Is there a point to the map when it goes up to 2023?Last I checked we cleared that year by a bit.
First for Moto Guzzi
just ordered the RPHA 91 at a mega discounthavent had a modular in a minute
>>29045973Too slow. Just like Guzzi.
>>29045973There is a yellow (orange?) parked near me. It looks cool.BTW how are various Italy-China bikes in quality and endurance by the way? Moto Morini, Benelli, QJ Motor, Benelli, Morbidelli, CFMoto etc.Picrel is ~7K new, closest new JP/Euro bike that hasover 40hp is ~1K. I might be staring at buying new bike and my old one would get me ~4K, probably less. The difference between saving 3-4K and 6-7K is pretty big for my income.I was looking at them parked at the street and at a salon, and I don't see anything egregiously wrong with build quality, at least from outside.
>>29045993>JP/Euro bike that hasover 40hp is ~1K*~10K
>>29045993>BTW how are various Italy-China bikes in quality and endurance by the way? Moto Morini, Benelli, QJ Motor, Benelli, Morbidelli, CFMoto etc.Quality is better than it used to be, still not up to Japanese and Euro Standards, You will lose your ass trying to sell it. I'm not a fan personally ( I would buy a used Japanese or Euro bike before I bought a new Chinese bike) but a lot more people seem to be buying them.
>>29046009>but a lot more people seem to be buying them.Yeah I see more and more of them here in Med. Reading about the engines, they all seem to have copy of ER6 twin, I didn't like it on Ninja 650. >Used JP or Euro bikeUsed market is tiny here. There are like 3 bikes on sale that are under 6K and newer than 2015. I'm going to be selling mine for a year or longer.

Thoughts on a 2006 CBF500 with 40k miles?
>>29046020I used to own 2001 CB500 and it was great, I was just retarded and didn't understand with few mods i wouldn't have to sell it.
>>29046024How far was the range with a full tank driving modestly?
>>29046039It was something like 270km on full tank, including reserve. One time I pushed 330km driving exactly the speed limit.
>>29046048Seems nice, also elaborate on the mods you talked about here>>29046024 and why did you sell it?
Almost all off the quickest street bikes are Hayabusas
>>29046067Headlight is dogshit and needs immediate replacement. I had retarded S version with square one so I couldn't easily replace the entire thing and different, stronger bulb that I tried didn't make a lot of difference. On normal version with round headlight, aftermarket options are limitless. Potentially additional lighting could be nice, could be installed on forks or crash bars, which I would also get since it's a very low to the ground bike.Suspension needs upgrade & maintenance. It's soft and bottoms out too easily, especially on old bikes where its tired. I would get stiffer replacement springs for front fork, repair kit with all the stuff like copper jackets and a thicker fork oil. Rear shocks should be replaced to after-market ones: progressive with expansion cylinder. It's an older design compared to monoshock. If you care about looks, I would also slap some heat-tape onto the end of muffler, it's so low I kept scraping it on random shit. The rest are less crucial: front fender needs a dirt flap for rainy weather because it will absolutely shit all over you head to toe.I would also put a fuel filter onto the line between pump and carb, I had to clean it like twice in 3 years, measure fuel pressure and get on spec one.Sold it because I mostly rode after sunset. Combination of shitty headlight and weak suspension did a number on my lower back. I overcompensated and went for ADV next. Should have just gotten extra headlights and suspension upgrade.
>>29046067>>29046090I also replaced rear sprocket to smaller size which improved top speed a little. Mine also had 130mm rear tire which was pain in the ass to get new rubber for, but CBF500 seems to have normal 160mm one.
is sport or naked better for 200km highway trips, given same engine?
>>29046090Which one is that? I don't think we ave it herepic related is the bike
>>29046098It depends on weather. Sport plastic + taller windshield really help against cold and rain.>>29046099My pic was CB500S, S version has fairing and square headlight. Looking at the specs and pictures CBF500 half the stuff I said probably doesn't even apply: it seems to have monoshock in the rear. Maybe it's headlight is okay too. Anyway, I would recommend this bike.
>>29046101Thanks
>>29046098Sounds like you need a croozer
>>29046098Sport tourer or a cruiser are better for highway.
>>29046127Sport tourers are too big and scary and I don't have full licence. Are there some A2 sport bikes that ride like a sports tourer?
>>29046135My guess would be any small sport bike like an R3 or Ninja 500 since they're fairly comfortable and upright while having the added benefits of wind protection because of the fairings.
might close a big deal next weeka nice japanese man finally buy my bagi should celebrate it with a japanese bikewhat should I get?

