Over the years I've done a lot of hiking and I have taken some photos I think are pretty cool. Everything here was taken with a phone which I think is pretty impressive, I've never quite got the hang of a DLSR.

Hope you enjoy :)

Do you know what that little palm tree looking weed behind it is? Those are always popping up and no app can ever tell me.
>>
>>2745529
* not behind, in the picture it's just above it
>>
>>2745529
The pine tree seedling?
>>
>>2745534
Oh that's what that is? lol well they pop up like weeds all over the place, even in potted plants.
>>
>>2745536
If you like pine nuts, pine seedlings/sprouts at about that age and younger taste pretty good too. You can eat them raw or add them to dishes. Just the tender new needles not the stem. I used to eat them all the time, growing up in North Carolina.

I'll try anything once
>>
>>2745540
The younger the better. Try to find one with the seed shell still on the tips of the needles. Pull one needle to see if it's tender. If the stem is still white, that's good. They can still be ok after they turn red, but they'll be more piny. They start getting tough pretty quickly. If the needles don't break easily, it's too old.

I have pulled up many like that with the shell still attached, so next time I see one I'll try it.
