The RF and Z pancakes have noisy external focusing and sony tries to keep things, especially autofocus, up to modern standards especially for video shooters. If you wanna “u dn need moar” cope with building corner and say-cheese grade equipment, pentax is over there! Sony probably wouldnt ever put their name on a lens as bad as the nikkor 26mm f2.8.

Its doubtful sony would release a lens that bad. They have a majority stake in tamron and will probably release a shitty pancake through them instead if interest manifests outside of sony alpha rumors and /p/. But its not likely. The other 2 pancakes barely sold. Nikon ended up dropping the price a ton for a short period to clear stock.

It's so fucking ass, to be honest, regretting purchasing it a bit, if you could change the aperture from f4.5-16, you could leave it in manual mode and just shoot and let auto ISO do it's thing, but f4.5 is thin enough where missing focus is pretty noticeable

I tried shooting from the waist just aiming the camera at the general direction I wanted the pic taken, and because the AF is so ass, it was either blurry, or didn't shoot because it was trying to focus.