>>29046161>>29046163thanks, man, the illustrations explain it very well! 650 are more poweful, but they should be able to be restricted to 47 hp and unrestricted after.

>>29046171>cycle-ergo dot com, useful to check seating positionIt's completely useless for checking heights since it does not take the seat width into account. In reality seating on 800mm wide tourer seat is the same as 880mm narrow dirt bike seat.
>>29046177Correct, you need to actually sit on the bike, but it at least gives general idea. It filtered a lot of advs when my manlet ass was chosing one.
Probably more of a /diy/ question, but I'll shoot it here first. I need a clear coat for bare aluminium to go on my crankcase covers. Has anyone used something like that? Can be 1K or 2K. Money is absolutely an object, someone recommended Cerakote but it's like 120 bucks a can, I want my bike to look good but I don't care THAT much.

One for blasting through boring 6-lane highway out of the city, second to slowly get back home through smaller secondary roads. ever since the idea for real popped into my head a month ago ive been slowly going insane the longer i go without a baikbut i really dont want to get a used one and have to deal with repairs and maybe being fucked by a lemon, having to trust some random fuck in both the transaction process and in the quality of the bike. ive never even bought or sold anything online before. and i dont want some 600cc bike for $7000 when 1000cc cruisers are just a few thousand moregoing below 600cc is out of the question, im not financing something for 3+ years that im going to be bored of in a year or twoi guess my problem is my credit score is basically non existent, and will be hit by a huge medical bill debt in like 8 months tops i think, and i started a new job very recently so ill almost definitely be denied for financing unless i get my literally paralyzed barely able to speak dying mother to show up to cosign with me

>>29046453If you never had a bike before, there is 0% chance your first bike is going to be your forever bike. You'll shed it in ~2 years and buy something closer to what you really need.
>>29046460yeah but theres a big difference between the sensitivity of the throttle in different higher CC bikes apparently, and differences in how easy they are to handle between sport, cruiser etc. im pretty dead set on a honda rebel 1100 which seems to be fine for beginners. it even has a bunch of electronics that can make it even easier. many others would probably get me killed yeah, especially sport bikesi already spent half a grand on my helmet so im just waiting for a chance to get enough time off work to sign up for the fucking classes and then save up for as much of a down payment as i can tolerate before i cant wait any longer but i guess if my mom dies ill probably just have more than enough money to go buy it outright because fuck it. but if i dont get one before she kicks the bucket i think i might lose it. then again maybe ill just get myself killed riding as a beginner in that state of mind. then again she might not die for a year or so for all i can tell and im struggling to keep my shit together as is with my life driving around in a cage to work jobs that are either actively killing me or working with people who apparently want to kill me

>>29046554>why not get the rebel 500 though?im really not like other people who mostly all buy things and then sell get bored of them and sell them. ive had my car for 15 years now and a big reason im considering this is because i dont want to have to get a new one while i still need it for driving my helpless old family members around and am learning to ride. i guess a big factor of safety when you're learning is something ive never seen people here really mention, which is that if you're going to have nothing to travel with but a motorcycle, then your chance of fucking will skyrocket because you wont be able to just ride when you want to practice and feel competent, youll have to ride just to get to work every day, to get food, to do anything. i guess thats another reason i wanna do this asap and finance it so i can get some practice in before my car gets a chance to possibly shit the bed and then have to either throw money at my car or forget it and sorta take bigger chances by riding when i dont feel quite up to it. plus once some or another people in my family die ill be able to sell my car or just have the money to pay off the bike and avoid all that extra interest

>>29046661yeah i guess sorta on the middle lower end but to me it seems worth more than the price and i want to get into this because bikes are cheaper than cars, not doing this to just end up spending as much on a bike as id spend on a car. and 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds 0 to 100 in 10 seconds is fucking good enough >Its a good motor but people just dont care when there is an african twin with better everything save seat heightive looked into this shit a lot. i was initially most interested in the africa twin. the difference is a lot more than seat height, the entire thing is designed more for comfort and ease of use for riding on streets rather than being about a high performance offroad capable bike. if you plan to never take either bike offroad, africa twin just seems like a waste of money for a less comfortable and less relaxed ride.and the rebel 1100 has better electronics than any other cruisers in its price range to my knowledgeand the rebel does 0 to 60 and 0 to 100 slightly faster than the africa twin

The only thing they're good at is selling you the image of ruggedness, masculinity, adventure and "off-roading", even though they weigh 250 kg or more. Only boomers over 60 buy them, and being scared of death, they demand every safety feature available. Really, they're just the most "Karen" bikes.

