The aurora just flew over my house.
>Dat feel when unusually much aurora activity all over my country at the moment, but where I am it has been cloudy for weeks and will if the weather shamans are correct continue.
>>4372111Speak English, Pajeet
Possible Aurora tonight for Aus bros. Was apparently one last night at 3am too.
>>4372113They have aurora borealis in India?
At this time of day, at this time of year, in this part of the country, localised entirely within your sky?
I'm getting WILD colors with just 1/4th at f/1.2, ISO 800.
>>4372243I use an EOS M for whatever reason now. Small and cheap and good enough. It's producing some BASED results.
>>4372245What lens are you using? I have an m50 m2 and am stuck using the stock lens since it has the lowest of f/3.5 of the lens I have. Still have to use 8k iso to pick up any real color. Although where I'm at it can't be seen with the naked eye.
>>4372284Best I ended up getting. Down sampled due to file size limits.
>>4372120He's probably in Canada.
>>4372287Heaps of places in USA and Europe can see it right nowhttps://www.sws.bom.gov.au/Aurora/3/1
>>4372111Same thing here, I suffer
It's over Australia too, took this 20 minutes ago.
>>4372331I CANT FUCKING SEE IT PAST ALL THIS LIGHT POLUTION. FUUUAAAAARRRRRRRRR
>>4372369Outside of that fence all my neighbours have their lights and shit on, I'm pulling an all nighter and hope they aren't as well , shits gonna get very good from 3am for everyone on the southern coast.
>>4372384Think I'll stay up and have a drive up to the nearby mountains. Not sure if NSW is gonna get a good look anyway
>>4372385I don't know if it's going to be brighter than yesterday morning but it should still be a biggun, good luck anon, hopefully the mountains save you from the godforsaken LED's.

>>4373680you don't want longer than 3 seconds exposure unless you really just want a photo of colorful blur
>>4373719They were pretty diffuse in my area anyways. I did a test round at 1.5 seconds first and it wasn't bright enough without increasing ISO. My last set from the May 10 event shot at 2 sec 1000 ISO ended up too noisy so I didn't want to end up in that situation again.
>>4373683keep us updated anon, I'm eager to see more aurora shots
>>4373772>>4373683>>4373680Your white balance is a touch too warm and seems to have some magenta tint
>>4373782Good catch, I'm admittedly terrible at spotting white balance. I thought it was the magenta from the aurora but it was way out of line. Still a tad magenta here maybe, but if I tilt too much the other way the greens look too vivid and overedited[EXIF data available.
