i always go alone bc no one I know cares about going out, 1 accepted but only came on a day hike, the other friend is the best out friend I have and he came 4 times, 2 day hikes and 2 overnighters, problem is he's not fit enough to carry a ruck with sustainment for 2 days even on an easy flat trail so we cant do it, and he always wants to stop early, I barely ever meet people unless it's in summer on popular trails, I may meet 3/4 guy over 2 days or no one at all, we chat a bit usually but then each goes on its way
