I made a board where I keep patches from various /out/ locations I've visited over the years including Adirondacks in NY, Algonquin Park in Ontario, and some others. What do you guys think? Do any of you collect patches? If so, share them. I showed it to my friends and they called it my "autism board" so I now call it my /out/ism board.

Top Row: Adirondacks, Cascade Mountain (a 46er), and a few smaller mountains I've climbed mostly with my wife.
Second Row: Algonquin Park, Ontario, Eastern Pines Backpacking Trail (went backpacking/camping), and a bunch of a day-hikes from Highway 60.
Third Row: various Ontarion Provincial Parks I've visited, some of them are pretty small and don't really involve much hiking, desu
Fourth Row: random selection of Canadian National Parks, I've been to many more but most don't have official patches.
Fifth Row: Month Tremblant "National" Park. Basically a Provincial Park but for Quebec.
Last Row: Joshua Tree National Park in California. I've visited some other sites in California including Bohemian Grove but I don't have patches for them.
My collection is far from complete, but I'm proud of it and it's pretty fucking autistic.

not quite the same thing but the /extraflags/ general on /int/ gathers all the regional flags that have ever been posted in the entire history of 4chan, so if you go /out/ there you can make history as the first flagtist to post those flags

so far, looks like most noreastern have an iq too low to become flagtists

Maybe have some patches commissioned, anon. Seems like a patch is the kind of thing you can have designed and made pretty easily.
Cool collection.

I personally took a shithoad of ultrarare flags while /out/ing in Italy and that makes me proud. wait when i will fill my map of Switzerland

Looks cool, I'll check it out.

>>2800587
Thanks man, yeah, some people on Etsy or whatever will make custom patches where "official" ones are unavailable.
>>
>>2800586
do you have to post on 4chan from these places? or just have proof that you went to them?
>>2800591
wait this couldn't be all you right? also I sure hope you didn't post on 4chan hundreds (thousands?) of times while vacationing in Italy.

anyway, I buy magnets at most of the National Parks and other places I visit for placement on my parent's refrigerator. Except on my west coast trip when I exceeded my magnet budget after California and didn't buy any in the PNW but then regretted not getting the magnets.

>do you have to post on 4chan
you have to post in a flag board with the extraflags extension on, which in practice means the /extraflags/ general on /int/

>from these places?
you can do that while blogposting, but most of the flags are just dumped at home. i just dumped my trip to the Orobian Alps, install extraflags and see my blogpost here >>>/int/206855937

yes, i posted thousands of flags over the years, mostly in Italy and Switzerland
Virtually all of the flags are posted in flag dumps while sitting at home, which means it takes 30 seconds each post if you do it manually (it can be done automatically)

>while vacationing in Italy.
i'm Italian.

pic related, one of the biggest dumps in /flag/ history; a Voronezh anon did a Donbass-Crimea-Abkhazia tour with trains and buses. sick stuff

>i'm Italian.
I always assume everyone I talk to here is American, sorry.
So you can just choose which flag you post from? does this mean I can false flag shitpost on /sp/ without a vpn or do only people with the extension see any differences?
>>
>>2800629
you can't select regional flags of another country, the plugin explicitly blocks that. When one needs to post extraflags of another country, he gotta use a vpn

I don't save flags from outside the /extraflags/ general on /int/, those are people that use extraflags as a tripcode hence they are completely useless to the general. The actual purpose of the extraflags extension is travel blogposting and that activity is exclusively concentrated in /extraflags/

The flag selection is manual, from a drop-down menu. you can select a flag you've never been to but it would be like adding to your collection a patch of a park you've never been to: what's the fucking point?
