Anyone interested in planting time capsules or such in your favourite /out/ or /urbex/ locations?15 years ago me and my two best friends buried a time capsule in the woods near our childhood hangout spots, near the train tracks and river and old mill. We put it in the ground by the ruins of the old dam that used to divert water under the mill (mill was built in 1790). The idea was to dig it up in 10 years and have a good hyuck about the contents inside. But, as things go, 10 years flies by as you become an adult, and those precious photos and 3 nips of bourbon and all the other shit I don't remember we put in there, can wait.Ergo, we've decided to make this 10-year time capsule a tontine. It will stay in the ground for however many decades it takes until the last one of us to be alive can claim it, and reminisce about our childhoods and adventures, and the crap we buried back in 2009.I just want to encourage youse to do the same, the tontine has been a fun, and interesting, way to band together with my friends and it brings a lot of big thoughts with it. Will I collect the tontine? Maybe not.
