i am a neet and a hikikomori and id like to start going for walks in the park (its a pretty big and nice park) but i am very scared of the sunit messes up your skin really bad and gives you cancerid like to preserve my skin but still maybe go out into nature because it's comfy, does /out/ know any way to stay safe from the sun?
>>2796920Strictly speaking, pic relatedIn practice, getting a bit of sun will probably do your health more good than bad (assuming you don't get sunburn) so try to not wear all of that all the time.
>>2796922i take vitamin d supplements and look out the window occasionally for sun, but it makes me feel gross having the sun touch my bodywould gloves help? i was thinking of getting a neck gaiter too for more protection but i heard they dont do anything against the sun if they're not made of UltraPlastic(tm) and then putting suncreen (50spf) on any exposed areas, i also need to look into what kinds of UV radiation different kinds of sunscreen block
>>2796923You need to be less neurotic my man.Anyway. I'm quite pasty and I wear a long shirt, a legionnaires hat and long pants. Never had a problem with sunburn. Sun neck protection and sungloves probably exist, but that's overkill. Some companies make sun hoodies.
>>2796924its not about sunburns but prolonged sun exposure damaging your skin over many years and making you wrinkle up and get skin cancer laterdo normal hoodies have no effect on the sun or something? why is that the case if they're opaque?
>>2796928>making you wrinkle upYou're a hikikomori, who cares how you look?>get skin cancer later10-20 people per 100k get skin cancer. And you bet this involves people who care jack shit how much UV they get. It's a non issue for people who take normal precautions against sunburn.>do normal hoodies have no effect on the sun or somethingNormal hoodies are way too hot to wear in the kind of weather that requires you to use sun protection. But they probably do block most UV.
>>2796928Your perception of the risk of aging and skin cancer from sun exposure is way off. Just go outside, you’ll be fine.
>>2796920Nightwalks.
>>2796935>You're a hikikomori, who cares how you look?i do, it's important to me that i dont age a ton or have messed up skin from the sun, maybe a light hoodie would work?i have a very hard time finding clothes to go outside too since i dont like synthetic things very much, its my autistic pet peeve>>2796936sounds like something Big Sun would say tbdesu>>2797028arent you scared of getting attacked by some druggie at night or robbed?
>>2797037>arent you scarednext to no niggers here
>>2797041me too im just extremely paranoid, i live in a "blue" neighborhood (no niggers as defined on the redlining map)my neighbors actually call the cops when they see one usually but night time is a different story probably
>>2796920>id likelike?,,Like?,,,LIKE!,,,,you LAZY LAZY weakboy!,time to do HARD THING!,yoursister wontell you to GETAJOB!,,,,,look at famhands,,covered head totoe,, no exposure,, face covered too for dust.,,,WE, ARE,,, your big brothersand we KICK your ASS!, because we love you,,,and dont like Mom being ashamed.,,,alsotheres the best food.,,,,,dont makeus put onthe Boot!,Mom will smile so big.
>>2796923>i was thinking of getting a neck gaiter too for more protection but i heard they dont do anything against the sun if they're not made of UltraPlastic(tm)Wear a legionnaires hat. If you're feeling autistic, I've seen some of the chink girls around my city going for walks with umbrellas to keep the sun off them, you could probably do that.
>>2797037>age a tonFrom going out every now and then?>Big Sun Now you're just trolling.
>>2797060yes im pretty scared of aging from even just a big, the big sun thing was a joke>>2797055i do use an umbrella, the one time i went on a hike i was totally covered up and under an umbrella the whole time, is the legionnare hat better than a hoodie? i feel like it'd make me stand out a lot
>>2797070>im pretty scared of agingLack of movement from not going out ages you harder than going out with sun protection.>is the legionnare hat better than a hoodieEh, pretty comparable.>i feel like it'd make me stand out a lotWearing a hoody in hot weather also makes you stand out. Either way, I've never gotten stares with mine.
>>2796920The idea that the sun is bad for you is largely overblown, it is great for your health, great for your sleep, your skin, your eyes. We were made to be in the Sun anon, just start going for walks, try not to get burned, but develop a tan. A tan is good for you.
