You have to start over with $250 USD to spend on your gear. What are you getting?
>>4319249A job, hippy.
>>4319249Nikon FA.Then suck dix in the alley to afford the 85mm Ais lens.
>>4319249personally, I'm going for a D200, AF 70-210 f4, and AF-D 50 f1.8
>>4319255That was my favorite camera the whole time i had it. Sold it for rent money, by the time I could affird to replace it, it was history. Lived on the beach, shot many if my best images ever with my 14mm AF-D with it.
>>4319249>cheap point and shoot film camera with auto everything>high end 35mm scanner>home developing kitThats literally all you need but then again I’m a snapshitter
>>4319249Pentax ME and an 85mm prime
Canon S95
>>4319258>14mm AF-DNice! I can't justify spending that much on a DX lens for my 20 year old body, but I did just order a Tokina 11-20mm F2.8 for my D200.
>>4319249Whatever compact fits in budget.
Depends on what you mean with starting over. Start collecting gear from scratch or start over finding out what gear fits me the best?
when one looks keh.com it appears that i will shoot with Nikon D40x + 18-55mm G II + memory card
>>4319249a gun I use to rob the next leica fag
>>4319249I buy a cheap slut from a pimp and multiply my wealth in the process i can get more hos and use them to practice studio wank when i shoot for the escort ads.
>>4319249A Praktica MTL-50, black and white chemistry, a Paterson 3-reel, and a kit of three 28-35mm, 50-55mm, and 120-150mm m42 lenses runs about $140, leaving room for a three ring binder, film sleeves, and a used eBay flatbed scanner with negative holder. The exact M42 body doesn't matter a ton; a Spotmatic also works but the more recent it is the likelier it accepts batteries that are still available and the likelier the meter works.
>>4320967Based, a hipoint will run you about 100 bux so you'll even have money to spare!
Canon Original 5D and 28-70 f3.5-4.5 kit lens from EOS 650
>>4321276>Jams if you look at it the wrong wayHeh, nothin personnel kid
Panasonic Lumix LX3 & Olympus AF-10 Super. You literally do not need more.
aren't film rolls super expensive now
>>4321322>Doesn't jam>There is a half inch hole in your body>Now what?
>>4321344Hypoints are shit I would trust an elected American politician before I trusted a Hypoint, for under 250 you could get a sawed-off shotgun which actually works.Hypoints are the Communism of the gun world, works on paper only.
>>4321338Black and white is mostly cheap if you're not buying Ilford brand Delta or Kodak, and there's still budget color stocks. Repackaged cinema film is as cheap as it's ever been.
>>4321347Alright man you do you, just don't come crying when you're in the ER for a GSW because you told the stickup artist "ummm akshually that gun is shit"Anyway back on topic. Prolly a Chinon CE-4 with a 50 and spend the rest on film.
>>4320932You may retain your current knowledge but none of your current cameras.
>>4321321Great choice. Not familiar with the lens but I'm sure it would work for you.>>4321324>Olympus AF-10 SuperI got one of these at a Goodwill about 10 years ago and it took the sharpest and best exposed photos of any 35mm P&S I've owned. I've since owned an XA, XA2, Nikon Litetouch 28mm, Nikon L35AF, but I miss that Oly most of all.>>4321338Yes, I agree that film isn't the way to go in this challenge.[EXIF data available. >>4321629The AF-10 is a great little camera. Point and shoots in general are underrated as well so you can get them for cheap :)
>>4319249>start over with $250 USDI just searched for a used GH3, it was the first camera I worked with. Fantastic vídeo and ergonomics and decent micro four turds 16mp photos. I found this:>gh3+14-140mm+20mm+2 spare batteries>170 eurobucks10 years ago a made my living with 2 GH3+12-35mm+35-100mm+slik tripod and monopod. Some of the corporate vids I did still being used by mi clients. Would buy again If I was that broke.
>>4320967>rob the next leica fagno weapons needed for that
x100s
>>4321825where exactly would you obtain that for 250 USD?>>4321806great pick!
What is that in Canuckistani Rupees? Like $250,000?
>>4322101Guess they have gone up in price since, but I bought x100t for 300 in 2021.
>>4321806>170 eurobucksNice bargain. I loved my GH4.This proves that you can start a semi-pro video business with just 170 bucks. But hey, keep obsessing over gear here.
>Nikon D40 with kit lens $100>35mm f/1.8 DX $100>Flash $50The 35mm and bounceable flash would let me do stuff I couldn't with my phone. Kit lens alone not so much. Camera shit is expensive these days, $250 isn't what it used to be.
>>4322415I don't think 1080p is acceptable for pro work these days, unless you're just shooting instagram features for a business or something. But I could be wrong. Great for personal work though!>>4322425As the guy who chose a D200, I'm not sure why you'd go for a D40 given the range of cameras available to you. D70, D90, D200, D300, and more. But it's a personal choice so I support you!
>>4322433>As the guy who chose a D200No particular reason, I was just looking for good old body+lens kits for $100 because I know I wanted the 35mm and a flash alongside a standard zoom. If you can get a D200 with a kit lens in good condition for $100 then that'd be better of course.
>>4322433>1080p is acceptableMaybe you are right. Then you could get a GH4 with slow zoom for 300 if you look enough. Anyway, 1080p in GH3 look crisp and you can re-scale if needed (most clients won't notice anyways).
>>4319249Fuck I hate /p/. Now I'm about to push the trigger with this cutie. 210€ and 1684 shutter actuations.Thoughts?

