? Even then power delivery isn't about engine configuration either, there's peaky twins like the rc51. You're having an autism melty over being specifically correct despite going outside the scope of the conversation. We're talking specifically about 600s and 1000s, supersports and superbikes, not mild detuned versions of them, so cool you /o/tism and trying to look more right makes you look more dumb instead, arguing for the sake of arguing despite both of us being technically correct, fucking artists i swear

Hell fucking yeah the m109 is sick. It's an "old world" bike that is still sold today. Its design is from the 00s, it was fairly advanced for a cruiser of its time when first released so by modern standards it aged well.

On closer inspection, that seems to be one of those cuck countries that doesn't let you pump your own gas. So when the attendant went to clear the cone from that guy's fender, the person he was supposed to be tending to saw him walk off and assumed the pump handle was out of the car.

A comical series of misunderstandings.

>None of the imported Shoei or Arai helmets are FIM homologated
None of them are even ECE 22.06 compliant. Shoei and Arai literally made dedicated, less safe helmet lines for the US market to save money. Harder shells and stiffer foam to pinch a few pennies on production costs while still selling them like they're the actually safe ones they offer in elsewhere. Doesn't even make any fucking sense since any 22.06 helmet is automatically meets DOT since FMVS no. 218 is a joke of a standard. All it would cost them is a different decal/sticker on the back of the helmet, but instead they decided to gouge you. The US also bans the simple import of non-DOT helmets, so nobody is willing to ship one over there and insurance companies will fuck you if the cop taking the accident report doesn't report a DOT helmet.

Shuberth also does this shit.

>he used to be bosozoku back in the day
>we road about halfway to Akita before my radiator started leaking
>we had to stop
>Karl “Oh man, looks how are we going to fix this?”
>”It’ll work out. Well think of something.”
>honestly, I didn’t know how this was going to work out
>then I notice in a window of a nearby home a box fan
>”I have an idea”
>long story short I traded an old man Mr. Yamamoto’s bento for a box fan
>using my toolbox I was able to rig the fan to the alternator, making a makeshift cooling system
>we then ride the rest of the way to Akita where we rest and share the 2 remaining bento from Mr. Yamamoto
>there we were able to patch the hole in the radiator
>we couldn’t find any coolant so we did the next best thing
>squeezing fresh ripe mango juice we filled the radiator with some extra mangos
>it worked
>we decided to keep the fan strapped for extra cooling
>we made it home in time for the camp fire
>Mr.Saito, Mr. Yamamoto, and the rest of the ramen noodle shop owners showed up too
>Mr. Yamamoto “Anon and friends, how did you enjoy the bento?”
>we loved it- although I had to trade mine because for an emergency situation
>I explained the situation
>a sad look came over his face..
>though he said he understood, and he would do the same thing if he were me
>”well anon and friends, I’m just so glad you all made it back safe”
>we then sat by the fire and drank fresh, ripe mango Juice with melons, and curry
>it was a good day