>>2796920The sun sleeps at night, making night time great for long walks in the park when there's no one there to bother you.
>>2796920Imagine being pretended to be scared of people and claiming this as an actual disability and still thinking you want to go /out/Right now all I want is to be away from people and the moron that pulled into the spot closest to mine can't get his shit bag camper started and I'm guessing he's walking over here right now for helpYou hikkimori pretendeners don't known shit about the real world and how you can do your best to never interact but you still have to help idiots.
>>2797273The only interaction I’ve ever had going /out/ so far was talking with a boomer who slept in his truck not far from me about hunting before I left my campsite
>>2797248havent you seen like those truckers where one side of them gets sun and the other doesnt? humans were meant to fear the sun>>2797270dont you get scared walking places at night? what if someone is out to get you? i dont own a gun or anything
>>2796920>it messes up your skin really bad and gives you cancerreplace normies with (you) in imagego the fuck outside you fucking dipshit.
>>2797509>truckers where one side of them gets sun and the other doesnt? You mean, people that sit in the sun day in day out, 12 hours a day? Yeah. Now extrapolate how much being in the sun for, let's say, two hours every week, will do to your skin: Absolutely nothing.
>>2796920Just use an umbrella / parasol so you won't get any direct sunlight.
>>2796920Just stay in your room, anon. There's nothing for you out there. You know what's outside? The sun. And you of all people know how bad the sun is. It poisons you. Do you see how the people who have been poisoned by the sun are behaving? They want you to be poisoned by the sun too. These prematurely aged and walking cancer cells all want you to join them in their suffering.Just stay in your room. Watch a video of the outdoors. It's the exact same thing and you won't die of cancer unlike these fools.
>>2796920>but i am very scared of the sunwear a big floppy hat
>>2796920>it messes up your skin really bad and gives you cancerBoth of these things are only true if you over do your exposure. And by "over do" I mean "be out in the sun for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 20+ years."
>>2797953Skin cancer can happen from drastically less exposure if you keep getting sunburn.
>>2797870Don't fuel the nice OPs neuroticism anon.
>>2796920Guess what also causes cancer? Being immobile. Guess what also causes aging? You guessed it. You are literally aging and increasing your chances of cancer by not doing any activity or sports (is my educated guess). Getting out, moving your legs, getting the blood flowing will only improve your health. Take some basic precautions like, cover your skin and by all means add some sunscreen on exposed spots, and you totally avoid all the negative side effects of getting sun.
im on a similar boat, but going outside will improve your life man. please do it
>>2796920Nah fuck your bait
>>2796920high carotenoid diet (phytonutrient pigments found in red/orange/yellow fruits and vegetables) are stored in the skin and improve every aspect of skin health and appearance while acting as a natural sunscreen. they also improve your general health and are good for the brain, even to the point of improving mood substantially.tl;dr eat a shit ton of colorful fruit & vegetables every day
>>2798230i enjoy fruits n vegetablesso i will try that, it kind of sounds like psuedoscience though>>2798228it's not baitalso to anons who said to wear sunscreen ad stuff, i have been trying to look at /fa/'s sunscreen guide since they're super in depth about it, ill try and get good sunscreen and maybe do some walks at night if i havent found it before my shoes come..i miss doing stuff like hiking and camping but i started getting really scared of the sun later on, so it would be nice to do it again>>2797693i used to do this when i went on hikes
>>2796920>it messes up your skin really bad and gives you cancerthe sun does not give you cancersunscreens do give you cancer
just wear a hat
I work an out job in the desert with a ginger. He wears sun hoodies, a ball cap over the hood, and sun gloves and then covers the rest of his face with zinc and he doesn't burn. Sunbrellas do the job too. Just look at good desert outdoor gear, it's all about minimizing exposed skin. I do this all too except the zinc. But I also once I finish my work take off all my layers and sunbathe for at least a little each day. If im working alone ill sunbathe naked. It's good for you. It will physiologically make you happier if you let it.
>>2798291>just reply with a numberBecause otherwise, chatgpt would have told you that the concentration and carcinogenity of those substances is so small it doesn't make a practical difference.
>>2798400>it doesn't make a practical difference.sure it doesn't, dr. pharmastein