>>4322524Even after having it explained to me like I'm 5, I still don't know anything about this husky thing or its timeline.

>>4322597The best cheap POS camera is the one that comes to youLmao @ paying ebay prices. Facebook market is where to buy gear.
>>4322597IMO the D200 stands out as an all time classic DSLR and I would still be interested in one even if prices were closer to 300, 400 dollars. It's ergonomically perfect, built as good as the D500, and has beautiful color science.
EOS 20D with a 18-55mm IS stm and a vivitar series 1 70-210
>>4321629The 28-70 kit lens from the EOS 650 was called the Poor Man's L back in the day. It was optically as good as the 28-70/2.8L and only bested because the L had fluorite glass and constant 2.8 aperture, and far superior build.Even at their height you could find them under 100 bucks, I shot so much good work with that lens I sold my 24-105L and just used the kit lens. It weighed nothing and took standard 52mm filters.
>>4322795I'm glad you think that and I hope you tell everyone else right after i buy another 5 for <$50 on ebay
Canon 5D Classic + EF 50mm 1.8, maybe some m42 vintage lens too.
>>4323843>poor-man's LWhat the fuck is wrong with you that you spend so much time spruiking utter fucking garbage like kit zooms and russian trash and white-label 4th-party universal mount 70's zooms and Ford Probes?Do you sell everything you own for meth every single week, and take the photography advice of the guy behind the counter at the pawnshop? Is your cultural cringe so fucking strong that even after being immersed in the hobby for more than a decade you still can't bring yourself to like nice things?>>4319249Any working japanese 35mm aperture-priority slr with a 50/1.8, and any 24mp apsc with a twin lense kit.

>>4323964Looks like dirt at the bottom of a pool
>>4323945Too bad that's the kind of quality that only works for a print
>>4323841Awesome choice, I'd love to try a 20D. >>4323942Probably true, but you'd be hard pressed to do it for under $250>>4323945I've never owned a M43 camera, but have been thinking about picking up one of the Live MOS or CCD models. Any recommendations?
>>4324064yeah - donttake it from someone that triedthe size is a meme. aps-c often ends up being the same size unless you pursue equivalently faster lenses. m43 was meant to compete with bridge cameras and 1" zoom compacts, and essentially died outside of japan with the release of the iphone 7 plus.
>>4324064The E-M1 mark 2 and E-M5 mark 2 are both great. The newer E-M5s are better in various ways but worth enough more used that I recommend the mark 2. There are also Pens if you really want a small ILC. It's fun to have a secondary system with such small lenses to tote around.
>>4319249A used Canon D650 (approx. $100), batteries and charger ($20) and a Yongnuo 35mm f2.0 ($100), a no-name VND filter from Wish ($10) and $20 on booze to help me deal with the loss.
Should be able to get a canon 5d mk2 and 50mm stm for that proce. Seems the best choice
I did it with my Nikon D2x and Nikkor long-barrel 35mm f2.8 Ai lens.
>>4321322nah man, hipoints are as reliable as glocks, just really big and heavy.
>>4323938cool info, but film is still expensive for beginners. memory cards are cheap.
>>4319255may I suggest skipping the nifty 50 and getting a flash? the D200 is great at low iso, but it's garbage at high isos.
>>4324064where there ever any ccd m43 cameras?I think the ccd bodies were all original 4/3 system, that is, they were just dslrs.if you want a ccd sensored dslr just get a nikon
Nothing? I'm good with my Canon T2i.
>>4326278Then your answer would be T2I. Your reading comprehension needs some work.
>>4326265No, I love the 50mm 1.8 even on APS-C. I shoot mainly daylight outdoors, I'm not worried about low light.
>>4319249It might be hard to find both within budget, but I'd get a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and EF 50mm f/1.8 STM
>>4328460You might be able to do a 5D mk 1 more easily for $250. Either one would be great IMO!
