I don't take pictures with a film camera because I don't enjoy the slow and methodical thinking approach to photography.

I want to take a photo, review it in camera, then change settings and see how that looks.

I understand a lot of you are very professional and can do this with your imagination, but that's not for me. I don't want to wait 48 hours to get it developed and see if my imagination is correct. I don't want to me limited to so small amount of photos.

I like to take photos. It makes me go outside, it gives me something to do, it gets me to explore, it makes me happy. I don't care if I'm not going to be an artist, I don't even want to roleplay as one by shooting film or having a successful thematic instagram page.

I don't care if digital will not give me the best quality. Most film photos are scanned with a digital sensor anyway, so that doesn't matter in the end, it's just one step more to getting the same image.

I went on a date with a Art History student, who is interested in photography and by the end of our photo date she laughed at me for being a pleb, for not doing photography like "it's meant to be".

I might not be very good, but that's okay. We all approach things in the life differently.

Have a blessed day, anons! :)

Frogposter, snapshitter, what else?
>>

>she laughed at me for being a pleb, for not doing photography like "it's meant to be".
give up photography, cuckold. there is no such thing as "doing photography like "it's meant to be"".

do whatever you enjoy. digital is cool.
>>
once again digicucks want to be like film
>>
>>4363193

That’s ok anon just wait until your 500th hour in Lightroom or photoshop messing around with sliders in frustration while the colours still look bad.
At that point you might discover film is actually a lot less work to get a nicer looking photo.
>>
>>4363193
there’s nothing particularly more methodical when shooting film. It’s just poorfag mindset because they’re scared to burn film. Also there’s nothing particularly special of film renders, the lab developers use digital color profiles to give that particular “film” colors. Film is basically burning cigarettes versus vaping. People like it because of the analog, barbaric feel. That’s it.
>>
>>4363405

Digital photography=90% sitting in front of a pc
Film photography=90% out taking photos.

You just have to learn to be more selective when to actually take a photo
>>
>>4363406

Most people scan their own, only total beginners would have the lab scan the negatives so your point is invalid.

if you've ever scanned your own negatives, which I do with my still functioning Nikon coolscan, then you'd know how soulless negatives are without post-processing. You're dishonest if you think negatives can stand on their own after scans.

>>
>>4363418

A quick 5 second curve adjustment, it’s many times easier than getting a digital photo to look nice, or get a better scanner.
>>
>>4363424

Plustek scanner owner actually, the amount you save paying for lab to scan means it’s free and I have no idea why anybody wouldn’t buy one.
>>
>>4363429
>the amount you save
$2 a roll?

Wow I guess just 200 rolls and it pays for itself. Scanning at home is for MF/LF shooters, 35mm doesn't have high quality detail unless you shoot low ISO slides.
>>
>>4363431

Move to Australia, you will be saving approx $20 per roll.
Your scanner is paid off in months.
>>
>>4363435
especially black and white and if you push it. im not paying ~$30AUD when i can do it myself at home for a dollar or so. absolutely insane
>>

>>
>>4363429
Plustek is amateur af. You aren’t saving anything with subpar scans.
>>

Obviously a $5k scanner can do more but absolutely nobody on this site needs that.
A plustek does amazing scans and cost under $500.

You’re looking at a $1747.99 photograph, folks

A $1749.99 photograph that has worse detail rendering than a TEN megapixel d200 with 7 stops of dynamic range. This is barely ok on a phone, on a laptop or ipad its literal garbage that an iphone 15 or samsung galaxy could have shot better. Lol.

see, when I was hiking through that nature preserve at 6 in the morning I took handheld snapshits with my OM-5. "ohhh nice trree. *snap* daaaayum that IBIS is great"
the only other people I encountered were other photographers. they had heavy gear backpacks with them. they took their FF cams with their thicc zooms out, put them on a tripod and stood there for god knows how long minmaxing bullshit and playing around with composition moving their tripod contraption by a few cm. by the time they pressed the shutter for the first time I had taken another 20 shots of 5 different trees in fog in the morning.
I had a blast. it was fun. and I was very happy. im the carI downloaded the SOOC jpgs directly to my phone and posted them on whatsapp status to get feedback once my numerous friends and family would be awake to tell me DUDE THOSE PICS LOOK AWESOME
I bet those FF tripod boomers are still dicking around in lightroom editing their first shot of the morning.
now try putting a price on this. you cant. also I got the om5 and the lens pretty cheap as it was used :)

I have noticed that the white man enjoys nature and the outdoors. Thus nature photography is white photography.

Jews enjoy photographing people because as a parasitic subrace they feel attraction to host species. It's like if wolves somehow enjoyed photographing sheep.

you mean degenerate postmodernist jewish arts only created so jews could corner the art market and sell literal shit to idiots with too much money? of course no one with a sense for aesthetics would get involved with that. classical art is white. modern """""art"""" is jewish.
>>

Street photography was invented by white men (specifically the scottish and french). Photography in general was, really. Originally, the primary purpose as portraiture, and street is just everyday portraiture, a portrait of the act of being a living human being. So your post is antisemitic nonsense.
