I think the last one the night time shots was the best, others lacked some contrast. They are well exposed though imo. Day time shots' colours seem a bit off, but each to their own.

Somebody else on /p/ mentioned that my photos seems to have odd coloration, mostly in red shades. Im using Darktable (2.6) for these so it could be related to how it handles RAWs. By off you mean too much saturated or something else?

No specific notes. Overall with travel photos I think you benefit from keeping the end media in mind and treating it like your going to put it in a physical album/book for yourself and enjoy that process first and foremost. I think this Anon >>4374966 has a good point. Your 'interesting take' could be 'Nightlife in Japan' but then you wouldn't have your nice daytime shots. Better to just focus on picture variety and composition I think.

Do not “crop cope” with a prosumer crop sensor camera like an om-1 or fuji or uggo dexter looking DSLR. Buy a camera that will remain a fun side gig even if you get a “real” one later. I was using D5300 for long time and that was my first camera, only switched to D750 later because I was doing a lot of shots in poor light conditions. Do you really think he needs top quality equipment, however? "Good enough" is not a meme, its reality. Same approach as carrying separate prime lens for "perfect" parameters instead of "universal" variable lens.
