who is crashing into the handlebars and staying there. any accident sends you flying off the bike, wtf is the point of an airbag. someone pls explain

Tires at the shop
All the trim I wanted ordered(original 750 stuff)
All the running gear shit ordered(brakes, clutch, whatnot)
Oil changed
Getting tank ready for paint
Shit, quick and easy for under 1200. Guess Ill polish the chrome and paint the tank while I wait for all the parts to come in.
Should...I also order a chain?
>>
>>28907672
Motorcyclist is unsecured, this in a front end collision you will fly forward and like impact the bars. An airbag can deploy and slow or potentially block you from being throw from your bars and the design of that particular bike has a front that will take the abuse and side flares to keep you from being the first thing to hit the pavement. Not sure if it actually works that well, but I can see the reasoning. Seems like an airbag vest is better tho

nice honder you go there, picrel was my first bike
what color trim are you going with
>>
>>28907676
>you will fly forward and like impact the bars.
idk i feel like any impact strong enough to deploy this, is strong enough to separate you from the bike completely
>>
>>28907673
you went this far already
might as well get a color chain to accent the fresh build
>>
>>28907678
Thanks!
The side panels I bought from Ebay are red, so I guess that. I'm not much the painter, but its bright enough I can hide my imperfections.
Still no clue on how to ride the thing. May just sell it to a friend or my dad once its done.
>>28907683
They have colored chains? Seems tacky. I am getting done making this thing not white trash.

>>28907680

I have access. She can ride my dih and my scoot.
>>
>>28907672
I guess hitting an airbag and then hitting the road beats hitting the handlebars and then hitting the road.
Do they deploy faster than airbag vests? If so could be good in tandem, otherwise might as well just skip it and wear the vest.

thats funny, i bought mine before i knew how to ride
it was my boss' bike, he let rot away in a shipping container behind our work. i was bored one day, and decided to pull it out and look at it. i bought it from him soon after that
its not the best first bike, very heavy, i dropped it a lot. but i miss it

Any helmet recommendations for a four-eyes? I want one that is big enough in the front that it's not a pain in the ass to have on with glasses

>>
>>28907672
Airbags work as vests. It works in motogp, it works for me. Not this lame ass handlebar one though.
>>
>>28907714
Nearly any helmet I've ever tried on has those little cutouts in the foam for the temple pieces of your frames to rest inside. If your nose isn't being squished, your frames should be fine too.
>>
>>28907714
Lot of helmets have provision for glasses. I've personally seen it on KYT and LS2s. I'm sure others have it too. I don't remember if HJCs have it. I'd be more concerned about head shape. Go to a shop and try it on.
>>
>>28907714
My lane spliter feels fine with glasses. My modulars are better for glasses though.

>>
>>28907714
ive never had a problem with wearing glasses on any of my helmets
even a small port its still easy to put the glasses on
buy a modular if you get annoyed easily and then you dont even need to doff your glasses when you don the helmet

Any advice? Fix it, sell it, and buy a modern 250 with ABS kek?
