Sure if you come from a rich country where you can afford feed and vets then I assume that scabies isn't an issue.However in communist Romania scabies was very much a thing, for that reason alone goats are from my perspective not ideal. Imagine raising an animal that has the potential to give you parasites that borrow into your skin..... And yeah it sounds like the most annoying thing ever because it is. Goats do have a certain cuteness to them, their meat milk and cheese is also great but as far as livestock goes sheep do all of the above plus wool. Granted goats are better in arid climates but in the global north sheep are "goated".