Reselling a used bike and buying a new one is far more expensive than just buying the bike you want right now.If you're determined to just get a low displacement engine and never worry about it again as a new rider who just wants to dip your toes in, I would say the Hunter. For two reasons: The Bullet has 19 inch front wheels, and those feel weird for a street bike, that's the size most dual sports have, and it results in it not feeling as snappy on the road, the hunter has 17 inch front wheels. Second is the Hunter has a combo digital instrument cluster, the bullet just has an analogue gauge which you'll probably want to put a phone mount on at some point for GPS. The hunter can do GPS/routing. lastly please just buy an interceptor instead.

>>29047237Your 90s couch on wheels has no low down grunt, unlike the 650 twin. Small bike with torquey engine is its own kind of fun, you're always in the powerband. And you really don't need more than 70 horses on a bike unless you are going to go at wildly illegal speeds, of which the 650 itself is already more than capable of.
>dual clutch transmissions have one clutch for odd gears and one clutch for even gears>this somehow makes them automatichow does that work? what does a second clutch change that it defaults to being automatic and why can’t you make one clutch automatic
>>29047265Sure man. That's fine if that's your limit, what's important is that you know it's your limit. I just think the Ninja 650 is a bit soulless. It's a cool bike, I'm just a sour unclennial at the end of the day though so realistically who cares what I think? >>29047290>You don't NEED more than xyzRead pic rel, if you haven't already, in full. I know I don't need it, but it's fun, and if you can justify that to yourself, that's what matters. life isn't purely a cost-benefit analysis, nor should it be purely utilitarian. Nobody NEEDS good whiskey, fast motorcycles, or red-headed women with huge racks, but they make life a little bit more worth living.
>>29047301It's just an easier way to do it, the transmission can pre-shift to the next gear and then it just needs to open one clutch and close the other. It's also very quick and smooth.
>>29047247I did, I bought an expensive one too, not as expensive as the one I have now, but it was a good one. I was riding rentals and I was also riding on the back of my friends' bike.

>>29047328>In fact nobody rides these bikes outside USA,As I've said you are insane, there are a ton of them in Europe and CIS. ER6 is one of the most popular starter bikes.
>>29047304You don't need more than 70 hp, as in, it's nice to have, but it might be not worth the downsides. If you like peaky screamers that you have to rev to 5 digits for continued existence, you can have them. If you like fat bitches that you can barely lift off the side stand, you can have them. I prefer a bike that I can manhandle into submission and that will only speak when I allow it, and it just having 72 horses does not bother me enough to seek something more.

Replacing cam chain & CCT doesn't seem like worthy investment at this point. Probably start selling the bike.
>>29047328>It's a sportbike with a gutted "sport" part. It's not a sportbike. It's a classic with an upright seating position, despite the sporty fairings. >>29047189Now, bump your Busa up to 400 whp, that is the minimum for a new rider.
>>29047341>did the shop not investigate?I already asked them last year: same mechanic rode my bike for 20 minutes came back said everything's fine maybe get the rubbers under handlebar mounts. I got 2nd opinion and that one changed my air filter (fucked up airbox in the process) and cleaned throttle bodies.Bike eats new front brake master cylinder every year, gaping it with vibration.I've put extra aluminum washers around engine mount bolts so there's zero micron gap, changed injectors, air filter, sealed airbox properly, checked for vacuum leaks, replaced fuel filter, did TBS and now valve adjustment. IDFK what else to do.>>29047348No, I'm from Europe. >>29047568The primary reason to buy an ADV is the dirt bike adjacent rider triangle. I have a 36" inseam. My Vstrom is absolutely boring, but it's the most comfortable bike I've ever owned. I should have bought a 990SMT for a sportier bike, but I fell for the memes about KTM.
Should I be concerned about these marks on the cam journals?
>/o/tists praise double wishbone suspensions a lot>the only baiku that has one is a boomer mover that weighs 400 kg
Can we have dbt - daily scooter thread, please
I tried to jump start my bike through my trickle charger and blew the fuse
