my shitbike at laguna seca last year. I'm considering bobbing it out. Someone told me that removing the front fender might make it handle like shit because the fender might act like a brace for the forks like on harleys. Is this true? i had an appointment for 2pm and i still had to wait until 4pm to actually get called up. fucking unbelievable.

it was ridiculous. louisiana.
also they put the wrong address on my license. no clue how he did that because it should have been the same as my previous ID. god willing, i can call them and have them mail me a fixed one. i'm going to blow my brains out if i have to take a day off work to go to the DMV.

I've never had a motorcycle but would like to get into it. A buddy of mine just got into riding and being on the showroom floor with him inspired me to buy a bike too. its fine, little spicy but kids these days all start on 700-800cc bikes, simply because they never want (or afford) to swap again

so you have to try it out, it supposedly vibe like a vibrator at 100-120

I'm asking this again but which helmet should I buy for a first time beginner rider? something for daily riding
Also which brands are good and which ones I should avoid
>>

That's easy. All protection gear including helmets rated for the EU is good, you buy only these. The brand does not matter as long as it fits nicely and you like the looks.
>>
>>29024104
they bill insurance ridiculous prices because insurance ALWAYS negotiates the price down to like 50% of what the provider requests. self-pay would likely be billed 20-25% of that, with monthly payment plans. and you could probably ask for steeper discounts because if you dont pay them at all they sell the debt at 1% of the value for someone else to collect lol

What's your budget and what is your head shape? Is your head longer front to back? Is it round? If you are stacked, get Arai or Shoei. If you are poor, get HJC, LS2 or KYT. Anyway, look for ECE 22.06 rating, double d ring and the helmet should fit right. No hot spots, also it should fit snug. Do not buy helmet that doesn't fit.
>>
>>29024395

>>
>>29023930
Sorry your friend simulator isnt up to snuff, nobike. You should still kys.
>>
>>29024411
Head size is fine, you need head shape. I have a long oval head and lot of brands are loose at cheeks for me. Only LS2 fits. Arai makes for different head shapes. I wanted KYT or HJC, neither of those fit me.

KYT, HJC = intermediate oval
LS2 = Long oval.

Most helmet brands are intermediate oval because that's the shape of most people's heads.
>>
>>29024411
Big head is fine, they make helmets in S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL and many more sizes.

e-scooting experience report after a few days:
- range is not an issue, my butt gets sore sooner than the battery gets empty
- I'm always first from the stoplights
- I feel fresh after the ride
- my lower body stays dry in the rain
- this thing delivers FUN
- this thing tempts me to ride in sneakers and shorts
- I now notice how much bikes stink when I stop next to one at a traffic light
- I notice how much tarmac STINKS after the rain
- old men keep harassing me with "Wow, this thing is so unusual, is it electric? What's the range?"
Also, I didn't expect the croozing position to be that comfortable on bumpy roads. BMW made the suspension that lets you feel every crack, every seam on the road surface, but at the same time it swallows shocks instead of transferring them to my spine. Neat, can stretch my legs and relax.

If it's true that power of the H2 will drop from 231 to 200 hp because of emission standards, won't it be kinda pointless? This bike was all about being faster than more sensible literbikes like ZX-10R so if it's not, why not just buy a ZX-10R, Fireblade or whatever?

Trans Euro Trail:
>TET is an adventure motorcycle route through Europe consisting of approximately 100,000 kilometres (62,000 mi) of GPX tracks. The Trail contains all kinds of unpaved trails which are officially allowed according to the local laws and regulations of the relevant countries.
Before getting this scoot I was mostly looking at various ADV bikes and intended to explore "wilder" parts of yurop, until I realized how much I enjoy silence. So, change of plans, now I'll have to stick to exploring civilized parts.

Midrange is important too. Kawasaki have never chased peak HP which is why the the ZH2 makes 197 supercharged hp when Ducati & BMW are over 200 NA.
My only concern is that the ZH2 motor is less tunable than the H2 due to being a higher compression and less boosty build, making it much more expensive to get gains. If American motorvloggers can't flash tune +100hp in one vid it could be dead.

Okay Guys, my Hayabusa has a engine failure. Main bearings are shot and probably some more.
It's more or less a economic disaster if i get it fixed at a mechanic and i am (not yet) comfortable and capable of rebuilding an engine by myself.

Hear me out, what if.
i take the busa into my office and use it as homeoffice chair?
Taking work video calls while sitting on a Hayabusa sounds as legendary as the busa is.
1 to 10, best idea to full on psychopath whats your take on it?
>>

Engine swap, there should be plenty of crashed busas to swap an engine from. If you can't afford to do that, sell what is left of the bike and take the L. Don't let it sit for too long, its not going to be worth shit.

How scary are literbikes compared to cars that are usually considered scary, such as Viper or Porsche 930 turbo?
>>
>>29024503
More so
>>
>>29024503
I think liter bikes are safer than 600-750cc sport bikes. Two reasons:
- they pull much better on low RPM making you opening less throttle
- they generally feel intimidating and make the rider not scared but respecting the power a lot more than a 600cc which is getting full throttled at each teaffic light

Closer to Viper than 930 turbo, the power is predictable and immediate. After about a month it starts to feel normal, the warp zone blur effect stops happening, that's when you realize how scary having such power can be, when it stops being scary is when that power is irresponsibly abused, that's the scary part
>>29024514
This is also true, 600s have no balls down low which makes a rider chase RPMs for power and that on/off nature of a 600 is in some ways more dangerous
>>
Also, Viper and 930 turbo are quite slow compared to leaderbikes, R1 for example does 0-60 in 2.5s, 0-100 in 5s.

