>>4326067Nophoto mentality>>4326069Photo mentality
>>4326081photo mentality is nophoto mentality>keep going to the same places, not taking photos of them anymore because they didnt change the last 2 times i took photos therelol2 weeks off work and a trip pls
>>4326067what kind of photography you are doing? if you mainly shoot inanimate stuff like buildings, street signs, rocks and leaves go for ricoh griii no need for heavy nikons with big ass lenses
>>4326083>gets a suggestion to go on a trip>first thing that comes to his mind is to go to the same placesDamn nigga you are becoming more boring by the second

>>4326084I do mostly wildlife and landscape with my D850, although I have wanted to do more street which is why I have an interest in a retro fixed lens set up.However the 70-200 has always been on my bucket lists of lenses.
>>4326067Is there a reason why you want any of these? None of this stuff is particularly special
Buy the Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 G2It was built well after the Nikon and its both cheaper and sharper.
>>4326132The release of the Zf sparked my interest, I knew I would want one eventually since I collect Nikons. But then I realized I had 2 items on my collection list which I could also afford for cheaper. The Df is a retro 10 year old dslr with similar style and can use all my Fmount lens collection. The 70-200 2.8e is a dream lens for my D850Tl:dr I'm Acustic for Nikon gear
>>4326069
>>4326149>Tl:dr I'm Acustic for Nikon gearyeah but why? None of that junk is going to be worth money in the future and it doesn't do anything special
>>4326067>Nikon 70-200 2.8Eeasy
>>4326149Availability of the Df is only going to get worse. If you're set on getting it as a collection piece at some point, you should probably get it sooner than later. Which you're obviously aware of, so I assume you're not set on it?
I vote for the Df.
>>4326112Just get something small and with a totally silent mode if you want to do street. I would not pay >$1000 for a street camera. Your D850 would probably make you more invisible than a trendy retro body if you knew how to act. Otherwise just get a decent modern pns and watch videos on effective street photography. It's essentially wildlife photography, you have to learn how to get close without startling your subjects.
>>4326112Get the 70-200 and also get a 28mm AI-S to put on the D850 for street. People that think a trendier looking camera will make them seem like threatening while shooting street are fooling themselves. Only your behavior determines that.
>>4326067Get the 70-200 and then spend the rest on:>FM, FM2, FE, FE2>AI or AI-S prime lens of your choice>film
>>4326112If you do wildlife I would also consider the 200-500mm. 70-200mm is okay as a general purpose zoom, but its not going to get you up close to animals.
i once had 80-200mm f/2.8 twistzoom, sold it 70-200mm f/2.8E is probably nice
>>4326112>However the 70-200 has always been on my bucket lists of lenses. What is your use case for it? Did you ever shoot with any 70-200 and found that you need it, or is it just GAS symptom?I used to feel the same at one point and after renting it a few times I found that it's surprisingly very limited in application, at least for me. It's not a good street lens, not a good astro lens, very limited nature/landscape lens, and I don't shoot portrait, fashion, events and shit which is where it has the most use. A 50mm f/1.4 does 95% of what it does on the short end. And on the long end, it's too short it's 95% if my use cases because I need at least 400mm.For the few occasions I do need this range I bought a shitty Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro which does everything I need (with bonus almost-macro capability which is kind of neat sometimes). Plus it fits in a pocket.
>>4326067>-A Nikon 70-200 2.8E>$1899those are literally $300 used
