I love wandering around the woods at night, it's making me feel like horror games main character. Anon, y'all often do that too or nah?
>>2795534I live next to 40,000 acres of county and national park. I wander around that and my neighborhood at night with a gun.
>>2795534>When you see it Nice job, OP.
i wish i had woods in my area. i wander 10 minutes and them i am at the next road.t.german who lives in ruhrarea
Not without a flashlightSpookiest woods are down south where theres only 1 home every few miles. I wouldn't recommend going in those at night with no flashlight
i love a good /night walk/ i have insomnia issues, so that's a given.when you have been trying to fall asleep for 6 hours, you have work at 7am. might as well go for a walk, see the sunrise
>>27955342 spooky 4 me
why are so many people afraid of the dark?
>>2795534oh fuck yes, this is one of my favoritmost activities>removed my face with AI and it turned me into a wiseguy
>>2795800No experience with it. You can walk around without lights if you're used to it. All you need is moonlight or the light pollution of a nearby city.
>>2795803there's almost always enough skylight to find your way around with scotopic vision. it's not particularly safe only because the risk of injury or twisting an ankle or something is a lot higher in the dark, but except in the darkest sky conditions or the thickens tree cover you can find your way around.
>>2795803i have terrible nighttime eyesight, i mean, why are do so many people thing some sort of murderer/cryptid/aliens/ghost whatever, is gonna get them just because its darkstatistically, you are the most dangerous thing out there, only time ive been scared at night was a pack of boars, or moose soundsand I'm not a tough guy by any measure
>>2795534I’ve done nightwalks many times in my town but I’ve never decided to do one on wooded trails since it would be less easy to explain to cops than walking on the sidewalk
>>2795928Why do you think cops will randomly spawn, in the woods, at night?
Somewhat recently went for a night hike and camping with a buddy. The moon rose at 1am and we were 6 miles from the nearest small town and about 20 from the nearest city, so it was PITCH black without headlamps. The stars looked amazing though.
>>2795803>>2795800>t.has never been in a real forest at nightOne of the first times I ever went camping, I went to some crown land (public land in Canada) and set my tent up about 200 meters up a big hill from the lake where it was flat and had moss. I stayed by the fire until after sun down and figured I'd have no trouble getting back to my tent since it was so close and I was familiar with the area.Long story short I ended up walking around blindly in circles for 20 minutes because the trail was unmarked and had different branches, and the tent wasn't directly on the trail. I walked too far down the trail, then I walked too far on the way back. There was one point where I thought I was coming up to where my tent was supposed to be but then I came over a ledge and saw the lake and flipped over boat close to where my fire had been. I was literally nowhere near where I thought I was, facing the opposite direction even. It sent a jolt of fear through my body even though I knew for a fact that my tent was somewhere nearby and I was in no real danger. Just the idea that I was completely unable to navigate in the pitch black freaked me out.I finally ended up seeing the glow in the dark tent ropes through some tree branches where my head lamp was pointed and bushwhacked to my tent. But that was a lesson for sure. Respect the darkness of the night or it will fuck you. I know it's cool to go on a vietnamese basket weaving image board and pretend like you're one with the forest and could never get lost, but that's precisely the reason why people get lost.
>>2795534Cool OP. I generally just use my Night Vision but sometimes it isn't fun so that I put on my headlamp.
>>2795959Paranoia. Probably unfounded though because no one ever really goes deep into the trails even during the day.
>>2795534there's a 7-eleven near my house and to get there at night I take a shortcut through the woods. it definitely builds character and especially if it's like 3-4am it's fully dark and every noise sounds like a demon or wild animal trying to kill you. I can't stop doing it because I feel like a bitch if I avoid the shortcut
>>2795534When I do it I often pretend I'm on an adventure with some fairy like Tinkerbell, and the woods isn't dark and scary it's more like mysterious and curious like Twilight Princess. Scariest thing I've ever seen in the woods was a Nigger, rare sight to behold.
>>2795534now do it with nvg and a rifle and you'll feel like the horror game's main villain