Yup. Smog shit goes right into the air box forcing oil/unburnt fuel into the combustion chamber.

Right now the bike in question got completely capped off by the previous owner. Meaning there is no crank case ventilation besides the smog line into the intake. The result: Burning oil like a motherfucker because the path of least resistance is the combustion chamber thru the intake. Not good!

When you have an airbag and proper leathers, arebt highsiding onto your knees or some weird shit, and dont have a machine clobbering you afterward, then yes track day has its safety parameters where if you meet the bar of crash enthusiasm and its expectations; you too can walk away with balls of steel and -10million racebike

Riding in the streets becomes more dangerous the instant you have 2 whols on public roads
Racing 250kph+ on a trqck is arguably safer, granted youre not a moron and or a nooblette on the isle of man etc.

Also has "Not a step back" on the other side.
It's the kind of mentality you need with these bikes and I don't mean you get shot by someone when it breaks down.
More like a "press forwards and never give up" type of mentality.

I ended up renting one of these on vacation a while back because the mt09 I wanted was already booked. I thought it was a great bike. Very easy to get along with and a lot of fun to drive in the mountains, has everything you need out of the box, and the build quality seemed decent. It’s basically an upgraded mt07.
I think if you actually take lessons before buying one it should be ok as a first bike. If not, I’d probably get a cheaper and lower power second hand bike first.

Called meat hook levers. Some old BMWs did those too along with some old brit bikes I think, they look fancy and are actually kinda nice to use, but they have a tendency of grinding themselves apart and being really finicky about cables.
The main issue is that you can't really adjust the cables from the lever end at all.

The H2R was always the real unlocked record holding bike. The H2 is for people that needed a plated bike. Or they want that sweet blow off valve sound. But the naturally aspirated bikes have been catching up to the H2 for awhile now. The new RSV4 is a monster. I hear the RSV4 making 220+ at the wheel with mods.
>>
>>29024455
>why not just buy a ZX-10R, Fireblade or whatever?
the benefits of a boosted bike with the same ratios as a naturally aspirated liter is you can just start off in 6th and you never have to shift. Its about as close as you can get to a e-bike without going full cocksucking no range no top end faggot.

Can't be proud of crappy copy of a German motorcycle, each part of the clone is badly manufactured and is either leaking or simply broken. I have no idea what the fuck this post is even trying to say. I live in America though and 250cc-400cc is usually what people start with otherwise you usually cannot even drive on the highway. There isn't really a driving school (in my state) there is a rider course you can take and all that does is make it so you don't have to wait to get your license and it's 2 weekend classes for like 2 hours total lol. After that you can literally ride whatever you want.

Are there any fun 50cc scooters for a beginner? Speed limit is 40mph here and I’d just be using it for 2 mile grocery runs.
YB-1 four / YB-50 look okish but they’re old. RX50 also looks cool and is manual so it won’t be totally boring.
>>
>>29025272
>it's 2 weekend classes for like 2 hours total
Can't give a reasonable beginner advise on this basis. At places where government cares about motorcyclist deaths they conduct researches and define what are good beginner bikes on that basis. If you are a teenager you buy 125cc max, if you are a high-schooler you buy around 500cc (based on power, not displacement, but it's around this), if you are an adult you buy 650-700cc as your first bike. Apart from that a sportbike made for track is always a bad bike for street use and is simply laughable.
>>
>>29025286
>>29025285
So here it’s 50cc for mopeds (highschoolers and grannies mostly) but they just upped the limit to 125cc if it’s HP limited to like 5 HP.
>>
>>29025286

I hate saying this but you might as well just get an e-bike
or 120-300cc scoot/maxi/dirt/underbone bike instead
t.owner of 50cc moped and 50cc dirtbike

Why doesn't anybody want to buy my hawg? The Internet told me 30% of riders love them.

Just keep asking for msrp + tip even though it was your clutchless shifting learner bike that pops out of gear and has a neutral between every gear.
>>
>>29025369
>and has a neutral between every gear
Ouch this one hits too close to home.
>>
>>29025370
Yea, I know what you wrenchlets are up to.
>>
>>29025350
It’s mostly a license issue (and I’m also terrified of killing myself). It’s only 3 hrs to get a moped license, and like 3-6 months to get a motorcycle license, and I need something in the next month.

So what are you saying? You're in the top 1% of cunts on planet earth that knows how to operate a sequential trans and a clutch? You're saying you actually deserve msrp+tip for your used bike?

Had to order it separate from Yoshimura, I'm glad they had it in stock. The Titanium At2 has a special baffle, and from what I can find its the quietest. More than likely to pass tech at strict race tracks. It sounds really nice with the baffle though. Has a nice brap when I blip the throttle.

But the without the baffle I can feel the thumping in my chest. It sounds awesome if I want to piss my neighbors off and make my tinnitus worse.

>>29024930
I don't have audio equipment that will do it justice. With out the baffle it legitimately give most Harley pipes a run for its money. Like how the fuck did Yamaha make a P-Twin sound so good.

You are not doing anything on a track with a stock R3. You can barely keep up with traffic without feeling like you're wringing it's neck.

I know right, this song is awesome and it's actually about riding bikes, it's about how his bike can't start after rain and he can't ride it on such a beautiful night because there must be water in kurbs.

this song has soul just like Yamaha motorcycles and my wife Onsa
