Hello, I wanted to ask your advice about the old Korean War down sleeping bags. I am considering one and use my existing bag as a liner. Do they tend to hold up well?

If it's anything like the one I had it was "brittle" and kind of fragile. It seemed to easily tear and get little holes from every little snag. I was constantly patching it or putting tape over little holes. I found out later they had a dedicated canvas cover that you needed to use.
One of the many MSS bags kicking around would be a better choice if you can get one cheap.
The pic is a U.S. surplus bag like the one I had.

i knew a guy in boy scouts who took his dad or grandpa's old mummy bag to a camp out and discovered he was incredibly allergic to it there.
