I believe so. Both cameras are 24 MP. I know there's the complaint of having a fixed lens, but I actually enjoy having that. It gives me a challenge, and when I have that fixed frame in my head I have a better idea what to do with my shots.

I wish I had this thing with me during my trip to Japan. I literally got it a month after coming back. I plan on using it on another trip next year!

While I can respect your suggestion, I like what I have. I got a great deal, it takes amazing photos, and it's nice and slim. Very covert unlike the Rebel that I used to own back in high school and college.

I've been doing more traveling as of late, and this thing is just fantastic for all of that. It's the perfect camera for me. Also, I'm more of a landscape photographer than a people photographer. When it comes to taking stills it's very, very nice.
