What are these lighters filled with?Everytime I add fluid the flame gets worse. I need a recommendation on a good everyday lighter that works in wet hands and doesn't turn into a crack torch if left in a hot car
i think the primus power lighters would be a good bet, or just 12 bic lighters, but why is leaving it the car /out/ related?
>>2787321usually adding random fluids to a lighter won't really help it
>>2787395i added lighter fluid, aka butane.are these thing filled with propane?the flame is barely visible now, before it was blowing and howling.
>>2787415lighter fluid and butane arent the same thing>https://www.thevintagelighter.com/blogs/news/what-is-the-difference-between-fluid-and-butane-lighter?srsltid=AfmBOoo_pgRpKbMHok-xLtSxac20cy7rcoz63aBlAShjA7-4PD1TgmBJyou likely have a butane lighterThe name lighter fluid should be taken literally. It's used for lighting things. Yes you can use it on a lighter but it's not butane.
>>2787416kek it didnt format correctly
>>2787416some people use lighter fluid on charcoal because the oil consistency makes it catch lite(light however you wanna spell it)do you see what i mean now?
>>2787419makes it lite faster*not cath
>>2787420lighters that use lighter fluid are going to be lighters like zippo that have a wick that draws from a well which is usually cotton or something that soaks in the lighter fluid
>>2787321Jeeeeesus. Do not use lighter fluid for that lighter. BUTANE ONLY!
>>2787456its butane, i just call it lighter fluid.
>>2787457One thing you have to do before filling butane lighters is to drain them by pressing the hole on the bottom till all gas is evacuated. I like to use a mechanical pencil and do not recommend using a pen.
>>2787457>a gas>i just call it a fluidfuck its like amermuttistanis with calling petrol "gas"
>>2787657It's gasoline, not petroleum.
>>2787660Here we call it Benzin, you know after the chemical >Benzene is also used to make some types of lubricants, rubbers, dyes, detergents, drugs, and pesticidesBased
>>2787457>i was only pretending to be retardedrepresentation of the average /out/istic retard
>>2787670To be fair you need to be special kind of dumb to even think that it is physically possible to fill a butane lighter with gasoline without some special equipment. Or think that it would light even a little bit.
>>2787457This >>2787655You’re probably not really filling it. IIRC, you flip the lighter upside down, poke the little brass valve for a second to shoot some of the air out of there, and then fill from your butane can. I’m sure there’s a good google about it, but it’s like trying to fill a gas tank without ever allowing the vapor to escape… if it were a sealed system, the vapor currently in the tank will block the liquid gas from ever being able to get into the tank to fill it.
>>2787706guess im a retard. id ont know how to fil it.i drained out all the fluidput in a butane filler, it made some hissing noise and some got out, but the lighter (no window) still feels empty, and now nothing comes out.i tried flling it a few times and nothing.i tried filling a regular lighter, and that worked.
>>2787712i plan on getting a zippo because those you just straight up put it in
>>2787719Zippos are gay and the fluid evaporates from them in a week whether you use the thing or not. Also retarded question since you sound like you may be retarded… does the butane bottle fit on the lighter you’re trying to fill? There are different size nozzles and adapters for different size fill ports on lighters.
>>2787725im not OP but yes i am retarded thank you for noticing
